Actually, that's pretty nice. I don't think I saw that one. (the others largely had full length fitted sleeves and looked both boring and uncomfortable.)

What I like:

-the sleeves are nice, I really like the flare. Though, I'm not decided between full length sleeves or something shorter. I'd like above the elbow with these just as much (easy fix)
-it's rather Victorian

What I don't like:

-the scalloped edging, especially around the collar.
-because it's rather Victorian it doesn't tie into the punk vibe without being modified
-probably no getting around this one but because it's all lace, it's totally floral. I LOVE the idea of lace in general but actually don't like the floral patterns in 98% of lace fabric so I'd at least like it to be toned down by incorporating solid fabric.
-also with full lace I'll probably still be cold for a full dinner & movie date with a/c.

Even though that's a lot of cons I still like this style. The sleeves do so much for it. I might just get it and have as a sort of semi-formal backup.

I actually had just purchased this, even though I said I didn't want cap sleeves, but the ruffles make this so cute, and they're longer short sleeves: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DHCDKZW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_bNEoDb40MK9NJ

I plan to find matching fabric with the front to create lacing panels on the back like this: https://images.app.goo.gl/7HHLBrZviHjtCUiH8

But also, the front ties on this thing are so bad. My first idea is to see if it lays okay without them and remove them, but does anyone else have a more stylish suggestion? Just anything creative.

Mr and Mrs Weasley - Couple Design

This costume idea is created for a couple, however feel free to only use one costume from the two.

Molly:
Molly usually wears an older/vintage style dress with florals or other patterns on it. It’s tied with either a cardigan or a cloak, for this design I went with cardigan. She also either wears long socks and brown boots, or a pair of female Mary Jane shoes. Her hair is styled in a half up hairdo and she sometimes wears a knitted beanie.

Arthur:
Arthur Usually wears a plaid shirt with a woolen suit jacket and suit pants with loafers. His clothing is quite simple, I’ve included a list below for some fun options to add a little fun additions to your costume.

Please keep in mind that a few of these items I couldn’t find sold online very easily, but you can easily pick up at a thrift store [or possibly a family member].

Molly’s Dress

Molly’s Cardigan

Molly’s Hat

Molly’s Shoes

Molly’s hair -Also note here you could also use colored hairspray [ or if you’re lucky have naturally red hair]

Arthur’s Shirt

Arthur’s Jacket

Arthur’s Pants

Arthur’s Shoes

Arthur’s Hair

Optional Extra’s to make you more in character/add a little extra touch could be:

Wool and Knitting Needles [Molly]

Baking Utensils [Molly]

Broom [Molly]

Wand [Both]

Scarf [Both]

Newspaper [Arthur]

Rubber Duck or other Muggle item [Arthur]

Crooked Tie [Arthur]

Good luck creating this if you decide to! Can’t wait to see everyone elses designs!

Futurino Women's Solid Choker V Neck Long Sleeve Loose Knit Sweater Jumper Top https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MDLVGAH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_Jl8M8cH91Giuz
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. This is nice and thick and always receives compliments. ☺

Wearing it here.

OUBAO Women Multi Colors Casual Denim Jeans Pants (S, Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LRK8BPC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_XQnKybQSXBY0W
These are high waisted "jeans" that fit well but are definitely on the thinner side. They're more like a legging but they're comfy.

Towallmark Women Wear To A Wedding A-Line Solid Mini Skirt https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HRKGSHY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_DSnKyb1D5X1YR
I had to laugh when I opened this because it looks like it was made for a doll. They also forgot the button holes.

See here.

Needless to say, I got a refund.

Okay first, do you pinterest? I have an entire Outfit Inspiration board for Work that I can use pieces of my wardrobe from - you might find inspiration there - https://www.pinterest.com/dragonflyjen/outfit-inspirations/

Second, I like the floral and green, since it's spring, I'd probably go with a dark green or grass green shade - I have a bout 30 cardigans (I have issues I know xD) - I usually shop Kohls but amazon has good ones if you read reviews and don't get the ones shipping from china (bad quality and bad sizing) - coupla options:

Congrats on your first gift! Its exciting to put a smile on someone's face :)

This cardigan is exactly $9! And its super cute :)

u/b_writes · 3 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Thanks! I work in an office environment with three dogs so generally I'm a little afraid to wear silk but I love that top! Last time I wore the skirt I wore this top which I think looks loads better.

The cardigan is some off brand called Rolla Coaster that I found at TJ Maxx and love so much. Here it is on Amazon! Mine's white but they have beige/light pink. Poshmark has a few as well!

u/zylophone · 1 pointr/helpmedress

I think olive would pair pretty well with the shoes and dress, perhaps something with a more open weave like this?

For a bag you have some freedom to go with something embellished, but I think anything that's in a darker brown or gold, maybe with some texture to it.

Jewelry wise I think a chain bracelet might be cute or a longer earring like these. Have fun!

I work in an office that is freezing. I love adding cute cropped cardigans to my outfits. I wear a lot of dresses and they look great with the. But what really keeps me warm is this neat shawl cape thing that I now keep in the office. I love that it's open in the front so you can still show off a cute tee.

i'm 22 and just started transitioning from male to female. I have a pretty slim frame to begin with. i'm 5'9" tall and 130 lbs, 32 inch waist and 35 inch hips, usually wear a medium in mens shirts and a 30/30 for pants and jeans and it fits me fine. I graduated from college in spring 2018, and i've been applying to jobs since. currently just trying to develop an androgynous wardrobe that can sustain me for a bit. if it helps, I majored in IT and i'm looking for web developer or helpdesk roles right now, assuming that most places are going to be relatively lax on dress code but want to make sure.

