High end professional superglue. Known as cyanoacrylate glue chemically. It comes in super thin (almost water-like) consistency, up to a thicker gel. There are different "working times" available, from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. That's how long it takes to bond and mostly cure.

You can get applicators to attach to the bottle to pinpoint where you want it. A bottle of the good stuff (high viscosity, 60 second working time) should run $10 or so, but this would be enough to attach a canoe to your garage, if used correctly. This is the type I would use. Water thin for maximum penetration. The applicator tips are a few of bucks for a multi-pack. You will find a million uses for the stuff once you get it in this form.

The biggest things, if you were to try to do it this way:

  • You get one shot
  • Wear gloves!!!
  • This can give off some minor irritating fumes. Use outside, or just work near a fan.
  • Use as little as possible on the side (just enough to reconnect the wood fibers)
  • Use more on the very edges, as that is an area more likely to get knocked around again.
  • Go slow. Don't work on more than 1" at a time.
  • Masking tape can hold things in place and over corners while you work on another spot.

Note: This following step may get some luthiers up in arms. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR AN INSTRUMENT OF HIGH VALUE. This is a bit of a shortcut. But in this case, for the split kerfs and the rest that area inside the guitar, I suggest polyurethane glue. One of the bigger brand names is Gorilla Glue. Use tiny amounts, trying to pinpoint it as well as possible. One of the properties of this glue is that it does expand a bit while curing, which is great for filling small gaps. But if too much will push the other repair apart, so don't go crazy. Apply drops from a toothpick if you can.

And short of me doing it for you, that would be my best advice.

By the way, have you plugged it in and checked the electronics yet? Just curious.

Sure, most of the big box home stores like Lowes or Home Depot sell them I believe they just call them table leg blanks or something similar. They are usually with the hard woods in the slots underneath the dimensional lumber. I use a lot of the 1.5x1.5x36 inch oak blanks for my practice projects and tool handles. But you can cut and glue up bowl blanks with them. Super glue finish is a good finish for pens but there is a learning curve. My only tips for it are use thin ca glue like this . Use blue shop towels to apply it (put a little on the towel and swipe while lathe is running slow) and you can get accelerator but it’s not needed. I use 2-3 coats then finish with friction finish its the best method I’ve come across. I don’t mind handing out tips if you need any more just ask. Have fun

Hair stylist here!

I highly suggest you get yourself a wig online. I found one in 10 seconds that would be cheaper, easier and more realistic than Option 1, 2 & 3. Check it out!

Option 1 will be VERY EXPENSIVE, very time consuming and very damaging to your hair. AND you'll have to dye your hair back to brown? A wig is a much better choice.

Option 2 will just NOT WORK. I have level 8 blonde hair, and pastel Colorista purple barely tinted it. To get the most of a pastel hue, you must have a very, light blonde.

Option 3 is not realistic. See Option 2. I'm sorry, sweetie. :(

There are lots of cute wigs that will give you the same look for a FRACTION of the price, without having to sacrifice time, money or health of your hair. Good luck and Feliz Carnavale!

I honestly don't like duco cement. I don't like putting extremely hazardous materials anywhere near my mouth. I prefer [this] (https://www.amazon.com/Bob-Smith-Insta-Cure-Super-Thin/dp/B001NI4JWI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1468043557&sr=8-3&keywords=Bob+smith+glue). It dries in seconds, and forms a really good bond with not just the thread, but the wood as well, making it a fantastic sealant. If you are going to use nail polish, I'd suggest melting a bit of beeswax on the inside of the tube to protect against leaking, as that has been a major problem for me every time I just use nail polish.

On amazon

Enjoy! The tail is just a bonus :)

If you are worried about it, you can buy medical grade cyanoacrylate (for veterinarians) on Amazon, but I just use regular ol' super glue and an accelerator (although accelerator's not really necessary unless you're using thicker CA like a gel).

So, I got this eyelash glue tip from a drag queen friend of mine and never looked back -- use weave glue (like https://www.amazon.com/Salon-Second-Bonding-Glue-Ounce/dp/B0037CHCQS) instead of eyelash glue.

Eyelash glue generally comes in two types: Weak-ass elmer's glue type stuff that doesn't really work, or the clear crispy super glue type stuff that works amazingly but tears the eyelashes apart when you remove them (and also hurts your eyelids after a while).

The weave glue is kind of rubbery, and black (so it blends in with your eye makeup!), dries quickly, but is adjustable/malleable for a period of time so you can apply the eyelash, move it around a bit, and let it fully dry. It's really comfortable too. When you take them off, it will just peel off your eyelid without tearing the false eyelash. Only downside is that (especially if you use too much) it tends to gunk up, so then you have to sit there picking little bits of rubber off of your eyelashes.

Oh, it's also really cheap and you can find it in basically any African American hair supply store. So there is that. Just use a reaaaally thin line on the eyelash.

