I bought a few of these and am pretty happy with them:

http://amzn.com/B00F3R7TSQ

They say "compression" but they're just training tights. They're pretty pretty comfortable and fit well.

That is a good post from a few days ago filled with comments about what people wear.

Here is my comment copied and pasted:

I have Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, and Kirkland Signature (Costco), and UA boxer briefs. The UA ones feel strange, so I dont wear them often. They are my "oops, forgot about that laundry thing" pair. I like Fruit of the loom most of the time and really like the Kirkland ones. They are the most....snug fit, which I find to be most comfortable. I should also admit that most of mine are probably a bit too large as I lost weight and the Kirkland ones are the only ones I bought after losing most of the weight.

As for compression gear, I normally wear Nike compression shorts.

I have a pair of Under Armour compression shorts that I do not like as much as the Nikes. They are a bit thicker, but I still wear them on occasion.

I have a few pairs of Athleta tights, but also have these and these and find both comfortable. The first link ones I find to be a bit thicker, which is really useful as it is colder now, but I didnt find them too thick and warm in the summer.

My brother and a few others I know have bought the cheap gear from Target (Champion I think), and that stuff seems decent, they find it comfortable. So that could be something else to try out.

I use the Myles everyday shorts and they work great. Just a sturdier version of soccer shorts. They even shed water for a short time.

I have a pair of windpants that I put on in the morning if it's cool, but I take them off before hitting the trail as my legs warm up pretty quickly.

In super cold weather, I use a pair of 5.11 cargo pants.

There's a company called "Beroy" on Amazon that makes sweats I really like. Durable and comfortable with pockets that zip.

EDIT: Here are the ones I have: https://www.amazon.com/beroy-Training-Running-Workout-Sweatpants/dp/B01MA0RXZG Maybe not as close-fitting as some styles, but I'm OK with that personally

Literally JUST ordered [this](CW-X Insulator Stabilyx 3/4 Tights, Black/Yellow/Orange, Large https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HYTPF82/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_OjkLybEYP0JFM)

Opedix seems a bit pricey. If you have the $, go for it.
But all I keep hearing is best knee injury prevention is working out and getting your knees prepared for the slopes. If you want any more support, you go to braces. Which I'm considering.

These sweatpants from champion are pretty solid, slim fitting and long and are like $15

u/vermilionweirdo · 1 pointr/running

My wife ordered these for me last year from Amazon.

They are ok for keeping out the wind. The main drawback I find is that they do not fit around the legs tightly so they are like sails. I have never had a problem with my legs getting cold wearing these.

u/rustisgold- · 1 pointr/Fencing

I have these cheapos from Amazon, and I really like them.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MRY4X2W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_26x.BbC6PTNYW

They are very breathable, have good pockets, and are comfy. They attract dog hair like crazy, but otherwise many thumbs up.

these

Got a bunch of compliments on my $16 joggers. No one will know. Plus they’re comfortable

I'm a bit more stout than your average runner, but I go with track pants like these:

Hind Munich Pant
or
Adidas Response Astro

u/TacoReese · 1 pointr/running

Most comments I've seen, and definitely agree with as I love my tights (I'm a guy), aren't giving an alternative though. I suggest the Bayleaf running pants. They're a sweat pant that is looser than tights, but not overly loose that they'll interfere too terribly with your running. I use them when I go to the gym, not for running. But this is the best alternative I could find. The other alternative is to wear running shorts over tights. But I've always felt that to be uncomfortable. Anyways, here's a link to the sweat pants. Check 'em out! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N0RJ5KF?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

I bought these a while back and they seem to be unavailable, but maybe it can put you on the right track. I do like them.

Thanks for the recommendation! Might give these ones a try…

What about these?
adidas Men's Running Response Track Pants, Black/Black, Small https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HM2U954/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_UHsyCbKHNCKXA

I own a pair and these are by far my favorite, material is soft and stretchy. However pockets aren't that deep

u/awarrio · 1 pointr/MuayThai

I guess they would get worn down over time through kicking the heavy bag. That said, I used to train No Gi Jiu Jitsu with these on and they didn't wear down that much over 12 months of training in them 4 hours per week! (we did quite a lot of single and double leg takedowns which involved sliding the knees along the mats too and I didn't get any holes in mine).

The gym I box at is in an old farm outhouse building with wooden floors, it's very cold in there at the moment! I layer up my torso with a T-shirt and thick hoodie and usually find I feel pretty warm once I start moving around, I usually end up removing the hoodie after about 20 minutes because it's too hot!

u/killing_time_at_work · 2 pointsr/bodybuilding

Runner's pants or tights. I find tights to be.. too tight. But there is also form fitting pants made of stretchy material. Fits snug, but doesn't choke your legs or your junk. Example:

What do you think of Take Five's products? I found a tight that is only $8 on Amazon.

It's my understanding that leggings and tights are the same thing, just a different name.

I wear these with the stuff I mentioned above (nothing on top, just under): https://www.amazon.com/Saucony-Mens-Tights-Large-Black/dp/B019MSRDLO/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1484496047&sr=8-5&keywords=saucony%2Btights&th=1

u/Kysimir · 6 pointsr/BoJackHorseman

Yup. That's happening.

Pants.
