🎓 Reddit experts on tennis & racquet sport shoes for men
The comments and opinions expressed on this page are written exclusively by redditors. To provide you with the most relevant data, we sourced opinions from the most knowledgeable Reddit users based the total number of upvotes and downvotes received across comments on subreddits where tennis & racquet sport shoes for men are discussed. For your reference and for the sake of transparency, here are the specialists whose opinions mattered the most in our ranking.
What are you talking about? Argumentation based on some esoterical “anyone that works in the industry” is such BS. Give your opinion but don’t try to mask it behind these “absolute” statements about industry experts. LiNing is a very respected badminton shoe maker, and their shoes happen to work great for squash. And they make some great shoes . The pair on the link below has lasted me the longest of any shoe I’ve played squash with and they were USD 49 (I’ve mainly used ASICS Gel Blade 4s and Gel Domain 3s. I’ve stuck with the older models because I dislike the material quality of new models, but have paid a pretty penny for them; USD 100+). The LiNing pair has the best heel cushioning of any shoe I’ve used, have durable materials in typical abrasion areas for squash, have sturdy materials all around for great stability, and the materials on the inside (heel in particular) is still intact. I’ve had the same pair since October 2018 and I play 4 times a week.

Again, if you have specific first hand testimony about a faulty LiNing pair, fair enough. But your blanket statement is ridiculous.
Edit: changed great stability for gray stability
Good cross training shoes (training for strength, speed, skill) need ankle support and good grip decent flexibility and sturdy and not be too spongy or too archy cause it makes weight lifting especially legs difficult and or less productive. Also, being lightweight and breathable.
Boxing cross trainers are really good all around shoe if you are going to be doing a lot of different types of workouts in them i.e. the following 3
They r in order of top rated and most to least expensive.
Adidas Pro Bout Boxing Boot, US6 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0089B5RMI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_s2KxDbMRAYNFA
adidas Box Hog 2 Mens Boxing Trainer Shoe Boot Black/White - US 9.5 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EA18MWS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_sYKxDbAMSGPMX
adidas Men's Combat Speed.5, Silver Metallic/Black, 4 M US https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XWN9T2Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_QYKxDb2A164FE
If you are mostly going to stick to weightlifting and caliestenics work having a flat sole and lightweight shoe with moderate flexibility is a pretty mix to go for but i wouldnt recomend much in the way of cardio with the following, (probably not the best for long distance running for example) decent for jumprope or stair climbing though
Hightop Converse allstars or pf flyers
Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High Top Core Colors (6,0 D(M), Classic Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LWTMEBY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_j5KxDbRMZ5J8S
Or even Vans and some Asics
Like the half cabs
Vans Men's SK8-Hi(tm) Core Classics, Black/White, US:9 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000VSUC9A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_y6KxDbTH3JV4B
ASICS Men's Matflex 4-M, Granite/White/Black, 9.5 M US https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GY6MHRI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_d7KxDbHZX5K80
If you are going to do mostly a lot of hard impact running you should maybe go for tennis, basket ball, and cross country shoes due to the shock absorbent soles and slightly wider base of the shoes to distribute the shock a bit more evenly. The higher arches generally found in these types of shoes make some weight lifting less than desireable i.e. the squats and deadlifts for example due to forcing you to be in an awkward center of gravity like putting more of ur balance and weight onto the balls of your feet versus the heels which is good for running and sprinting and cycling and jumping (jumprope, tennis, basketball) but not for squats and weight lifting because you are supposed to load your weight on your heels for compound movements to have the appropriate load bearing distribution on your body and fully engage your core to prevent injury.

It all really depends on what you are doing.
If you are going to be rock climbing a lot get good rock climbing shoes. If you are going to hike a lot get good hiking boots. Most timerland boots are reliable and comfortable and designed for that. If you are going to train on grass a lot i would reccomend soccer cleats or turf shoes. Like the adidas mundiales or the nike predators.
I myself own a decent mix
For most all around training i use the adidas box hog 2.
For pure weightlifting or calisthenics i wear my converse.
For soccer and grass and turf training i wear my adidas mundials.
For hiking and bouldering i wear my timberland hiking boots.
For casual going out i wear doc martens usually.
For hospital work i wear some really cheap but super comfy sneakers with thick gel inserts cause you are standing around a lot and walking a lot. For 12 hours at a time. Before i worked in the hospital i was an emt and wore steel toe workboots geared toward firefighters and paramedics with gel inserts.
For everything else there's mastercard. Jk.
This really should be in MFA, but since you asked nicely:
Tigers are nice and light, but have little in the way of padding
Killshots when they exist are comfortable and stylish but retain a lot of inner moisture
Vans in neutral colors like navy or brown go with basically everything
LL Bean Jackmans are comfy, but you probably can't break them in in 2 weeks
Nike Frees are well-regarded as long as you don't get garish colors, but I don't own those so can't offer useful opinions
Seavees in navy would be hard not match with
I leave it to you to find the best price online, but hopefully this at least gave you some ideas.
Li Ning Saga or Saga TD:

