the 6p one will work just fine. There are a lot of good ones on amazon, try and find the ones that are Benson Leung approved (he works for google and tests them for proper voltage).
http://www.amazon.com/Nekteck-resistor-Charging-Reversible-Macbook/dp/B00VIWE1ZY/
is one of them
Not all. Get the Anker or iOrange. Or https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00VIWE1ZY?vs=1
I bought two of these and they're great:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VIWE1ZY?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00
I also bought the quick charger from the same company. Works as advertised:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011DK97GI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01
the would be fine. But do avoid using the Orange Quick charge port until more testing has been done, just use the blue 5v ports. The Switch was advertised as not compatible with quick charge, so you want to play it safe.
Also make sure you get a USB-a to c cable rated for that amount of power. I would suggest something like this
Well instead of a micro USB cable you would use a USB A to C cable like these:
https://oneplus.net/dash-type-c-cable-411
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00VIWE1ZY/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1478633761&sr=8-2&pi=SL75_QL70&keywords=Nekteck+USB+c
If you would transfer your files wirelessly then take a look at the SuperBeam Pro app.
How short did you mean?
I've had this for about a year and it's worked great with no problems:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VIWE1ZY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
But it's three feet long.
I ended up purchasing this
Don't care for braided cables - they're stiff adding strain to the ports.
I got this one, Benson approved. It's kinda thin, but I got it for my desk at work. Works fine.
If you're getting one for use with a battery pack, I'd probably get a thicker one.
If you haven't gotten a battery pack, I got this and really like it.
Obviously, it'd be smart to have at least 1 usb A to C cable for when you're out and about in case you have to use somebody's standard usb charger.
There's this spreadsheet which I used to find mine. I got this - not an adapter, but did what I needed
I have two of these now and they are great.
Also have two of these and they are great as well.
I bought 4 of these and they do the job for data and charging. I'll check the list above later.

thunderbolt yes, usb devices no. for usbc devices you will simply need to connect using a type c to type a cable.
Always use Benson Leung Approved Type-C equipment
for TB3 here
keep in mind it needs to be the last device in the chain and does not support displays. It will work backwards (tb3 device on tb2 port, which is what you are asking about)
Yeah, those cables look really nice but lack Benson's approval. One reviewer said "These cables have the correct resistors and are compliant with the USB Type C specification, so your mobile devices will be safe purchasing these! :)" but we don't know how he has tested this. Many people were saying cables were good because they passed the CheckR app test, but Benson has explained that that app only checks for one thing, and that cables that pass in CheckR may still not be fully compliant.
Some people were maintaining a list of Benson approved accessories. While it appears that this hasnt been updated in some months, it should still be useful:

Personally I have the [NekTeck USB 3.1 A to C cable] (http://www.amazon.com/Nekteck-resistor-Charging-Reversible-Macbook/dp/B00VIWE1ZY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1463425867&sr=8-1&keywords=nekteck+A+to+C) and its great.
