Buy the Wii Cleaning Kit, or go to a videogame shop that has a disc polish machine, and ask them to polish the MK disc.

It's because your wii's disk reader is old, probably dusty or something. I had the same problem which was fixed by replacing the boot.elf file with an older project m version's boot.elf. This works because in the older versions, it didn't take you back to the wii menu, it just lets you try again. You could do that or fix the wii by buying this but it's sort of expensive.

Edit: Where you can download older versions of project m: https://sites.google.com/site/sapphiredragon77/SapphireDragon/projectm-mirror

Here is a link from Amazon.

Just a disclaimer, I never had to use this product so I can not vouch for its effectiveness or if it will work right. I would try Nintendo support first but the reason I suggest this is if the discs work at a friends house then I'm thinking the issue is with the disc reader in the system.

This is what I have. It's not a homemade solution, but it works well.

Your Wii's lens is dirty. Try a Wii lens cleaning kit. Not sure how good these work because i made a homemade one but your problem is definitely a dirty lens.