I know as far as fashion goes I can't wear a skirt to my interviews or anything that would overdo it, I obviously have some bounds to work within. For interviews, I was considering just wearing a button down dress shirt with a sweater over it, and women's dress pants and womens loafers. I assume that would be suitable for an IT interview, the one I went to a few weeks ago I went in boy mode and had a suit, but I really didn't feel comfortable doing that, and it might have shown since I didn't get the job. I found these straight leg trousers on amazon and this button down knit cardigan for relatively cheap prices, and wanted some opinions. I have a men's white dress shirt I was intending on wearing under the sweater, but it wouldn't give me much dysphoria because it's just a dress shirt and fits me well. As far as shoes go, I have black suede chukka boots but they may not work with straight leg trousers, and I was looking for some sort of loafer that might work well with my outfit. thanks so much to anyone who read this much and is willing to help me out!

u/paiknef · 1 pointr/cosplayers

I would get blue tights for the legs instead of painting them, it will save time and money. As for the face, I'm a big fan of mehron paradise aq makeup for body paint. Here is a very basic cardigan on amazon. You would probably have good luck at thrift stores for that sweater as well.

u/interrobang__ · 3 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Thank you! The cardigan is from Amazon :) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DMGBXQX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_5CUOCbATR56GB

I love it because it's really sheer and feels more like a beach coverup which is perfect for the Florida heat.

u/poweredbyanxiety · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I really like layering lace cardigans with floral tops.

I think white would go great with this or green.
Here's one I found which has some cute detailing in the back.

Also this ones pretty and the simple design

u/sweadle · 4 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I also hate shorts.

My basics are some cotton circle or a-line skirts, like this one

And sundresses. Most of them have been thrifted, but all cotton or linen is a lot cooler than a poly or acrylic blend, so I always check the fabric before I buy. I definitely look a little more dressed up in the summer. Here's a couple I'd like to buy, her and here.

I prefer flats to sandals because I live in a big city and the streets are dirty.

White coloring won't really make as much of a difference as the fabric it's made out of. Silk, cotton, linen, loose cuts. If you live where the sun is really strong, not just that the temperature is high you might consider a really lightweight cover up like this which will keep you from burning a little better, and the strong sun off your skin.

And some unsolicited advice. If you get your hair wet with cold water before you leave the house and put it up in a bun it will keep you cool for a few hours.

u/GooseCharmer · 17 pointsr/FrugalFemaleFashion

I love this thread! I bought a bunch of maternity dresses on amazon when I was pregnant. Since I have prime, I would order 2 sizes and return the one (or both) that didn’t fit.

Recently I bought this shirt which is really soft and comfortable based off a rec from the blog Putting Me Together.

I got this kimono to layer over this dress when I was pregnant. Loved both.

u/MercyMay · 1 pointr/beyondthebump

I ended up blowing up like a balloon after the baby, and I had an emergency c-section, and I needed my mom to run out and get me some high-waisted underwear in a bigger size than normal.

I only have a few nursing tops. Mostly, I've spent the last 11 months just wearing normal tops that pull down. You can also do the two shirt method. My current favs are from a brand I found on Amazon (Made by Johnny). They have some nice, flowy tops with stretchy necklines, and I wear this cardigan all the time. It's nice and light, and it has big pockets.

I got a big stainless steel cup with straw from Starbucks before the baby was born with the intention of using it while nursing. I used it a ton at first, and I've ended up keeping it on my nightstand because I still get so thirsty in the night.

u/Jadis4742 · 2 pointsr/fringefashion

First, some personal recommendations. When I'm home, I only take off this Pattyboutik open cardigan to put on this Old Navy fleece cowlneck pullover. I live in these things. They are so comfy.

My obsession with Ash shoes continues to grow. Over the knee boots. Space ankle boots. Poker high heeled lace up ankle boots. Let me just link you to everything that will probably be faster.

These Kenneth Cole boots are pretty awesome.

I don't like gold and can't wear acrylic but this sweater is neat.

I'm not usually an animal print fan but the zebra stripes on this sweater are kind of cool.

I've been calling this the Robocop jacket and I love it but it's too short for me.

And here's a cool vegan leather jacket.

I'm gonna get this Mango jacket in white and work the whole mad scientist vibe.

This men's textured indigo cotton shirt is gorgeous. Look at it, dammit. It's probably crap but it photographs so well.

And all the men's graphic tees are testing my resolve. Embossed text. Row houses. Paris and London skylines.

u/lk3c · 3 pointsr/xxketo4u2

I love the open cardigans on Amazon with the company Made by Johnny. I have three of their shirts, two cardigans, and am getting three more cardigans.

The short sleeve: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B073R1MYKJ

The long sleeve: https://www.amazon.com/Made-Johnny-WSK1048-Womens-Cardigan/dp/B01BT39W96

The shirts I love! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DCT77D8

They are true to size, being flowy like I prefer.

u/doloce · 3 pointsr/FrugalFemaleFashion

I currently have the two below in my Amazon cart. Both are pretty well-reviewed (4 and 4.5 stars with 100+ reviews), so I'm excited to purchase them. BONUS (to me, anyway), they both come in multiple colors, so if I love them, I can just get more in different colors and then live in them.

Hey ladies posting a few OOTDs from my trip to France. The green sweater is from amazon. The Burberry trench is a vintage steal from poshmark. The boots are UGG boots which are super comfy and waterproof.

The Chanel is from Min via God factory.
The Palm spring bag is from OC.
