I'm not too well versed in fixed blades but I'll give it a shot.

How big are you looking for? You could always check out the Coye collab Böker Plus Ridgeback. 3.38" blade, full tang, with Böker's 440C which should hold an edge decently. Should be about 73 AUD w/o shipping or tax.

Another option could be a Buck 119. 6" blade, full tang, with Buck's famous 420HC. It seems like that would be about 68 AUD without shipping or tax.

Edit: Did some more research on prices and specs.

Edit 2: Added links. Also, the best part about these is that they're easy to sharpen and don't require as much care as a carbon steel since the steels they use are stainless. An amazing and affordable option that uses carbon steel would be the ESEE Izula which comes in at around 89 AUD w/o tax or shipping, though I'm unsure if it's considered full tang. It has a 2.875" blade and is made of a coated 1095 carbon steel, a very well regarded carbon steel. Also, their warranty is absolutely phenomenal, but I'm unsure how it works internationally.

Edit 3: I did some more research. Apparently the ESEE Izula II is full tang according to this Amazon listing. Some more research is definitely required to ensure that it is indeed full tang but I have class soon so I'm clocking out for now

The Boker Plus Ridgeback looks quite similar to the Magnum and has similar materials and a 440C blade.

Costs a bit more than $40 though.
