Klipsch Image S4A. But they are more than $30.

Klipsch S4i/a: These are by far the best bang for your buck IMO. When I put them in I can't hear anything around me (that horrible BART screeching included) and the sound is great. Not to mention those around me can't hear when I am blasting heavy metal and what not.

You should take a look at the Klipsch S4a, or (if you can extend your budget a bit) the Shure SE215. Both have inline remotes that work with Android devices.

Idk if you're going to find many that are less than $50, but I'd recommend taking a look at the following options:

V-Moda Faze

SE115M+

Hope those help.

I currently have the Klipsch Image S4i for iPhone and they are great. Really noise isolating and sound quite nice. I'm actually on my second pair since the buttons failed on the first after riding in the rain on my motorcycle for a year (Hey, they still sorta worked... and what was I expecting, subjecting the headsets to constant rain).

To address your question, Klipsch did something smart, they also have the Klipsch Image S4A. i for iPhone... a for... Android! Same headset, but for android. When my Gal S4 arrives, I plan on getting a set of the S4A.

I cant say if they address all your requirements, but I think they'll get close. They are def "low profile" enough for my use, as I wear them while on my motorcycle with a full face helmet on.

Hope that helps!

Lost the Samsung IEM headphones that I got with my phone. I was happy with them and looking for a replacement with the mic/3 buttons for android phones with some improved noise quality.

Budget: $25-$100 The more I can save the better but I am willing to pay for quality.

Source: Lenovo laptop, Samsung Galaxy S3

Isolation: Looking for moderate amount of passive isolation mostly using these for studying in quite places to cafeteria noise levels. Every IEM passive isolation that I've used has been good enough for me so far.

Type: IEM

Tone: I like well balanced sound, but with some emphasis on the bass. Definitely want to have some punch if I play around with the equalizer.

Past headphones: Samsung OEM headphones I was satisfied with the sound quality and the remote works fine. Only $6 quite possibly fake. MEElectronics m31 fell apart on me and none of the tips seemed to fit quite right. They had to sit at the right angle in the ear canal or they'd be muffled.

Music: Alternative, punk rock, edm, hip-hop, a little bit of everything.

Headphones I'm currently interested in: Samsung OEM, I'm having a hard time finding any decent 3 button/mic headphones for Android on amazon most seem cheap or made for Iphone.

For example these JBL J22i look great but reviews say the buttons only work on IOS. While the Klipsch Image S4A use a 1 button mic and a free android app. That's not what I'm looking for. These Logitech 350vm Ultimate Ears use a wheel for volume control but I don't understand how Samsung can make 3 button remotes that work and 3rd parties can't.

Found a link to form with confirmed compatible headphones.

Location: US.

Thanks!

Look into the Klipsch S4A. They are a bit on the pricey side, but have the controls and amazing sound quality.
I've had mine for over a year and use them for everything, never had an issue with them.

Yeah, some are apple only, and its hard to tell which ones work with Android. Klipsch does make a pair of Android-only headphones but they're not specifically meant for working out (have a pair of the apple version, they have quite a bit of cable noise. the older model does not though.) all I can say is look at the page on Amazon or the page on the website for the specific headphones, it sometimes say somewhere if it's apple only or not. Anyway, heres the links to the klipsch android ones:

These are quite excellent. Klipsch has been my go-to for in-ears for a while. Good isolation, sturdy enough, and great sound.