https://smile.amazon.com/LI-NING-Lightweight-Anti-Slippery-Breathable-Professional/dp/B07CCJ9KKY?ref_=w_bl_sl_l_ap_sh_web_9490329011
Narrow, true to length, excellent heel cup, made for lunging. Very comfortable, good quality, soles hold up well on non-metallic strips (haven't used them extensively on metallic strips).
These are high-level badminton shoes. Good deal for under $100. Added bonus: amazingly garish colors available. I mean, wow.
Asics actually fit me better since I do not have especially narrow feet, but if you do these are an excellent option.
Those volleyball shoes were the exact shoes that I purchased as my first badminton shoe. They served their purpose and had decent lateral support but were pretty heavy for badminton. I played with one of my friends yonex power cushion shoes and there was a night and day difference. I ended up getting these(see link below) which are not as good as those yonex shoes but better than those volleyball shoes
https://www.amazon.com/LI-NING-Lightweight-Badminton-Training-Flexible/dp/B07H5GLZX7/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?dchild=1&keywords=badminton%2Bshoe&qid=1574732090&sr=8-15&th=1&psc=1
Next time I need shoes I’m going with those better yonex ones
Find some five ten guide tennies for $50. They are approach shoes (Semi-technical rock climbing). Or another approach shoe.
I got red size 13 for $50. They look brand new after 1.5 years. They are also a bit ugly until you wear them a bit and knock the brightness down a notch with some mud and grit.
They will take a few rounds to break in, but then they feel comfortable. Switch to gym shoes after the round. Approach shoes are stiff, so not the best for driving home. Great on Rocky fairways and protect your foot really well.

Oh dude, I don't want to start an obsessions, but I think I might send you down that path. I feel like they are all so hot, they are called the Air Tech Challenges, and I love the "hybird" models the most. I have three "non-beater" pairs of them (suede, chilling red and denim) but I had a bunch of beaters as well that I used when I played dubs.

My brother, these. I have worn Solomons every day, backpacked in them, tooled about, etc. Excellent support, fantastic insole, great overall shoe. If you're going to hot climates, maybe don't do the gore-tex, but otherwise, best shoes I've owned.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076JLKL61/
Most of the time, I wear normal dress shoes, or normal tennis shoes. If we get dry snow, and I'm just walking to my car, it will be fine. I might occasionally wear wear waterproof hiking shoes if its slushy outside. You really don't even need boots on a daily basis, for short errands, going to work etc.
Shoveling the driveway, hiking in the woods, going sledding, these are all activities that need a good pair of boots, but wearing them is not the norm, at least for me.
Businesses are pretty good about shoveling parking lots, don't think you need full blown boots every time you walk out the door.
Most of the time I just have normal shoes.
This is my "we got a bit of snow, but I'm just running to kroger" shoe.

In preparation for three months of traveling I was looking at clothes to bring with me that would be light, durable, and look decent. In my search I found Prana Brion Pants and Vivobarefoot Gobi II shoes. The question is what color combination would look the best considering I will only have one pair of each.
Pant: http://www.prana.com/brion-pant.html?color=darkkhaki The colors I would buy are Dark Ginger, Dark Khaki, Brown, Khaki, and Mud.
Shoes: http://www.amazon.com/Vivobarefoot-Mens-Desert-Brown-10-5-11/dp/B00INBXFDM/ref=sr_1_1?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1415724906&sr=1-1&keywords=vivobarefoot+gobi+2

I would buy any of the colors from the links listed above.
So which combination would look the best and/or be the most versatile?
I've got a tricky situation. I need to find a shoe that can be worn in a business casual environment but also capable of hiking (and I don't mean fashion hiking, like actual backcountry hiking). I was thinking something like the Five Ten tennie with a pair of khakis, but don't know if they would be appropriate. Thoughts?
Anyone have a favorite pair of tennis shoes to wear with jeans? Mine essentially look like this and I always feel pretty goofy wearing them with anything other than gym clothes.
Those shoes look very similar to the Asics Gel Resolution 5 shoes which are excellent tennis shoes.
Looks like the main difference is the squash shoes lack the rubberized/plastic upper, which means you'll wear through the toe and upper area pretty fast.
Wow I really like those. How do you think these are in comparison?
Some examples, basically I'd recommend to search for clay tennis shoes. If it's only hard court you can basically play with whatever you want or just get the cheapest tennis shoes that fit.

Trying to find things that matched but kept up the SW look was tough, but I nabbed these boots, and they're pretty damned amazing.

I got them online, on Amazon here. They do free returns if you accidentally order the wrong size, but for me they fit TTS.
