I had a similar uniform im training for a job. If done wrong you can look like a busboy/valet. Things to focus on: belt, watch, shoes. You have to make sure your shirt and pants fit obviously.

But you can add a touch of personality with your watch and belt. Keep everything black since your shoes are black.

Black leather belt with a gold or silver face. If you get a black leather watch, make sure the metal matches your belt ( gold with gold, silver with silver). You could get black alligator or lizard watch/belt for extra pizzaz. I wore a gold pinky ring but that was personal taste , its up to you.

As for your shoes: i would go with black captoe oxfords but thats the most formal and would look better with a full suit. You could always get derbys or loafers but please please don't get any cheap, square toed, rubber soled shoes. Your shoes are the most important part. It will make or break you, but also i understand its just for work.

Make sure you keep them shined and make sure your shirt is always crisp and not wrinkled

Here are some shoe, watch, and belt recommendations. I don't know your budget so i went kinda cheap.

u/cornelln · 6 pointsr/Outlier

I'd like to recommend the Grip6 Belt.
https://grip6.com/ (also on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Grip6-Adjustable-Lightweight-Business-Comfortable/dp/B018I1NSDS/ref=sr_1_1?srs=13996163011&ie=UTF8&qid=1479159661&sr=8-1&keywords=grip6+belt).

Pros:

  • It's the most minimal belt I've found with regard to buckle etc. My main problem I was trying to solve was a belt I could wear and then have a t-shirt hang over it and not worry about this giant mass of metal/plastic (bulge) whatever being visible under a t-shirt. My search was optimized around this goal. The Grip6 belt because of how it works seems to have the smallest buckle volume of any belt I've ever owned. It ends up working in a totally unorthodox way for removal/etc due to this design. But to me it's worth it.
  • It's a slide belt so no holes to worry about, which makes it's fit more customizable
  • It's just simply nylon. I don't really see why the thing won't last forever UNLESS the mount point at the end breaks off (photo later if people are interested in this - it appears pretty durable though).
  • Because the excess belt material goes UNDER not OVER the rest of the waist there is no extra belt end that can ever poke out. The extra belt material is always out of sight. You can't have issue of the end of the belt not being near a belt loop (to hold down the belt) or something like this.
  • It's cheap!
    Cons:
  • The way it inserts and fastens is totally unique to me versus other belts. This takes a bit of getting used to when taking it on and off but it's not been a big deal to me
  • It's only nylon, so if you wanted a more classic dress look like leather, etc you are SOL.

Normally I am not into X random KickStarter that is redesigning a tried and true classic object. Because classic items are sort of solved problems very often. It's possible Grip6 design isn't unique to them and I've just never seen it before in a belt as a design.

I worry anything w magnets involved like the OP is looking for is probably going to result in a bigger buckle (so magnets are large enough to work). There is something so sublimely minimalistic and simple about the Grip6 that it feels hard to improve in that regards.

Part of the aesthetic value of Outlier to me is this pursuit of minimalism, in which case the Grip6 fits very nicely.

I can post photos of belt later if anyone is really interested. Their website has a lot of info and videos though I think.

Funny you should mention that.

The CZ-75B was my first handgun. I'm Czech, so it just had to be.

I carried it at work all the time in the first generation of crossbreed holsters that came out. I barely knew it was there! It concealed easily because I had a 46" waist.

Over time I started to get annoyed that it pulled my pants down a bit when I walked around, so I started to carry the XD45 that I had gotten later. It was a bit better, so I carried that for a long time.

Then I lost a bunch of weight and couldn't conceal an XD anymore comfortably. I now have a 36" waist and carry a PPS in .40 ("biggest" small gun I could find with an SA trigger) with a Don Hume IWB.

Somewhere along this journey that I'm sure you're getting bored reading about I discovered my initial problem: The gun was not too heavy, I was just wearing a non-gun belt. The belt was a $9.99 thin leather belt from Target. I now wear exclusively (except for when I dress up for weddings or interviews and the like) 5.11 gunbelts. They're inexpensive, don't look like gunbelts, and once they break in they are very comfortable, even though that does take some time.

This is the one I wear all the time, and I have another one too that doesn't have the stitching on it. It has lasted me three years and is just now starting to show some signs of wear. You can get them cheaper than this online, but I can't seem to find where I got mine from... somewhere on sale. Now I can wear my big ol' steel .44 magnum revolver on the same belt I wear every day without any problem, and it's comfortable enough to go hiking in.

TL;DR: No, it's not too heavy if you have the proper belt. I recommend 5.11 Casual Leather. After a month of break-in, it will hold up anything.

EDIT: I would not go for a Glock for concealment for two reasons: 1) It is very thick and blocky which makes for easy printing, while the CZ is smooth and slim and rounded, so even with more snug fitting shirts it does not print. 2) I don't trust unsupported chambers (Glock kaboom issue).

