I work as a wilderness cavern guide and spend even more time caving for fun or doing various caving assignments. This helmet is great. Good suspension, good ventilation, and easy to mount higher end gear later on down the line. Been using mine for 4-5 years.
I had a question about helmets too. Don't even have a bike yet. I have a helmet from when I skateboarded. This kind pretty much except in adult and not pink. They say they are good for biking on the box but I have never seen a single cyclist wearing this style.
Are they some kind of less safe or is it just my inner skateboarder that still likes the style while others prefer more biker looking styles?
If you’re doing bike speeds, a bike or skate helmet would work. If you’re going over 20mph and around other vehicles then motorcycle gear is recommended. I’ve had a few minor incidents where my gloves and helmet have saved me from an ER visit.
Full face helmet, padded jacket, gloves, knee protection or riding pants, riding boots. My list of gear for riding my Dualtron 3 approx 35mph to and from work. I wear a bike helmet when I’m going for rides with the kiddos and I stay around 15mph max, 8mph average (lol).

this helmet To protect my delicate few remaining brain cells while rock climbing and spelunking.
Went ahead and ordered some so I'd have something when the board gets here on Wednesday. Went https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01K47RVSC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_6FTvyb0GMVAEV for the helmet and https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GG7AYLG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_uHTvybZ125X37 for knee/elbow/wrist.
Went with a lower cost option because the reviews from the low end all the way to the top seemed pretty mixed. I'll let you guys know how it all works later in the week if I can get some decent weather to try it all out!