Edit: Also, there are way cheaper natural looking eyelashes out there, especially when you have the entire Internet available. And you can trim other pairs to look more natural. You should look into options!

https://www.amazon.com/Acecharming-Blonde-Curly-Womens-Cosplay/dp/B00UMTOY4M/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?keywords=long+wigs+blonde&qid=1554992888&s=gateway&sr=8-8 how about this? if you want blonde that is, you could always dye it so it has dark roots and is yellow other places ect or just use dye to dye the current one, a bit of dark roots makes it look. lot more real! personally i like your current floofy hair but that's just me. also my friend says you pass.

Using double sided toupee tape has been a lifesaver for me with this. It holds better than the stuff marketed for women. One side stuck to my shirt, the other side stuck to my chest, and voila! I’ve now turned a cleavage-baring top into a work-appropriate shirt!

u/Malari_Zahn · 2 pointsr/weddingplanning

I would actually suggest trying out toupee tape. I use it to hold my heavily rhinestoned pasties on (burlesque dancer) and it works fabulously!

[Here's the one I use] (https://www.amazon.com/Vapon-Topstick-Strips-Hypo-Allergenic-Purpose/dp/B014MPEDCY/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1469651626&sr=8-2&keywords=Toupee+tape). I just make sure my skin is dry and lotion free before using.

u/doityourselfer · 2 pointsr/woodworking

You can buy thinned out super glue. Luthiers and turners use it.

I'm going to second the stipple sponge and cream makeup. That way is the easiest imo.

https://www.amazon.com/Mehron-Makeup-Stipple-Sponges-3-Pack/dp/B008ND0E02/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=stipple+sponge&qid=1566857025&s=gateway&sr=8-3

I have also done the mascara wand beard, I used the mascara with fibers and that seemed to do okay.

My favorite way but also the most time consuming and uncomfortable is the spirit gum and crepe wool. The key here is to cut the crepe wool really really fine. I usually outline where I want it with eyeliner and then fill in little by little.
Be careful if you have sensitive skin and use either an actual remover or baby oil when it comes time to take it off.

This is the glue I have always used for building rc planes:

http://www.amazon.com/Bob-Smith-Insta-Cure-Super-Thin/dp/B001NI4JWI/ref=pd_bxgy_hi_img_y

Its called bob smith brand. I believe that the lightmode kit actually uses this exact same glue but they put a label over it. There are 2 types I use, thin and gap filing (which is thicker). I am not sure which I am going to use for the helmet yet, I think gap filling would probably be needed but it looks like they might be using thin in the kit.

Also there is a spray on accelerator I use which instantly cures the CA glue. It gets pretty hot though when you spray it on so my only concern with using the accelerator is that it could damage the helmet finish from the heat depending on the finish.

I have trich and have worn full lace wigs for years. I can’t imagine wearing a full cap wig. I swim and workout in it, usually lasts for about 4 weeks.

You will need a few items from amazon.

  1. Scalp protector Walker Scalp Protector 1.4 oz Dab-on https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01773HGN6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2kOQCb7NFCQ6E

  2. Super Tape SuperTape LOW PROFILE Shape LACE FRONT = 1 pack of 36 strips https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073N3NV97/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2iOQCbFV4JQ0B

  3. Lace glue Ultrahold 3.4 oz Acrylic Glue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0141MTLL6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3hOQCb60SH4V7

You will need to put the take on the lace all around, followed by a thin layer of
    Glue.

Put some scalp protector on your scalp once that dries, attach the wig, that’s it. If you have questions and want more details, message me.

I was also 9 when I was diagnosed, crazy to think that it was nearly 20 years ago. I would have killed for the Diabetes technology we have now back then. Imagine what your son will have when he is 29! I have been using the MiaoMiao since August 9th, it is a game changer. I charged the battery when I first got it and it is still at 60% after constant use. The Spike app for iOS (xdrip for Android) that you use with it is very configurable. You can set alarms that override the silent switch, push readings to your watch, and see all sorts of information within the app. The MiaoMiao sits next to the Libre so it is not too bulky. It is waterproof and comes with 60 adhesive stickers to stick it to your arm (I use wig adhesive now, it holds better https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HKCUWG2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_TVPIBb7BTN16M) I usually also cover mine with a few Tagaderm patches to keep it all in place. I highly recommend this device. The last thing I will say is to checkout Nerdabetic on YouTube. He has a video comparing the two devices (spoiler alert: he prefers MiaoMiao and uses it every day). https://youtu.be/a8gNOJGsFiM

Edit: I should also add that it allows you to use a sensor for around 14 and a half days in the US.

u/ambervard · 1 pointr/weddingplanning

Just want to verify, is this the kind you guys used? Does it leave any residue or damage when removed from skin and from fabric?