A nice in-between would be the SA XD-M. It's less blocky than the Glock, shoots better than it, and is still lighter than the CZ.

Morthy demands:

Item which would most make you seem like an old posh Englishman: Maybe a posh belt frommy kilt list?

Most "oh god, I would never be seen with this in public" looking item: How about a Kilt Sock Knife from my kilt list.

Most phallic looking item: Well if you take a look in my costume list you may well see my sword

Akeleie demands:

Most geeky item: Well I have a lot of geeky items on there so depends what kinda geeky you go for, if you look in my games, models or computer lists then they are all geeky, even my costume list is geeky. So I am going to go for the E-Tip gloves from my outdoor list that allows you to use touchscreens in the cold!

Item which would most help you achieve a goal: well I guess I have a goal to complete my kilt and this antler would help medo that.

Best item to bring to a deserted island: If I'm on a deserted island I would want to channel the spirit of Jack Sparrow with his pirate hat from my costume list.

u/nextyoyoma · 1 pointr/goodyearwelt

I had the exact same problem. Since I'm cheap, I went to RW and got the nylon ones for free, but I really want the highly-recommended Guarded Goods waxed flat laces. Mainly I just don't want to pay for the shipping just to order a single set of laces.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I bought a different color of this belt on amazon back in May and it's looking really good as it wears. Definitely a casual belt, as it's very wide and scratches easily, but for a budget option it's better than most belts I've had in recent years. Not exactly the same color, so if you're very particular about that it might not work for you.

u/Cellophane_Girl · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

2 $1.50 + Free Shipping. On "Assorted Nonsense" list (default list)

4 $1.99 + $2.00 shipping. On "Clothing and Accessories" list.

6 $5.97 with free shipping. On "Movies etc" list.

8 $8.04 with free shipping On "Assorted Nonsense" list (default list)

I put the prices as they stand now, because I noticed some of the things have changed since I added them (some up some down).

I like this idea for a contest it's pretty cool. Thanks for doing it. :)

If I may make a suggestion buy yourself a ratcheting belt like this:

WERFORU Leather Ratchet Dress Belt for Men Perfect Fit Waist Size Up to 44" with Automatic Buckle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XH84FXX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_TsL3AbKR1Q7FF

Completely solves the belt loop probably. I love that one I got. Cheaper and better than any other belt I've had.

u/powderblock · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

Maybe this is a bit more "rugged" looking compared to what you are going for, but a few months ago I picked up a 40MM Levi's leather belt.

It works so well on me in so many different outfits.

Moreover, it's reversible. This belt can be worn as a black or a brown.

One thing I didn't know because this was my first time buying a belt online and I hadn't considered this, the size listed is the smallest notch on the belt. Ordering a 40 inch belt was way too long and required me to mark out and notch the rest of the belt down to my waist size.

Other than that, the belt is really high quality, made well, looks great, feels great, I like it!

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

I didn't want to spend that on a belt, either, but since I got my walnut strands for $219 (Nordstrom's sale) I decided to blow the $100 I saved on one of these which is about as good a match to the strands as you can possibly get.

No $20 belt is going to do much besides detracting from the shoes; the only good thing about a belt like that is that it will quickly fall apart and force you to get something nicer.

u/pegged50 · 20 pointsr/sexover30

Some things my wife loves on me

Silk boxer briefs .

Faux leather short

Chest harness Yeah, that's a bit kinky, but she just loves the look.

Really, just search Amazon: Sexy mens lingerie. There's tons of options.

u/MizarsAsterism · 2 pointsr/Firearms

I have this belt, I think. I haven't carried with it but it's pretty good, stiff, and I've heard good things about carrying with it.

Another note, if your state allows you the choice whether or not to get a manual safety, have in mind the likelihood of you moving to another state where one is required. There are arguments for/against manual safeties, but they're all moot if you end up living somewhere that legislates your choice for you.

u/olds-cool · 1 pointr/rawdenim

I must say I cobbled one together via a veg tan leather belt off of Amazon and a quick release buckle (ala PigeonTreeCrafting) off of AliExpress. I am a little over a year in and its wearing VERY well, I get compliments on it all the time. Belt is nice thick leather and the buckle still looks brand new. Looks pretty much exactly like the pigeontree quick releases belt. All in was about $40.

Here ya go. It's more attractive than it looks in the pic. Actually, wow, a lot of these have come down in price now. The Last Chance Belt is pretty nifty too, the original 5.11 is cheaper now too (but identical to the Tru-Spec), 5.11's real "tactical" offering is pretty stiff and useless for regular folks imo, but here it is too.

http://i.imgur.com/yFLLE.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6Y9rf.jpg .... Just thought I'd show this. There are very expensive German axes out there. I will get one. Till then this axe was purchased on amazon with the sheath for $25. Good balance, light and the axe head come to a very very thin edge. A little sharpening and this can be a great carving axe, as well as split wood. So, you don't need to spend $100 for a great axe. Cheers. http://i.imgur.com/W1Cai.jpg

That link didn't work and yeah sorry, I should have specified what I didn't like about it :)

In your photo, at least, it has a kind of matte, almost plastic look. I'd basically just be looking for something with a little bit of a sheen to it and a slight variation in color as is natural to leather, similar to the shoes and watch band.

