Gah sorry, sometimes on mobile when you're deep into replies it's hard to line up with the right reply arrow haha. Looks like the message made it though!

So I was told to take 1 tablespoon of each oil or butter per day. Some people do smoothies or make sauces or salad dressings, but honestly I just shot them straight before I went to work. You should be able to take them in supplement form but I'm not sure how much, some is probably better than nothing, especially if there's a lack of healthy or these types of fats in your diet. Pumpkin seed butter is flipping expensive in stores and I only found it in health stores and co-ops. The amount you can purchase is also not good for the price so I ordered mine on online.

This is the one I ordered that was at the time the best price for quantity...

Cycle improved as well as skin for me, I had less cystic acne on my jawline and less acne in general before my cycle. Honestly hormonal acne issues didn't ever fully go away. The most improvement I've seen for hormonal acne was a combination of balancing hormones in this way and using niacinamide, making sure to actually do my skin care every night (periods exhaust me) and taking short stints of vitamin A emulsion, which a previous doctor advised me to do for skin issues. I buy this one, which lasts about a month, so I'm thinking my doctor told me to take a much higher dose than the bottle advises. (I need to look that up)

You can't take vitamin A long term, but you can cycle on and off of it. It internally increases cellular turnover in skin. I use it as a secret weapon for any fancy events or big celebrations when I want my skin glowing and completely clear, only, and for about 2-4 weeks beforehand. I just started adapolene for preventative anti-aging and I'm interested to see how it compares to internally taking vitamin A.

I would highly recommend getting off the antibiotics ASAP - they're no good and possibly debilitating to your future health. They may even aggravate your acne (especially after you stop taking them) because they negatively affect the microbiota of your body. What i would recommend is taking a good probiotic (I personally use VSL#3).

Unfortunate VSL#3 isn't going to clear your skin, definitely not in a timely fashion. What is going to clear your skin however is retinoids (Accutane being one the most potent retinoids). Because of Accutanes price (if insurance doesn't cover it), and side effects (dry lips being your concern). I would highly recommend taking the all natural preformed Vitamin A. Up to 100,000 iu a day is as high as i will tell you take, any more and you should consult with your doctor (Might as well get Accutane at that point). Your lips may still get a little dry and chapped at first but its easy to manage with some fatty moisturizer (I use shea butter).

I've been taking 100,000IU of Vitamin A that (4 capsules) for 3 months and my skin is 100% clear and my scars and marks aare rapidly fading.

DO NOT TAKE VITAMIN A IF YOU HAVE A PREEXISTING LIVER CONDITION. I AM NOT A DOCTOR CONSULT WITH ONE IF YOU PLAN ON FOLLOWING MY THERAPY FOR MORE THAN 6 MONTHS.

Thanks everybody for your help! I've decided to stop the acne.org regimen and maybe use the following:

[Vitamin D-3]

Also, does anybody have any moisturizers that they would like to recommend? I'm going to need them after all the BP side effects.

Landon needs to get a serious skincare routine going, she's looking rough. I want to reach through the screen and slather her face with my super cheap and surprisingly effective retinol cream.

I'll probably get downvoted but large doses of Vitamin A dramatically helped my cystic acne. I don't have cystic anymore but I still take a good dose of Vit A because I notice more under the skin inflammation when I don't. I use these and take between 1-4 daily: AMAZON VIT A

Every time I get get sunburned, I use [retinol cream.] (https://smile.amazon.com/Puritans-Pride-Retinol-Cream-Vitamin/dp/B004R66LK6/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1495911119&sr=1-1&keywords=vitamin+a+cream) It always clears up my sunburn super quick without peeling. Not sure if it's actually the cream or just coincidence though

I took accutane for about a year to clean up my Back acne, it worked wonders.

I didnt get off it like I should have and a few months later my face broke out like crazy.

I started taking
-A probiotic complex: kills the crap in today's food in your stomach that creates acne. I buy super asodopholis complex from trader joes.

-Vitamin A: be careful on dosage it can harm your liver. go easy on alcohol while taking it. Accutane is vitamin A on steroids.

-Drink copious amounts of water.

My face cleared up from that. I still get acne, Its hell of alot better though.

I may go back on Accutane.

I also noticed I was breaking out while drinking high amounts of coffee, after some research online some people notice a connection.

I use this stuff I get from the grocery store. There's no sunlight for us Portlanders so supplemental vitamin D is always a good thing.

I take these (bypass 18 months ago):

  1. One a Day's Womens - I'm a woman so if you're a guy you should probably get the men's version
  2. Bariatric Advantage Dry Vitamin D
  3. Nature's Way B-50 Complex
  4. Natrol Maximum Strength Biotin
  5. Kirkland's Calcium Citrate

Then, I'm not currently on either of these, but for a while I was taking:

  6. NOW Vitamins B-1 Thiamine
  7. Country Life Dry Vitamin A

When taking all of these vitamins daily as recommended my numbers have all come back fine. Personally, I HATE the B- Complex because it smells funny, and I've tried a few brands and discovered that its just the way the B-50 complex smells and I just deal. Have one of those lame pill/vitamin containers that you can fill for a whole month, and I keep the B-50 in a separate container because otherwise ALL of the vitamins smell and its a more horrible process.
