I had a lot of luck with these on my R700s, but if I were to do it again, maybe I'd get this and these.

The "high, medium, low" are relative by the ring maker. I use the high rings and a 20 MOA mount for a 60mm objective and have a little clearance, so you should be able to use medium rings with a 50mm objective and also have a little clearance.