Just to choose something sort of at random with good reviews, I mean something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GHXJDC1/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?pd_rd_i=B07GHVK419&pd_rd_w=MoR0f&pf_rd_p=c83c55b0-5d97-454a-a592-a891098a9709&pd_rd_wg=Rh7AK&pf_rd_r=N6TAB8XF3FN1DVYH925R&pd_rd_r=56fb6365-5a3f-4334-b733-43f655c4f856&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUE1SU5HSVQ3NjJMSFgmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA4Mjg3NjQxRDE3NlBYNUlSRzNKJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAyMDkzNjNFRTA4WUtNTUhLVTQmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWxfdGhlbWF0aWMmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl&th=1&psc=1

I actually think the watch band looks pretty great, though what might be suggested to make it fit the outfit better is a metal band instead a leather one. I think you're risking over-doing the matchiness if you try to match the band to the other leather elements. It'll probably be much more noticeable in a bad way if they all three match really closely than if they don't match.

u/i_use_this_for_work · 2 pointsr/BuyItForLife

You're wearing improperly fitted shirts.

First, get properly fitted, tailored shirts. Your shirts are pulling up and out because your arm scythes (arm holes) are too large, thus when you reach around, your shirt keeps pulling. With a smaller arm hole, the the movement stays in the arms and doesn't pull the body of the shirt around.

Also, your sleeves are probably too short. Your shirt sleeve should come to rest at the base of your thumb by way of a properly sized cuff, NOT on the length of fabric from the shoulder seam. Adjusting the cuff size is as simple as moving a button. If you buy off the rack consistently, try a sleeve length one or two steps longer than your current one, and move the button on the cuff to adjust the tightness so it rests at the bottom of your thumb. When you put your hand all the way out to reach, the cuff should not come up your forearm where it catches and pulls out of your pants.

The size of the arm hole and length of sleeve will isolate the movement to the arms and not affect the body of the shirt. The adjustment of the cuff allows for it to still look proper at rest so the sleeves aren't falling over your hands.

Custom shirts can be had on a website like ModernTailor.com or ProperCloth.com for as much as you'll pay in the store for an off the rack version ($40-60).

Also, take your current shirts to a tailor (this is one of the few times you can use the lady at your dry cleaners for tailoring) and have the body taken in if you want them tighter to the body. Remember that too tight will make things worse. You need some slack for movement.

You should also have a strip of rubber sewn into the waistband of your pants. That, along with properly fitting shirts, will help your shirts stay tucked even with great reach.

This product may also be an option for you:

http://smile.amazon.com/Shirt-Lock-1-X40-Keeper/dp/B003PKWV5O

Lastly, a dress shirt, regardless of cost, is NEVER BIFL. A QUALITY shirt will last approximately 50-70 commercial launderings.

Hope this helps. Good luck!!

I just got a new belt which I'm rather pleased with as the other was fast becoming something of a scraggy skipping rope. I thought I'd post it as it has my personal stamp of approval for those of us in the UK. It's designed so you can properly alter it and still look great as you lose weight. There's no ragged ends or messing around with kitchen knives when you need to alter it and it comes complete with a hole punch. Brilliant product and lovely quality too!

There's no affiliate links or any of that shit just something I've been thoroughly impressed by and wanted to share with you guys.

u/PichusOten · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

If you're wearing blue lightwash jeans, cream colored shoes fit well; cream colored belt do not usually because it'd stand out a lot. If you're super casual, I don't see the need for a belt. If you want a belt, I'd recommend a light brown woven/canvas belt. If you really wanna stick with matching the belt, get something like this where the black line doesnt make it pop too much.

u/shiftdown · 62 pointsr/AskMenOver30

I really love these bedsheets found on amazon.

Dewalt cordless drills are on sale right now.

I've had these dress belts for a couple years and really like them.

This is the best thermos I've ever had. Use it daily.

u/extraminimal · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

They're good with what you're wearing. Not quite ideal, but I doubt anyone would give it a second glance. If you wore chinos instead of wool pants, they're fit the formality more ideally. I'd also point out that the belt is the same formality at the shoes. With what you're wearing, a slightly narrower dress belt would work better.

Thanks!

Akers makes a half-decent reinforced leather belt for ~$45 with Prime shipping. Price changes based on size and color, but averages $45. I've been meaning to post a review comparing it to my Beltman belts for a while now; just haven't got around to it.
