Believe it or not, Scrub Free is amazing. It's about the best cleaner for everything. It removed the dried bird poo quickly, and even removed Sharpie marker from wood and cloth after my toddler son got creative and was hiding. It doesn't contain bleach and is pretty fast to dry.

I need this to clean my dorm bathroom. :D

Let's celebrate! Thank you for the contest!

u/MisterCrowley · 2 pointsr/GolfGTI

To protect the underside of my car, I sprayed all the rust prone bits with Fluid Film. I've done this to the last two cars I've had and it's been effective; it coats the surface in a waxy film that doesn't dry up. One good coating lasts the winter. It smells a bit funky because it's made out of sheep wool wax so don't spray it on the exhaust; I did this and my car smelled like a farm for a few days :/

u/MikeTython7 · 1 pointr/cars

I would recommend Fluid Film for underbody coating. Just clean off any loose dirt and rust then spray it on. Since it's lanolin based it wont damage any plastics or rubber and it does not wash off easily so your car can still be taken through the car wash.

You're going to want to use Scrubbing Bubbles

http://www.amazon.com/Scrubbing-Bubbles-Aerosol-Fresh-16-Ounce/dp/B0034792QY/ref=pd_sim_indust_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=07EFSVR7HY6YFS6H7K00

Don't use the ones that have bleach but the regular green bottle should do wonders for your cleaning.

u/astraboy · 1 pointr/AskMen

Notice I don't recognise half the brand names, so if you're UK based, go for cillit bang for the bath, sink and exterior toilet.

Inside the toilet dump some harpic limescale remover down there and leave it to settle. After about 20minutes scrub it good with the brush and then flush. Your toilet should be absolutely spotless and shiny. If not repeat until it does.

Finishing touch is one of these on the inside of the bowl, https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.amazon.co.uk/Toilet-Duck-Marine-Fragrance-96791/dp/B00604R04Y&ved=2ahUKEwippu70r_fZAhUhBMAKHY4dA4oQFjAVegQIBhAB&usg=AOvVaw2bvTZiBnBgY7QwLNpow7O3

u/errandwolfe · 1 pointr/homeassistant

So other than Alexa functionality how exactly does what you offer differ from this?

u/pedgaro · 1 pointr/wicked_edge

Some of their products contain bleach, just get one with no bleach.

u/MsMargo · 2 pointsr/whatisthisthing

Limescale on black tile is the worst! You can go organic and spray it with a mix of half vinegar and half water, let sit 15 minutes, rinse, and repeat as necessary. You can go chemical and use Lime-A-Way, great stuff: https://www.amazon.com/Lime-Way-Bathroom-Cleaner-Removes/dp/B0086A5I0I/

If it's bad enough that a quick dip in hot water and a buff with a towel won't clean it off, which I'm assuming it is, otherwise you wouldn't be asking, Scrubbing Bubbles is what you want. (No need to order it from Amazon -- any grocery store should carry it if you're in the States -- it was just the easiest place to find a product link.) It's made specifically for cleaning soap scum off of chrome (among other things). I would not use Soft Scrub or any other scouring type cleanser on a razor.

Clorox Tilex has worked very well for a similar problem I have had outside my house.

Washing every 4-5 can ruin the oil in a dog’s coat which may lead to skin issues, washing every few weeks should be fine so excessive odor could be a medical problem as or just they he is. It’s at least worth bringing up at your next vet appointment. I use these between baths to help with doggy odor, they work quite well in my experience.

No real advice for getting him used to water, but figured those may help with the odor problem at least.

here's what you do:

  1. get a safety razor

  2. if you're a terrorist, get these. if you're justin bieber, get these.

  3. get or make a small mirror with suction cups

  4. get in the shower and get hot water on your face for about 15 seconds.

  5. soap up. not lather up with shaving cream, you fag. i said soap up your face. don't need thick lather at all.

  6. shave.

  7. if the mirror gets foggy, get some water in your mouth and spit on it.

  8. every few months just hit it with a few squirts of this

  9. get out and hit your face with some of this

  10. you just saved 19 hours, you asshole.

Something I can answer! Am a cosmetologist. Specifically this Tilex gets color out of everything. I've been using it for years... counters, floors, tiles, mattress, wood door, sinks.... one time, I accidentally left black and purple dye in the (guest) shower for three days! Another time, I found a very old, deep purple dye stain on an off-white couch... This took it right out, each time. Just don't use it on any cloth that is pure white, as it will give it a yellow cast.

See if there is something in the tank.

