Get a good quality neck cushion. I have a memory foam one that connects at the front gently so you don’t do the head bobbing thing. Even An inflatable one that holds you steady will really help.

Second get that massage and take your icy hot patches through security in your carry on and put them on once you get through.

Third request wheelchair service at the airport. You may think you can walk fine but what people forget about is the standing in line and lifting/lugging bags. I’m early 30s and hate to use it but it’s a game changer for your comfort.

Fourth if you can find one or have time to order from amazon, consider an inflatable square that goes under your feet if you have lower back pain. It flattens to nothing and takes a few breaths to inflate. There are varying sizes and it’s been a huge benefit for me when flying. If you’re really tall or not worried about lower back pain, skip this one.

Here’s the neck pillow I love.
Here’s the blow up footstool I love.
Here’s an alternate footstool I tried and liked.
Here’s a full body cushion I tried but wasn’t right for me. Could help you though because we have different pain.

Ps I don’t get anything from this from amazon. These are actual products I bought and tried. Some I love. Some didn’t work for me.

Good luck!

u/dragonterrier2013 Β· 1 pointr/tall

I bought the inflatable SkyRest pillow about a decade ago and it changed my life. I'm sure there are other similar ones out there you could also try, but this was the first of its kind and a total game-changer for me. It's also a lot cheaper now than when I got it: Skyrest Travel Pillow (pack of 2) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007CDI17M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Zj2LDb32YWC4Q

Fun side story: I got to meet the guy pictured, who invented the thing! Didn't want to pay $12 for shipping when I lived 30 minutes from the company's address in California (according to SkyMall magazine) so I left a voicemail for customer service asking if I could pick my order up in person. Got a call back the same day from a guy who offered to meet up at a nearby post office later that week and said paying in cash was fine. I immediately recognized him from the ad in SkyMall. He was super tall and traveled to Asia a lot for business, saw the need for this and made it happen!

I've used the pillow countless times on red eye flights and long bus trips. It's not perfect, but it's the only way I can get a 2-hour nap in. I wouldn't want to try sleeping on it much longer than that or my neck/ back would be a mess. It folds up to be about the size of a large hardcover book, but lighter.

Tips:

  • save your breath and use the air vent to inflate it
  • bring a pillowcase or scarf so you're not drooling directly on it, or wear a hoodie
  • keep it clean while stowed in a gallon ziploc bag

    Good luck and safe travels!

Description|Hey everyone! In preparation for my red eye flight in September, I’ve compiled a list of 12 tips to get you asleep on your next overnight flight. The goal is to have a full night sleep on the plane so I can enjoy my first day in Scotland without feeling too weird, tired and cranky. Plus, hopefully it’ll set me up for a mostly jet-lag free trip! I hope you find these tips helpful, and if you have any tips on your own I’d love to hear them!••Things mentioned: ••Disposable toothbrushes-•https://www.amazon.com/Colgate-Wisp-Fresh-Portable-Mini-Brush/dp/B00LMITRLM/ref=pd_aw_sim_194_1/140-4379758-0458968?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00LMITRLM&pd_rd_r=23968d21-7200-4dbb-9eb7-1a5fd687443b&pd_rd_w=RxTQF&pd_rd_wg=ZKAoX&pf_rd_p=469620d9-3e90-496d-9dc8-b19f900ba5fe&pf_rd_r=J4HPYSK9R2FHBQBGG42Z&refRID=J4HPYSK9R2FHBQBGG42Z••Melatonin-•https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000GG6D9A/ref=sspa_mw_detail_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1••Travel pillow-•https://www.amazon.com/Everlasting-Comfort-Memory-Airplane-Earplugs/dp/B06WWFYCSG••Travel blanket-•https://www.amazon.com/Cabeau-Fold-Travel-Blanket-Case/dp/B00LWAC1UE?th=1&psc=1••Lavender filled sleeping mask-•https://www.etsy.com/listing/717378131/unavailable-from-813-823-sweet-dreams?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=lavender+sleeping+mask&ref=sc_gallery-1-1&plkey=c0a0bf5c81ffe58b82897ecbc371e9fcc3cabd7e%3A717378131&frs=1••Compression socks-•https://www.amazon.com/Compression-Running-Athletic-Pregnancy-15-20mmHg/dp/B074MW1MTW/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?keywords=compression+socks&qid=1565214332&s=gateway&sr=8-6••Anti-pressure ear plug-•https://www.amazon.com/Original-EarPlanes-Healthcare-Airplane-Protection/dp/B0000C1KT4••No jet-lag supplement-•https://www.amazon.com/Miers-Labs-Homeopathic-Remedy-Count/dp/B00007KUX7/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=no+jet+lag&qid=1565214569&s=gateway&sr=8-3

