Also I've always thought that a cast iron handle holder would be a pretty good solution for this. You could carry your pipe in it too, and never have to worry about putting it away hot. This one says it's heat safe up to 600F too. Might have to actually try that out one of these days...

Hey there - this post really helped me take better care of my brushes. And I found the red pot holder she used in the clearance section in Walmart, but you can also find it here. That was many months ago now, but any reasonably textured silicone pot holder will do the trick, really. The Dr. Bronner's I personally found at Target. Makes cleaning my brushes a much quicker process than the cups of water I was using before.

alrighty dude, don't get your panties in a twist. I was talking about campfire cooking, not making quaker oats from a bag. Frying an egg with some potatoes and bacon with side heat is a lot more work than just having it completely surrounded by coals. and yes, seriously, one of those square pot holders is about as heavy and space consuming as a pair of underwear. Idk how you like to camp, but I prefer not to have my hands seared by the pot. Although, none of that stopped you from assuming OP is just gonna heat up some water and pour it into an MRE.

I need either this shoe rack because we need something that will fit into a cubby and I am tired of our shoes being everywhere in the house, or these potholders since we're down to just one and I am positive I am going to drop a dish full of food one day with just the terrible one we have.
