I was going to buy a ps2 controller to use with my adapter but this was just cheaper.

My biggest concerns were the performance issues and controls.

For performance, it sounds like the patch that's going around fixes alot of issues. The only major downside I hear still remains is the framerate cap.

As far as controls, I've heard keyboard and mouse is horrid to use, and I'm worried my controller isn't going to be supported.

Should be this one. It kind of looks like a cheap, off brand controller to me.

I have one of those controllers. For they price, their quality is absolutely astounding. I recommend these for anyone who needs an all purpose USB controller.

I use the snakebyte official FFXIV 1.0 controller on PC - its a mock ps3 controller with longer handles for a more comfortable grip and buttons instead of triggers for L2/R2 which I prefer so I don't end up with cramped hooks for fingers. I tend to play monk & other melee based jobs like a button bashing street fighter noob lol
