The article isn't entirely correct. Paul put out a self-titled Feersum Ennjin EP back in 2005 that was really good. Definitely worth picking up.


Additionally, the Lusk - Free Mars record he did in 1997 was absolutely fantastic. In my top 10 of all time.

Stoked to hear the new record for sure.

please do not be misled,as i was, by this title! i was looking in kids videos and did a search for "cows", as my toddler is fascinated with farm animals, especially cows. i was unable to glean any information on content, but went ahead and ordered it anyway. was i surprised when it turned out to be an "in concert" video by a punk band filmed at cbgb's in new york! not at all what i expected!!!!!

The box sets are great, IMO. Lots of content that isn't available anywhere else, or is far more easily accessible in the box set. They're also well-priced - for the price Pink Floyd are charging for their Later Years set I could almost get On And Off The Road, Starless and the THRAK box.

The remixes (not remasters) are great, too. The 40th sets are also reasonably priced for a CD and DVD/Blu-ray set, and they usually contain a good amount of special content, as well as a 5.1 mix by Steven Wilson.

I believe that's "Music for Montserrat" all these artists came together to raise money for Montserrat after a volcano. It's a great show, and I highly recommend getting the dvd, it's such an amazing show, Paul McCartney and Elton John also show up. Utterly epic.

I’d recommend one of the recent big box sets! They’re great and if he doesn’t already have them, make pretty awesome gifts!

I LOVE VH1 Classic. They have a 2 hour block of either 80's music or Metal (thrash, heavy, and hair, usually) every weekday morning. They have old concert footage (they've playing a lot of KISS stuff lately). They also have "That Metal Show," where they happen to geek out about the kind of music I like the most. Colbert, Stewart, and Conan are awesome, but Steve Vai, Mike Portnoy, Ronnie James Dio, or any number of other musician is on TMS and that decision is pretty damn easy.

Edit: Also, VH1 Classics, when not playing music, has good documentaries about music. I've seen Classic Albums: Joshua Tree, and numerous Behind the Music's. My only gripe is that I've been noticing a few more "relevant" 80's movies recently, such as Ferris Bueller, Bill and Ted, Molly Ringwald stuff, etc.

Does he have a TV etc? Maybe a live concert recording as a stocking stuffer. The engraving is a good call, if he uses a stethoscope in his practice, it's 99% guaranteed to be a littmann- you could call his office/nurses and see what model he uses, and get him an engraved one, or an upgrade+engraved one like the Electronic Littmanns. See if you can maybe get in touch with a colleague of his and see if it would apply to his practice. Pen would be a great choice. Pick literally ANY pricepoint and there are 100 choices, engraved makes a great touch.

3. Live 8 not included (then again, this could just be chalked up as "cuz Roger...")
