Okay you guys helped me with my seats now i need some help making sure i got everything. im a next to a total noob hardest thing ive done is the quest alternator swap and rejetting my motorcycle carb. i've ordered some parts already and done a couple days worth of pouring over the forum guides and everything but just want to grab some advice. please and thank you, heres my tail for the troubles. ps sorry for format and everything. edit: going for a light build 7psi or so, engine is healthy rebuilt 15k or so miles ago. already have a air filter cone installed didnt know if i needed a different one.

I don't have a picture right now but it's located under the car on the passenger side where the turbocharger is. I'm thinking the easiest way to access the solenoid is the jack up the passenger side of the car, remove the wheel and splash guard and have at it that way.

That'll save you enough for this quality blow off valve
Yes they can be replaced. But they're inside the turbo, you pretty much have to rebuild it. Rebuild kits are like $45. The problem is you still have to get the turbo off the car which takes a lot of time. Also, there's some debate on whether you should get the turbo balanced after rebuilding. Some says it's required while others have gotten away without it. I would personally not risk it, turbo's can spin up to 200,000 RPM. You don't want the blades to shatter from too much vibration. Broken blades can end up in the motor.

996 transaxle - Under $3,000
So, $7,300 should get you roughly 1000 HP worth of drivetrain. (Still needs clutch, driveshaft, and some other bits).
You can order it from a couple people. The guy in Canada is cheaper. Just Google search for variable flow actuator and you'll see this part individually.
