You need something with acid in it. Those sorts of stains are usually hard water deposits, which have become discolored.

My favorite product for this is Lysol Lime and Rust, which is a thick gel. It will cling to the bowl and dissolve the deposits. You probably will want to shut off the water valve, flush the toilet, then apply the gel so that it will get the best contact. Leave it as long as possible, like while you're at work, or overnight.

It contains (diluted) hydrochloric acid, which is very effective at breaking up hard water deposits. The "Lysol Power" version also contains hydrochloric acid, I believe.

Kaboom BowlBlaster 24oz. Toilet Bowl Cleaner Gel, honestly the best cleaner I've ever seen.

u/amanforallsaisons · 1 pointr/Wetshaving

This looks like it, but tbh if I were you I'd buy it at a local store. Usually if it has bleach, it will specify "Scrubbing Bubbles with Bleach," but I'd still want to double check the active ingredients.

Hope this helps.

That's your air handler where your blower and coils are.

Buy some of this and spray it on the coils really good. Also tap the PVC pipes to make sure they are washed out.

Also replace your filters after you do all this. It's just clogged. If this is in your basement then the PVC likely also goes to a pump and make sure that works as well to pump the water out.

More line than you think you need. Double the line. You can never have enough line.

Waterproof, powerful flashlight my recommendation

Plastic bag with a lanyard for valuables/wallets/phones/licenses. Alternatively, a pelican case.

A pair of vice grip pliers ("The wrong tool to get every job done right")

A knife, as others said. I work professionally on the water as well as boating recreationally. The Myerchin Rigging Knife is the best all purpose knife to have on board. It might be a little overkill, but when you need a line cut fifteen seconds ago, you'll be glad you have it.

A VHF handheld radio and a knowledge of what channels are monitored by the USCG (13, 16, 22A), Commercial traffic (13/16) and local police/fire departments

Spare fuses, bulbs, plugs

A Towboat US membership

A bigger, heavier anchor if you're anywhere with a decent amount of current (rivers, oceans). I'm very much a proponent of overkill when it comes to anchoring. I use an anchor way bigger than my 20' pontoon needs, and it's a tad pricey, but once I drop it and pay out the scope, I rarely worry about dragging.

Bag of cleaning supplies. Rags, paper towels, and the holy trinity of vinyl care: melamine pads, CLR Mold & Mildew, and 303 protectant

Most important item of all: A bleach bottle with the bottom cut off

if it's been there a while, get something like this, take it and the chair to a diy car wash. spray it with the cleaner and the pressure sprayer should take care of the rest cheaply. if it's a new issue a regular hose and some bleach might be good enough.

I just used Cholorox Bleach Free Disinfecting Bathroom Cleaner and it got the soap scum of an old Fatboy very quickly. Says right on the bottle "tough on soap scum" and "kills 99.9% of germs" both of which seem like idea features when cleaning an old razor. The liquid spray foams up a bit and its very easy to work into the crevices of the razor.

I sprayed it on and let it soak for 5 minutes, and then scrubbed it clean with a toothbrush. Then I rinsed in hot water and scrubbed it again with a toothbrush and some dish soap.

Go in there, with a mask, spray every little corner down and let it sit.

Do this 3 to four times.

I was amazed how well this worked, honestly. Make sure to get that specific one exactly though, I tried again with the oxyclean and foam stuff and it did nothing.

This stuff is allegedly made specifically for non slip tub surfaces and is said to work better than any other option...

Kilrock Big-K.

Best descaling agent I've ever used. Read the reviews on Amazon if you don't believe me. Just be careful.

As a cheaper (and safer) alternative, you can add some vinegar to the water and boil the kettle. But it'll take longer and might not remove stubborn limescale.

u/FantasticMikey · 1 pointr/LifeProTips

If you use a daily shower spray cleaner like Tilex or Clean Shower, you don't have to scrub or wipe and the spray itself helps make the water droplets go away when you spray them.

u/unclebuxom · 15 pointsr/tifu

Apparently these tiny toilet bowl cleaners are a real thing

I'm not saying OPs story is real, since anyone who's been on reddit for more than a day can tell you 90% of FP stories are a lie... but some incarnation of tiny toilet bowl cleaner do exist. This much we now know. Thanks Google and OP.

This is the BEST THING EVER for cleaning a bathroom super quick. Works with THESE REFILLS

You should totally get them to stock my house or yours!

u/NeptuNeo · 2 pointsr/fixit

Use this to clean it, it's amazing

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074F242VQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

its a clinging bleach/ thick gel that will cover the mold and eliminate it without any scrubbing or effort, it will also remove all the soap scum

I also moved into a house as a teen that had a horrible cat urine odor. We tried everything for months with no success. Then we finally tried Husky uric acid cleaner and it got it. The key is the Uric acid neutralizer in it. The Uric acid is what is in the urine that sticks around and smells.

Back then there wasn't a Clorox cat urine cleaner but apparently that works as well and tackles the Uric acid.

Still, as I stated, I used CLR, compound, vinegar and this cerium oxide has been the onlty thing that worked.

Piggybacking to say this stuff gets dye stains/etc out of everything. I once forgot black hair dye in a shower for 3 days, used this stuff, and it was like it never happened. Do not use on pure white fabric, as it will turn it to a dingy, yellowish white.

u/seankdla · 1 pointr/Coffee

If you can get it over the pond, Killrock is the nuts.
