If you're going to jerk about consoles, at least get your fucking information right.

Consoles are NOT $400 anymore. At most, $350 for a new one. PS4 $349 [Xbox One S $299](
https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-One-S-500GB-Console/dp/B01GW3GY3K/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1466543769&sr=1-9&keywords=xbox+one) Wii U $299

5 games will cost $300 if you don't have GCU or Amazon Prime and buy new releases, shit. I could pre-order 5 games now on Amazon and it'll be less than $250.

What the fuck kind of accessories are you buying that'll equal $100 - 200? I bought a fucking stand and another controller and a usb extension cable. Under $100. Double digits motherfucker.

Yep. Uh huh. 1 year is totally $150.

Mine got a little warm yesterday but I was using it for a few hours, nothing crazy though. I don't think you will need a fan, the case has an open rim around the top.

AmazonBasics USB 2.0 Extension Cable - A-Male to A-Female - 6.5 Feet (2 Meters) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NH136GE/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apap_rspym691O9zjf The controller cord is pretty long but I bought this because my couch and TV are really far apart, you probably won't need it.

You will need a keyboard to set up the controller for the first time, I borrowed my boyfriend's but I ordered this: Tripsky T9 2.4GHz Backlit Wireless Mini Keyboard, Handheld Remote with Touchpad Mouse for Android TV Box, Windows PC, HTPC, IPTV, Raspberry Pi, XBOX 360, PS3, PS4(Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XTF17JT/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_qLBPzbH96P1AG It is supposed to work with Pi but I'll have to get back to you when it gets here tomorrow.

I already had an HDMI cable but it's an Amazon Basics cable.

I was super pissed about not being able to get the SNES last week but this came out to around the same price for tons more games, plus Kodi. I don't think I'd be able to build it myself, so the card was awesome.

Power off by hitting quit on the main menu, then shut down. Wait until it's off (disconnected from TV screen) and unplug the power cord. Some people add buttons but this works just fine.

(When you load a game it says press any button to configure before it comes up, DO NOT PRRSS ANYTHING. It will do it on its own and start, you don't have to do any of that. I messed up and pressed it and didn't know how to get out.)

Same here! No explanation, just working perfectly a couple of months ago.

I wanted to report in that the Bluetooth dongle + USB extension cord finally got everything working! Oh my word. This was such an annoying experience but now I'm kicking myself for not trying this simple solution sooner!

I messed around in the home portal and No Man's Sky for a bit (didn't have enough time to play with it for longer) and I experienced no issues whatsoever. Wow. I forgot how responsive VR used to be!!

So maybe give that a shot. I can't believe it's working again. I'll link the exact models I purchased here in an edit.

Bluetooth Dongle

I should also add, when I did a clean install, I was able to select the option to keep my personal files and it still removed the 15-5 issue.

Nah, it won't happen... but I'm not joking, a keyboard is kinda mandatory for this game. I recently got this wired one to avoid bluetooth issues:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005EOWBHC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and the usb cable extension:

pretty cheap if you ask me and a very nice build for that price.

An OTG "Y" cable with a Flirc connected to it works with the Fire TV Stick 2 and lets you use any IR remote to control it. I fully expect the pendent Fire TV 3 to work this way as well. Remeber though, you'll need the Flirc sticking out of the front so you'll likely also need a USB extension cable.

This only works with the Fire TV Stick 1 if it is rooted because OTG is not enabled by default.

Most likely the dongle is malfunctioning and is "leaking" radio waves that are causing interference to nearby devices.

As far as getting it to not interfere, do you have USB extension cable (USB A Female to Male) So that you could move the USB dongle further away from the mouse?

If it moved further from the mouse it may no longer cause the interference.

A usb cable like this

Here's a 6.5ft USB extension cable. It's USB 2.0 Type A, but you can find them in plenty of varieties and as long as 15 feet.

If you're willing to go over budget by a bit, this would probably be the best ideal wireless option:

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/r7RFf7/gigabyte-gc-wb867d-i-rev-42-none-wi-fi-adapter-gc-wb867d-i-rev-42

However, if you need to stay under $20 then something like this:

Plus a USB 2.0 extension cable like this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NH136GE/

Will work really quite well. You need to use the extension cable for best results. This allows you to move the wireless adaptor away from any soft of electromagnetic interference that the PC may generate, as well as giving you the flexibility to position the adaptor in the ideal place to get a good signal.

It's also important to use a USB 2.0 cable, not 3.0. USB 3.0 sometimes causes interference and other issue for cheap adaptors like this. Also, this adaptor will limit you to a maximum bandwidth of 150mbps. However, this is still faster than most people's home internet connections, so it probably won't be an issue.

What may be an issue sometimes with any wireless option is latency. If you are a competitive online gamer, wireless will always be an inferior option to Ethernet.

May be a dumb question, but has anyone tried the AmazonBasics USB 2.0 Extension Cable for moving the Bluetooth adapter away from interference, or would I have to get a specific USB 2.0 extension cable?