Then put these in the tank, 1 tablet lasts about a month, keeps that gross stuff under control

I'll try to make this a short story... I noticed a mildew smell coming from our big bay-window in the front of our house. It's one of those custom jobs that was built in the 60s--non standard sizes panes of glass. I pulled up some of the sill and that's where it was coming from. I pulled out the drywall below it. I did the bleach/bleach & water, vinegar, etc. thing to clean it out. Then I found a product called Boracare w/MoldCare. It's used to treat/prevent mold and pests in new or existing structures. I only used a little (comes as a concentrate that makes 4-5 gallons). Once dry, it's supposed to be relatively safe for kids/pets. It's expensive (around $120 for the jug of concentrate), but I haven't had any issues since I sprayed it into the area under the bay window. It's also supposed to penetrate and kill anything that the bleach missed. I highly recommend it. You can spray it yourself, so you save on the contractor fees.

In your case, you're probably going to have to go down to bare studs, remediate that and put moisture-resistant drywall up. But you can spray the Boracare into the void before you put the wall board back up. I would guess any insulation you have in the walls is probably contaminated too.

When it starts getting cold and I change to my winter tires and do the winter's oil change, I get under the car and spray this stuff over everything. Yeah, it's gross and the underside of your car will be pretty nasty, but it won't have rust. As someone who lives above the snow line, you have to choose your battles.

u/musicAlly · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

This would be great! I have heard nothing but good things about these products.

I don't have pictures of my favorite CAH moment ever, but I shall explain it and hope it is still funny! Let me start this off by saying I SWEAR I AM NOT RACIST EVEN A LITTLE BIT. The black card was "When you get right down to it __ is really just __." I didn't really have too many options to play for it except a really really awful combo. I showed it to my boyfriend who cringed a little but gave me an approving nod anyways and said to just go for it. "When you get right down to it racism is really just doing the right thing." There was an awful, awful silence for a split second afterwards and I started to panic, thinking that surely everyone would hate me now for being a racist. And then laughter erupted. Someone actually fell off his chair. The reader said he didn't even need to read the rest of the cards... I was victorious!

u/unsalted · 3 pointsr/Ultralight

I've done the same thing after packing it before a flight. Bleach may ruin the material

To kill it

To remove the stains took a bit of scrubbing and sitting over night before rinsing.

Edit: there are cheaper sources like Home Depot.

Hello! I’m glad you asked before getting one of these. Most of the store brands that you’ll see are the same MTD snowblower with a different name and color paint. As all of these individual companies went out of business over the past 20 years, MTD bought the name and now sells their junk with these once-trustworthy brand names painted on them. For instance, you can buy the same 30” snowblower at Lowe’s with a Troy-Bilt badge, at Tractor Supply with a Cub Cadet badge, at Sears with a Craftsman badge, at Walmart (Yard Machines maybe? I forgot.) etc. Troy-Bilt was once a company that made great power equipment in Troy, NY. Now MTD and Lowe’s just take advantage of their reputation.

I picked up a Troy-Bilt 3090 XP from Lowe’s when I first bought my house and hadn’t looked into these. I wish I hadn’t. The plastic chute doesn’t stay locked in place, the starter and lights failed immediately (the first use), and the steel/paint are inferior (rust!).

I have three recommendations. The first is to buy a Toro or Husqvarna from a local, independent dealer. You’ll have vastly better machine quality and customer service. If you tell me what area you live in, I can recommend a dealer.

The second is to hose off your snowblower in the spring, and then (once dry) coat every metal part with a thin layer of Fluid Film, a rust inhibitor. You can do this to the underside of lawnmower decks too.

Lastly, buy gasoline in small one-gallon increments and use the blue Sta-Bil fuel treatment all the time. At the end of the season, make sure your equipment’s gas tank is completely full with treated fuel to avoid moisture buildup and other fuel/storage problems. If you ever have untreated gas that’s two months old or treated gas that’s six months old, put it into your car and get a fresh supply for your OPE.

Edits:

• Snowblowers aren’t an especially dangerous tool. Just don’t stick any body parts into the chute while it’s running.

• I don’t care for any of Consumer Reports’ reviews. They tend to test brand new items for immediate use and have no perspective on long-term dependability, maintenance, customer service, or factory support.

• I’ve had MTD reject a warranty claim on a leaf blower because I couldn’t find my receipt. They could have just checked the serial number to see that it had only been manufactured six months before the problem, but they’re in the business of selling as many low-quality items as they can and ignoring customers with problems.

• Get one with a metal chute and manual crank-style adjustment. The cheap plastic joystick-style (both manual and electric) adjustments are the first point to fail on these.
