Congratulations on staying sober!! <3

Pretty sure your criteria describes like 4/5ths of my wishlist. But I'm gonna go with this bowtie for my dog Panzer. Picturing him in it makes me so happy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HDATZ! And thank you for the contest!! :D

Had a great weekend in San Bernardino National Forest (about 1 hour from Orange County, 2 hours from San Diego). Barley only carries about 5lbs worth of gear such as her jacket and boots, my microspikes for the snow, first aid kit, Sawyer Mini Filter, plastic trowel for bathroom breaks and occasionally a layer of mine goes in her paracord webbing. It's a pretty easy hike, permits are easy to get and water is plentiful. Ask me anything

List of dog specific gear:

Ruffwear Approach Pack

Rad Dog Release 'n Run Collar and 4' Leash

Nite Ize Collar Light

Whistle Activity Tracker

Ruffwear Cloud Chaser Jacket

Ruffwear Grip Trex Boots

It's not really free if you have to pay $5.99 for shipping. I could get basically the same thing on Amazon and not have to worry about giving my credit card details to a website I've never used

The main collar is; https://www.amazon.com/Weaver-Leather-Sundance-Dog-Collar/dp/B01D8QD0O0

She wears that at all times but she slips out of it when on leash so she has the martingale collar for walks ☺

Embark has been really amazing. Frequent updates with explanations on every step of the DNA testing, and it turned out ours had been marked wrong so they originally only gave us the medical results. Less then 12 hours after contacting them they had the results updated.

I'm definitely going to recommend them to anyone looking for a DNA test.

I use the BiteNot Collar with my dog because he can reach almost anything with his super long tongue and really long legs. It works great! This is creative too though!

Actually it’s a tag that you can insert in the harness. I’m in Canada, I got it in a local pet store in Montreal, and I know Ren’s carry those in Ontario, but outside of that, I really don’t know. I’ll check the brand when I get home.

They are really nice, there are plenty of different tags like “training”, “energetic”, “anxious”, and “aggressive”, so people can see the dog’s character and interact accordingly. And since it’s something you add to the harnest, the dog never outgrows it.

EDIT: Amazon Link 😁

Both my dogs wear these rope safety collars at all times unless they're crated (or when we go out and they're wearing their normal flat collars with ID tags). I like the added assurance that they won't get hurt if they're playing in the yard and one gets a jaw stuck in the others collar, for example. But I originally bought them for my suspected-husky-mix, to keep her fur from matting under a collar, and they've been great for that.

Haha this one is pretty cool, it's made so you kind of thread their collar through and then it's just attached to her collar. Kind of like this: https://www.amazon.com/Vaburs-Bandana-Adjustable-Printing-Xs-Black/dp/B07SQPJQKD/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=Vaburs&qid=1568899028&sr=8-4

What about finding a collar lined with satin?

https://axovus.com/Black-Satin-Lined-Sub-Collar.html

http://www.bdsmkinkytoys.com/product/CNVAX-b-sc-15

Or maybe even a fur lined collar

However, if you're looking for something cute, why not look here? Sure, they're dog collars, but they're very likely to fit you just fine :)

The best leash I've used so far is the Timber Wolf pet products Alpine Lead. This is by far the most comfortable & durable leash I've ever used, I have 3 of them and they are extremely high quality. They come in all sorts of sizes and colors. Just call the number on their website to order one. For your dog I'd recommend the 5/16" size.

As for your dog slipping out of her collar, you're going to need a Martingale collar. These tighten when the dog pulls, making it impossible to back out of their collar. If you have a dog with a head size that is similar to their neck, these are an absolute must. Ever since I started using these my GSD hasn't slipped out once.

u/allons_yy · 3 pointsr/entwives

not exactly the same, but this one comes in large

I like the colors a little bit better, personally. Just ordered a collar and leash for my pup. Thanks for the inspiration.. Her current getup is way too ratty.

Something like this would be ideal:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HRQAYKQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_PFiEwbEGMQVWH

But when I set it up like this the colour logos are the group photo as mentioned. I don't think my listing would look as attractive if I didn't have the 5 colour section and group photo visible.

The two products are different, not variations of each other. I don't think having it as a variation would be suitable, although they could often be bought together as the example listing and a leash.

I got it here: http://www.friendlydogcollars.com/product-category/Collars/

Stan is 150+lbs, so some people are terrified of him. To make matters worse, the only collar I could find locally that fit him was one of those black leather collars with spikes. I can understand why some found him intimidating. Now that he has his "friendly" collar a lot more people stop to pet him and he meets a lot more dogs in the park. Really at this point, so many people in my neighborhood know him that he could probably go without the collar. I also considered a collar patch but wanted to ditch the spiked collar altogether.

I recommend the collars, Champ will thank you :)

If the E02 works pretty well for you now I'd say you just need to bump it up to an AA sized light like an L3 Illumination L11C or some other similar deal. Or you could stay with the AAA size and try like a lumintop tool or something to avoid a long press UI. On a side note I was just thinking how cool it would be to have led dog collars and see that those exist.

My gcc loves these little attachable bells sorta like this but I think the ones I got were smaller. I picked them up from petsmart in one of their cat aisles. He took the part that makes the bells ring out of a couple of his toys, and I hung those in the place of them. They seem to stay on and are fairly sturdy. He rings one of the toys I have those in every morning to start his day. You could also try adding balsa or popsicle sticks into the mix, since my gcc loves to shred/splinter wood. No guarantees, but shred toys are generally a hit with lots of parrots. If you want to try getting them into foraging, you can stuff a small container with all sorts of nonsense and hide some treats throughout. I use craft beads and some of his toy balls sometimes to fill a little bucket since to some extent these contents are fairly reusable. If you do get interested dr foster smith has some good stuff on sale for reasonable prices too.

Get a blazing bison collar they are bright led lights that you can see over 100 yards away. I've been using one for over a year they are fantastic.

I drive an SUV so I got got this barrier and a rubber cargo mat for my trunk instead. I put a blanket and some toys back there It's been working well so far. My pup has realized that the car takes her fun places so now she sits quite calmly as I close the trunk. It was hard the first few times.

I was also wondering if anyone in this subreddit could chime in on these. Do they work? Is it safe? The barrier works but can be inconvenient. I would like to find a more permanent solution.