Depends on the airline, but we ended up being able to buy and use one of these on our planes (window seat only) https://www.amazon.com/Airplane-Portable-Accessories-Inflatable-Airplanes/dp/B07F1TB7Y4

it's like an inflatable foot rest, but the one we got was 3 compartments and when all inflated matched up pretty well with the seat. Our daughter, 2yrs 10 months at the time conked right out, we brought a blanket and also an inflatable pillow (jackets work just fine too) and she curled up and slept for at least 6 hours on the flight. As for my wife and I.... different story.

I also had loads of netflix shows for her, and play things.

But, she also adores flying/traveling. You can see how proud she gets on planes and trains, so she travels well.

u/ChubbsMcLubbs Β· 3 pointsr/jawsurgery

I just had bsso only yesterday moving my underbite back.

Still in the hospital but recovery is going much smoother than I thought. Not alot of pain, mostly sore throat from the breathing tube. Small dose of oxycodone was prescribed and that took care of the only pain I had in the back of my jaw.

Was able to drink and eat sherbert a few hours after surgery which tasted amazing.

Breakfast was cream of wheat (I could kind of gum it, not chew) coffee, oj, and milk.

The swelling is real. Get an airplane pillow, the one I have is a LIFESAVER, not necessarily for the pillow aspect, but it's really helping me prop the ice packs on my jaw which is really helping.

Long cord phone charger is nice.

Can't talk about weight loss yet. I was surprisingly not too hungry last night or this morning, considering I haven't had solid food for 38 hours now. That's a good thing though

Any other questions, fire away.

u/Fmradiochick Β· 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I'm going to go visit Mechagent. Because I love him and there's absolutely nothing I want more than to be able to be with him.

We would stay at his flat in London so I could use the left over $1500 to fly him back with me and the remaining $500ish on fun times (touristy stuff for me :) sorry I haven't been to London in so long!) and pubs for him so I can giggle at how much of a lightweight he is. We could also take the bullet train to Paris and be all romantic on the Eifel Tower :)

[I would bring this Hello Kitty neck pillow] (http://www.amazon.com/Sanrio-Hello-Kitty-Pillow-Cushion-/dp/B00FEODU1I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397494012&sr=8-1&keywords=hello+kitty+neck+pillow) because it's a long ass flight. Funny story I actually had it on my WL till we decided he would come to visit me instead.

I wouldn't take anyone with me. I just want to spend time with my man. :)

u/redfriday27 Β· 2 pointsr/transit

It might look strange but this infinity neck pillow works for me on airplanes without neck rests. I’ve tried a bunch of neck pillows and this seems to work the best. Also washable, which is nice when you’re riding transit. Hope that helps!

I think your site is great. The suggestion to add keywords may make it too much like all the other shopping search engines and take away from the randomness factor that makes your site unique. Obviously, you need more products because I went through "about $20" in 2 minutes.

On that note, I'd be ecstatic if you'd put my product, the Arm Pillo, on your site. Good luck.

u/yaypie Β· 8 pointsr/teslamotors

Congrats! The Model 3 is a fantastic road trip car.

One little thing I'd recommend to increase your comfort: if you plan to hang out in the car at all while supercharging, bring a small pillow. The Model 3's seats are generally super comfortable, but when trying to relax in a reclined seat the hard, forward-tilted head restraint is a real neck killer.

This small camping pillow fixes the problem nicely and makes it easy to relax while supercharging somewhere without much else to do.

u/bendybackpacker Β· 2 pointsr/ehlersdanlos

If you’re looking for more stability then something like this might be good. Otherwise, a travel pillow with more structure might be better. I hope you find what you’re looking for!

Edit: I found this one that could be used for neck and back support

Agree with some of the other answers. What I can think of is the following:

  • Battery Pack - I personally use the Anker Gen 2 ones
  • Travel Pillow - I HATE the inflatable ones but use one of these trakmates
  • Book is a good idea - I take Yes Man by Danny Wallace with me every time I go travelling and then pass it on when I've finished. Extremely funny and very uplifting/motivating
u/molotovmimi Β· 6 pointsr/PlusSize

I wanted to add a few points to your great tips:

A) Amazon will have the extenders too and usually faster shipping than ebay.

