If you want absolute silence there's a product that's synonymous with that here in Germany: Ohropax. They're wax earplugs. And they're one of those products that just work.

Apparently you can get them in the US through importers and even Amazon. (Assuming that's where you are).

What you want is this. This isn't some type of foamy earplug. These actually keep the noise out and are incredibly comfortable. I've been using those for over a decade.

You'll still be woken up by your alarm if that's what would concern you, meanwhile.

You should try these wax ones, they block out the most noise and are the most comfortable ear plugs I've ever worn :)

I'd recommend an investment in these two fine products, used to drown out my Jungle neighbors at Tipper & Friends this year:

Theyre from Amazon. I think they’re German or something.

I prefer wax earplugs myself.

I sleep with ohropax wax plugs:

Been using them for almost 30 years every night. Take off the cotton and mold them in a trumpet like form before putting them in, with the pointed side in your ear and flat side on the outside. Press the flat side a little to get a more ot less airtight seal.

You can reuse them a few days to 1 or 2 weeks depending on cleanliness of your ears.

Have you tried these?

I use them regularly to sleep and their the only ones I can tolerate when my head in resting sideways on the pillow. They're wax so they just morph into the shape of your ear without feelings like you've stuffed a whole pillow in there.

I have been using these for 2 years. Each pair can be used for up to 2 weeks IMO. These have been the best thing I've ever done for my marriage! I sleep through snores and even drilling noises (construction outside my house).
They mould to your ear shape very easily

Try the wax ones, I got a small tin of these and they are fantastic.

They are very effective. You do have to squish them with your fingers and mold them into a slightly cylindrical shape to get them deep enough into your ear canal (but not so deep that you can't pull them out.) Usually I devide one blob into 2 parts and put one in each ear, but your ear canal size may vary. Get them here

Have you tried wax ear plugs like [these](Ohropax Ohropax Wax Ear Plugs 12 plugs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006NXBVQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xvfEybZ1GCSMX) or [these](World's Finest Ear Plug---(1-Pair) Sample Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003FYNLYK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ywfEyb2EQEZYW) ? My husband snores like a boat horn. We had to sleep in separate rooms until I found good ear plugs. I do like the earplugs in the second like more, but I do not use lanolin anymore and the Ohropax in the first link are a close runner up. Neither earplugs get caught in my hair, and they are both loads better than anything you can find at a drugstore.

Edit: white noise didn't help drown out his horrible snoring. Breath right strips didn't help either.
