Cred: 135kg deadlift in competition

For shin bruises, I highly recommend either deadlifting in pants/leggings or investing in a good pair of deadlift socks . Soccer socks work great! You want them to have some cushioning up the front.

Your bar path is super wobbly on the way down. It only wobbles at lock out on the way up, which I’m not totally sure what that’s about. Are you overextending at the top to lock out? Hmm.

On the way down, focus on initiating by driving the hips back. That will clear your knees out of the way. Try to actively think about keeping the bar path as straight as possible.

Your set-up for bracing and shoulders/lats looks fine. Where is the bar in relationship to your foot? That could be part of it.

I’m curious to see what other folks have to say about the wiggle at the top.

Edit: Okay, watching again, your second rep is almost perfect. I think what’s happening is that your wobble on how down part is kicking the part out, so you are pulling the bar in at the same time as you are lifting it. Always reset and keep it locked to your shins between reps.

So many choices. Shoes are nice especially if she's still growing. Ankle braces are nice and not a lot of people have a pair. She likely has knee pads so won't need those any time soon. A ball is nice even if she has one. I'd go for the super touch, /u/Kace10 provided a link. They're cheaper on Amazon. If she ever plays beach, an outdoor ball is a good gift here or here. Lines are also a nice gift, a little pricier here. If she has more than say, 2 balls, a mesh bag is nice here. Or even a regular bag for shoes, ball, towel, etc., you can get those anywhere.

Hooray for big girl prime!!

Scrub pants because they are super light and comfy and the weather is starting to get warmer so I don't have to wear heavy pants anymore! Plus, the monkey is cute :)

Thanks for the contest!! Butts are super funny!!

There are actually several different turning techniques (any one of which can be used by itself, but which are not necessarily mutually exclusive), and sometimes different ones/combinations resonate better with different people. This is a pretty good quick summary of some of the basic ones: https://youtube.com/watch?v=xARhopySrtk (although I can think of at least one other way not included in that video).

I also highly recommend every new EUC rider get a set of cheap flat disc cones like these (https://amazon.com/dp/B01MT5KVFX/) and practice weaving through them. It sounds silly but it really works much better than just practicing turning at random.

This may not be the most popular option - and addresses more questions than you posed - but I use a set of writable cards. I had trouble elegantly using a paper and pencil and book setup, so now I keep my game notes on the yellow card in my chest pocket with a normal Sharpie. My markings come off pretty easily with some aerosol spray and toilet paper. The cards themselves are a bit on the larger side (though I'd guess much closer to 6" than Amazon's 8" figure), but they fit in my pockets fine, their colors are true, and they don't get vent out of shape.

They are certainly professional and functional enough for my purposes but I don't take very high level assignments. Not for everyone, but I would recommend my setup to someone at my own level.

Right now I've got the Reusch Receptor D1s. They are good if the field you play on is turf or if you ever play indoors. The foam is rather durable and I've had no issues with it getting torn up by artificial turf. I've got fairly weak wrists/hands from an injury when I was a kid and the wrist straps give great support. These do include finger-saves that you can not remove however, good for me not so much for others.

I've had other Reusch gloves in the past and loved all of them, I'd recommend trying to find a place to try them on before purchasing if possible (especially ones with finger saves) as the cut is different than other brand of gloves I've had like Nike or Adidas.

Good luck in your search!

I have a very dear friend with a similar condition. I'm so sorry.

I would love to give this for my daughter. She's only 3 right now but she loves to kick things around and chase me in circles. I think we'd have a ton of fun with this.

comforting internet hugs I'm sorry for your bad news. I hope things get better for you.

u/Algoritmi_ · 2 pointsr/bootroom

Yeah there are

I have a pair of these in green (they're pretty comfortable) and they protect pretty well. They have a pad on the bone in the ankle and it's pretty nice I got mine from Dick's for about 10 dollars

u/MajorBen1997 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I think you should get this LEGO Lone Ranger set because who doesn't like the Lone Ranger. He's a vigilante and he might as well be a super hero! I really need new goalie gloves for soccer. I would really like these new gloves because soccer is my whole life, and Goalie is the position I play. My old gloves are ripped and worn down and I very much need a new pair for practice and for tryouts, and I would really appreciate it, my old gloves make my hands feel bunnicula!