B) Bulkheads on some carriers can be a bit tighter depending on whether they stick the entertainment console and tray on the side (no seatback in front). It' snot a lot but even fractions of inches can suck when flying a long time. Definitely check seatguru as others have suggested.

C) I'm 18/20 and I check seat comfort/width in my office chair. I take a tape measure, sit against the wall measure the space I have and use a deconstructred Amazon box to make that other barrier and get a feel for what the actual space will feel like. Sounds complicated, but I like to know before I fly what I'll feel like and whether I can stomach the cramped quarters. Like Emirates which was my last international carrier had 18 inch wide seats so I knew going in it'd be tight but not insurfferable unlike say American Airlines with its 16.2 inch wides seats that almost made me want to attack the air marshal so they could at least handcuff me and put me away in the crew sleeping cabin. Never again, American, never again.

D) I cannot recommend a FaceCradle enough. I slept for eight hours of my 14 hour flight. I'm talking deep sleep drooled on myself slept, not tossed like a salad sleep.

Cabeau Evolution Classic Memory Foam Travel Neck Pillow - The Best Travel Pillow with 360 Head, Neck and Chin Support, Graphite https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07G5LMMR5/ref=cm_sw_r_fm_apa_-qq.Bb9MRXN09

I had good luck with this one. I have actually used it to sleep with on nights my neck is bothering me

u/atllauren Β· 2 pointsr/CFBOffTopic

Almost every flight I get on, I bring a neck pillow. I have never once used said neck pillow, but I've carted it around the US with me.

I will need to sleep on my red eye to London, so realistically I will need said neck pillow. However, for some reason I am finding myself browsing Amazon for a new neck pillow even though I have one that's perfectly fine.

My brain: but this one rolls up.

u/NorDub Β· 1 pointr/Ultralight

I tried two different inflatable pillows and could never get comfortable. In fact, last summer I had a new inflatable pillow and was excited to test it out. I couldn't fall asleep it was so uncomfortable, I just slept without a pillow the rest of the night.

I may get ridiculed here, but I have a ~7 oz pillow that I've had this summer and I haven't looked back. So comfortable, and I can take the weight penalty. I'm not ultralight by any means, but I've dropped my base weight from ~25 pounds to under 15 pounds in the past couple of years, due to this sub.

My pillow: https://www.amazon.com/Therm-Rest-Compressible-Backpacking-Airplanes/dp/B01KXU5DZI?th=1&psc=1

Non-inflatable pillow I'd like to try to save a little weight: https://ripstopbytheroll.com/products/apex-pillow-kit

I also heard from /u/scayyys that someone on BPL was making foam pillows and the dimensions were 11x17 and were less than 4 ounces.

u/katymarx Β· 1 pointr/PurplePillDebate
  1. Order cocktail
  2. Take a sleeping pill or muscle relaxer
  3. Have wine w dinner
  4. Conk out for most of the trip with just enough time to watch a movie and catch brekkie

They have pretty good movies on overseas flights usually and on-demand. I'll watch one of those so I don't have my tablet in my lap taking up room.

Also, this travel pillow. I can't sleep sitting upright using one of the ubiquitous neck ones.

One of these awesome pillows and a Zquil and I can fall asleep back with the masses.

u/KittenAnne Β· 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

First I must congratulate you on being a hoopy frood!

Second Neck Pillow, this will help you to rest on the plane and help you not get neck cramps. Also don't forget a pack of gum for the flight - I don't normally chew gum - but it so helps my ears pop during take off and landing!

u/swollencornholio Β· 2 pointsr/travel

Cabeau Evolution has worked really well for me. The neck height and memory foam is key. It locks your head in.

Everlasting makes what looks to be a cheaper version though I have not tried it personally.

u/AnchovyPudding Β· 2 pointsr/DesignPorn

It used to be available on Amazon. I have one.

u/OrigamiTapestry Β· 23 pointsr/lifehacks

I'm a side sleeper and standard travel pillows never worked for me. That all changed when I was gifted one of these. Closest thing to sleeping on your side while sitting down, I do not fly without it.

u/nbaaftwden Β· 1 pointr/BabyBumps

I have this travel pillow and last time we flew I used it behind my lower back. When we got to our destination I used it between my knees. Very adaptable!
