SHINNY

I really can't recommend a set of freshwater pearls enough. They are a wonderful addition to class up any nice outfit. My pearls are my first choice when I'm dressing professionally, and they just make a girl feel lovely.

This one just because it's a gorgeous piece of jewelry on sale, so you're getting a wonderful deal.

Also, even though this is Random Acts of Amazon, I'd like to recommend you look at etsy sometime for jewelry. Much of it is handmade, unique, and reasonably priced.

I love jewelry, so I hope you find something lovely!

No problem man! Just a few examples, the opals on the higher side, but do some looking. Opal is classy as heck my wife loves the stuff. Do some looking just make sure you get real vs lab stuff.

I'd do a pointy toed flat, perhaps in a dressy fabric like velvet or patent leather. Red shoes and lipstick would be cute, but perhaps that's too much? Otherwise black or nude, if you don't want metallic. You need a necklace and earrings minimum to not look under-dressed. A dress shoe alone won't elevate a casual dress. Either a statement necklace, or something classic like pearls. Freshwater pearls are inexpensive these days.

Globalization and mass production have their upsides :) You can buy AA+ stuffs.

Link now suitable for joke, non native English speaking mixed with tired = me.

OK, so when I found out about it, I spent the next weekend watching openings. It doesn't exist in my country and the very notion that this exists at all baffles me.

Here's what I've learned about it: it costs 25 bucks the mussel, they're not oysters, they are fresh water cultured mussels and aren't nowhere near as valuable, they are 25 anywhere, regardless of your pearl person. So you bought an oyster mussel, now what? Week, now, your pearl person will open them live, sometimes they give you the option of choosing which one they'll open for you, that's only an illusion of choice, it changes nothing, after picking it they'll open it and show everyone your spoils. Upon opening you find out the colour and I'd you're lucky enough to have another one inside, sometimes there are up to 3 extra pearls, then Pearl person will clean it, show up close how gorgeous it looks and then they'll measure it, upon measuring it they'll tell you how much it's "worth" the value often floats around 50 bucks.

So that's nice then, right? You paid only 25 bucks for a 50+ pearl, right?! Wrong, freash water dyed pearls are very cheap stuff, you can but an entire necklace with better quality pearls for the price of four mussels right now, pearls are also very porous stuff which means it's very easy to dye, it also means the cheap dye to wash out really fast. So now you have a loose pearl, wtf will you do with it? Well, fear not! Your pearl person will sell you cheap ass overpriced jewelry for your cheap ass overpriced pearl, they start at 50-60 bucks. You want earrings and didn't get "twins"? Well tough shit, bitch, keep buying them until you get another one with the same colour and similar size.

Also, the mussels are not edible, they go trough a very agressive process to conserve them.
