This isn't a way to prevent them, but it is the best method I have found so far to removing them. Fresh and old bugs.
I live in Oregon and the bugs are horrible here. I have always had an issue with removing them because they get stuck on there pretty damn well. I did a bunch of looking stuff up online to find a good product that works because when I washed my truck last (one month ago) I didn't get a lot of bugs off. I purchased bugs n all and a mckees bug remover sponge, and wow was I impressed. I sprayed it on and let it sit for a minute and used the sponge and it removed everything really easy. Old and fresh bugs! I used it on the bumper, hood, grill, chrome, license plate, and window.