u/Arcadus1280 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I love playing soccer with my brothers! I'm a huge fan and of course, it's always fun to just go and spend some time with my family. Purple Nurple!

u/go_nahuel · 6 pointsr/xxfitness

Get some shinguards like they use in soccer in the mean time, haha. Ones like these slip in and out of socks easily, so they might make a good addition to your lifting equipment

u/DarkDeliverance · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I chose Arcadus1280 because we seem to share a lot of the same passions and hobbies :)
He wants this awesome soccer ball because he's really obsessed with German soccer :P
Also, he loves everything car-related

Personally, I would build my own out of like 1/2" pvc. For 3 or 4 gates you would have a 6"x48" bundle of sticks that easily pop together. It is not as portable but it is much cheaper and probably much more durable.

In the vein of pop-up stuff this seem like a good deal it comes with 2 goals and some cones for $40. There is also a 6ft option for $10 more.

u/T1978_sach · 1 pointr/MTB

This is what I got:http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004QVMB24

They work great, good coverage and not bad in the comfort area. I have taken a few falls in them and have no marks on me!

Using a speed rope (https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B014KPLSQU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) (at 100 grams it weights a lot more than the normal very fast ropes used in CrossFit), the one Reebok sells for 5 bucks, definitely helped me. I could do one DU every few SUs, but was not able to go from there to doing many consecutive DUs. I did two things to learn over a single weekend to do 20/30 DUs (a few weeks ago actually): do singe unders with power jump. Then do consecutive DUs, two and stop, then three and stop, eventually I got them. Now I practice every day and was able to close a WOD with 140 DUs a few days ago doing something like 35, 35, 20, 20, .. and so forth. Working with ropes of different weights definitely helped me, but I would say, even more, was to say: ok I'll do that for two days straight until I get them. If you practice just doing alternating one DU and one SU IMHO you'll lose a lot of time learning DUs. Doing a single DU is easy even for most beginners, the point is concatenating.

When you go to a shoe store, you can ask someone who works there to measure your foot. That way you will know where to start on find the best shoe size. Some shoes fit differently so, you might need to go up a size, or you might need a wider fit.

You can also buy "no tie shoelaces". https://www.amazon.com/FootMatters-Curly-Neon-Shoe-Laces/dp/B00VF2FI6S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1520720492&sr=8-1&keywords=no+tie+laces+adults+curly
I've picked them up at Payless Shoe store, usually closer the cash register.

As for pants, my son usually goes for those sports type training pants. https://www.amazon.com/adidas-Training-Pants-Black-White/dp/B00LF1VV06/ref=sr_1_18?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1520720891&sr=1-18&nodeID=7147441011&psd=1&keywords=training+pants+mens You could ask your parents if they have a measuring tape for sewing, that way you can check your waist size.

u/NickyG91 · 3 pointsr/gifs

Reusch hands down.

Had a pair of red and white finger savers when I used to play. Best gloves I have ever owned. Every pair of Adidas gloves I owned usually wore out within a year.

Exact pair of gloves.

u/MastaRolls · 8 pointsr/GoalKeepers

Well you definitely want to avoid sliding on your knees, but buy some padded goalie pants. They wont stop everything, but they help alot.

amazon - reusch GK pants

I find these to be extremely useful. You can create terrain such as bridges, walls doors, gates , etc. in a matter of minutes. And they come with a carrying strap that keeps them in one place.

Buy Proficient Motorcycling by David Hough & Total Control by Lee Parks. Read them. Read the chapters on vision & body positioning & turning again.

Note that many of the above lessons may slightly differ from MSF. Go with the above lessons. MSF leaves a LOT to be desired concerning actual road riding.

Buy some cones. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011DWGWX2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Go to a big empty parking lot. Lay out the cones. Set up a camera to record your performance if you have one. Practice. Review. Practice.

I bought a pair of padded GK pants. 10/10 would recommend

This thing is a tank. It will never break and will never need to be inflated, even if it has a hole. It won't bounce the same as a real ball, but it cannot die.

Back when I reffed, I would either use the little notepads that go in the cardbook, or write directly on my yellow card in sharpie, and rinse it off with rubbing alcohol/acetone after the game.

They also sell these
