You want a roast? Here ya go:
#1. The pink tube lights look like something that came out of a strip club in a New Orleans trailer park.
#2. I don't know why you decided to use a camp toilet to base your PC.
#3. Seriously the pink lights are the reason the Chinese are going to conquer America in the next 15 years. Your generation is stupid.
#quatro. Your carpet is not properly installed. https://www.amazon.com/QEP-10408-Economy-Knee-Kicker/dp/B00NO9X7KO/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_469_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=X1K1Z9XGNDGTS4TDCJFK
#5. Are there more pink lights inside the case or is that just a reflection? Seriously people clap when they see those lights. The sound is them clapping their hands over their eyes.
#6. Why the hell did you post a picture that is supposed to be showing off your stuff with an empty mountain bottle chillin behind the 2nd monitor? Your battlestation is supposed to be important, act like a grown up and clean it.
#7. Seriously, fuck those lights.
#8. Is that a sack of stuffed animal corpses in the corner? I'm not one to kink shame, but you might need help.
#9. Spider man is laying on his back like that because the pink lights drove him to suicide.
#10. If you made it this far you're a good sport. This is the only serious suggestion. Look into some cable management solutions.

See r/cableporn for inspiration. I personally like to drill into the wall and run cables through, but that isn't for everyone. Either screw the surge protector into the underside of the desk, or use double sided tape to hold it there. A tactic I have used well in the past is to bundle wires together and wrap them in electric tape. I coil them loosely together about a foot long, then tightly wind the tape around them. It will look roughly like a golf club grip if you're doing it right. Then stick some velcro tape to a flat spot and the other side of the velcro to your desk. It's not fantastic, but you won't be able to see it from a standing position.
Another more expensive option would be to go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get some of their cable traces. They fit together like legos, and should be fairly self explanatory.
Don't beat yourself up. Everything takes time. You'll get there.
(just don't bring the pink lights with you, go with some warm bulbs if you have to)

Those have a remote so you can impress members of the opposite sex by dimming them from the bed.
I learned by doing it. It may be intimidating at first but once you get the hang of it, it's easy. A good tool to get for cleaning carbs is a mig welder tip cleaner

It works amazing for cleaning jets and other small orifices.
helping hands wont work .. needs a very solid grip on the nut
I don't use the stewmac vice but I do use a vice mounted to my work bench with a couple of strips of wood not to damage the nut.
Nut files: If you are going to do this a lot or for a long time it is worth it to invest in good files (stewmac or luthiers mercantile). If you want to go on the cheap at first most hobby shops have exacto saw blades the right gauge for the high e/b and you can use a set of blowtorch tip cleaners. http://www.amazon.com/US-Forge-Welding-Cleaner-00802/dp/B000UVR0NO/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1375875973&sr=1-1&keywords=US+Forge+Welding+Tip+Cleaner+%2300802
This guy seems to have it down but I didn't watch it all (15min and I already know how to make a nut ) but he seemed to have all the main points down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKO4hat7oJE
A good cheap substitute for nut files.. Torch Tip Cleaner Set
I am a welder and I used them at work but found them really good for working on the nut on my Epi.
If you end up having to make a nut, I have a great cost saving tip. When making one, you require nut files, they are crazy expansive. You can buy a set of orifice cleaning files/tip cleaners and they will do the same thing for a lot less money. they come in all the sizes you need for nut slots.

I have built many guitars and do luthier work regularly and have not seen a need to buy actual nut files yet.
With something like this.
Not exactly a “household” item, but readily obtainable at any hardware store. Buy a “torch-tip cleaner”.
This is a set of nested, round-section little files meant for cleaning out welding/cutting torches.
The gauges of the the little files almost exactly match most standard string sizes.... I use one for all my nut-filing chores. Much cheaper than a set of expensive nut files:

Torch cleaner and a spark-plug gap gauge.
Check out one of these.
