I browsed my Pinterest board and found some ideas/inspo that fit the 'girl next door' look (in my opinion). You can definitely look super hot without explicit lingerie (or poses you find intimidating).

Here are some of the images I sent to my photographer to use as inspiration for what she called the 'cozy sexy' part of my session. The "cozy" sweater + panties + socks photos are some of my favorites from the session (and pretty hot if I say so myself...). The two tops from above look nice, but seem to be made by cheap chinese companies and/or being resold from aliexpress.


Really just looking for a loose knitted sweater that hangs off one shoulder. I'd prefer it look like it's draping too. The pink knit in the first link is really close to what I want, the second link is pretty nice too and I'd be okay with something about that thickness as well. But I'd say link 1 is probably the best.

Shopping online can be a great option for those of us with lower budgets, but looking for higher quality items. Amazon has a lot of crappy stuff on it, but they also have nicer stuff if you know what you're looking for, and are willing to invest the time to read gazillions of reviews, and do your research.

Also, you can stalk designer items you'd like to snag online and wait for them to go on sale. Or in some cases, buy them lightly used, for example on ebay.

Lands End has quality stuff that is not terribly pricey, and you can get pretty good discounts with them by using special offers or by shopping sale and clearance items toward the end of a season. They still make sturdier tees and nice sweaters, read the reviews to find out which ones. But beware of nutty vanity sizing with them. Read their size charts, and then keep in mind that even if you go by the size charts, their clothing is not cut to be as close fitting as some of us younger women may be used to, so shop accordingly.

100% cotton sweaters, I think are fairly easy to care for, and are pill resistant.
Personally I have had bad experiences with a lot of acrylic sweaters I've owned because they look great in the shop and then go downhill so fast with washing and wearing. A lot of them just look nasty and all matted-and-furry or pilled-like-crazy so soon, that cheap as may have been, it was not worth the investment.

Silk sweaters can be really nice looking for a lighter sweater.
And can be bought at fairly reasonable prices sometimes, especially in blends with cotton like here

And if you can afford to invest in some lower-end cashmere, some of it is supposedly made to be pill-resistant. Just beware of scratchiness when trying on or reading reviews.

It's really comfortable, works well for autumn when it's just cold enough to have a little bite, and looks great with a black tank underneath for contrast. \^\^ I got it to break away from my usual muted and black choices, and lime green happens to be one of my favorite colors.

I've been dragging my feet on purchasing Uget Women's Casual Oversized Baggy Off-Shoulder Shirts Pullover Tops Asia XL Purple because.. I'm nervous of how it will fit. I always think I am bigger than I actually am. Plus, buying clothes off the Internet without trying them on first is frightening! I need it though, because I bought a pair of LuLaRoe leggings that are gray with red and purple arrows on therm. They are so cute and this would match perfectly!

I wear a large normally but bought an XL and it fits like a large. It's not specifically a nursing top but I wear a nursing tank or a lace nursing bralette under it and it's worked great so far!

I found these two French Connection sweaters at Marshalls last week for a great price. I paid $90 for the both of them, compared to $128 each retail. The green one is a lot bigger and boxier in real life, and longer on me. Since I'm short they're both tunic length-ish and are so great with legging jeans. Most of my sweaters are somewhat cropped, so it's nice to have some cozier options for when I just need to be a big bundle of sweater. The black one is actually flattering on my curvy, large-chested frame. The green one is less flattering and more "screw you I'm comfortable."

The fuzziest ones out there are Angora and Cashmere, and you're going to find them in the $500+ range (!). You must have a good eye for trends, because the runway designs are all the high hundreds or low thousands, and the off-the-rack designs taking advantage of the trend are all sold out.

You should look into brands like Columbia, who have lines like Mountain Hardwear or Prana that are geared for functionality first. I am also pretty partial to Patty Boutik's hoodies for when I want something really practical but don't want to just wear whatever. (May be really useful for you if you spend time in big dusty/coldwarehouses etc)

I have this top that looks comfy AF for fall! My favorite thing is all the different colors of the leaves and that it's perfect weather, not too hot and not too cold!

Hi! I'm looking for a gift for my girlfriend, who is 5' 1", fit, and wears a small. We are in high school and my price range is about $50. I am trying to avoid jewelry because she doesn't wear much.
