Mini Mac Lipstick in Russian Red. Not a recent purchase, but I didn't start wearing it regularly until last week. At first I thought it was a little dark, but it's turned out to be the perfect shade of deep, bluish red. It matches my cool undertones, and I've received so many compliments wearing it. Plus, the staying power is fantastic. Still hasn't outdone my #1 NYX Matte Lipstick in Perfect Red, but this is definitely a new go-to. Rave.

EcoTools Wonder Color Finishing Brush. I dunked the ferrule of my Coastal Scents blush brush in water like a dummy, so I had to replace it. Ulta didn't have the Real Techniques brush I wanted in stock, so I got the EcoTools Precision Blush Brush, and happened to see this. It was ~$6, so I picked it up, since I wanted a dedicated contour brush. Works fabulous with my powder and liquid contour. Plus, I'm really enjoying the new EcoTools aesthetics and packaging. I still own my very first brush set from high school--also EcoTools--and it's amazing to see how much that brand has grown and improved. I hope my new brushes are as resilient as my first ones. I still can't believe my favorite eye shadow brush is nearing its tenth birthday. Rave.

Esarora Portable Travel Cosmetics Case. I've seen briefcase style makeup bags all over Amazon, so when my family got me a gift card, I bought this one in purple. It's sturdy and holds most of my makeup. The divider system is solid and easy to use. Overall, I really like this, and it's made keeping my makeup out of the bathroom a much easier task. The size is a good compromise between space and weight, and is probably better for travelling than something bigger. It is small though, and it's only large enough to hold basic brushes and tools for a full face, and three palettes comfortably. I can fit my standard makeup plus a little extra, but not much else, and it's certainly not big enough for skincare products, unless they've been depotted and put in carry-on bottles. This case is probably the most functional size for me; I did want a case to fit everything, but now I realize that would be far too heavy for daily use. Mostly Rave, A Bit Rant.

Makeup Revolution's Flawless Mattes Palette. So far I'm enjoying this. I haven't had it for long enough to really play with it, but my one-palette makeup kit was in dire need of mattes and basic shades, so I bought this. I've enjoyed the colors I've used, and while I was initially miffed this palette didn't have a true black, I've found the darkest shade, a soft charcoal named Carbon, actually looks better on me than true black. Rave.

Makeup Revolution's Love Conquers All Palette. This was a free gift with my $15 purchase of the above palette, and includes one highlighter shade, and six generous portions of eyeshadow. I absolutely adore the highlighter; it works well as a blush for my pale skin. The color payoff on the eye shadow is great, and since there's a good bit of product, I'll be set for a while. Rave.

I've really been eyeing this polish/nail accessories organizer on Amazon for quite a while, but it's kinda expensive and out of all the upcoming expenses and household organization items I'd like to get, it would be for me, so it's kinda the lowest priority.

I've also been eyeing this spice rack organizer for a while because everything is just kinda shoved in our spice cabinet right now and I always have to end up taking everything out of the cupboard to see what we have in back and then it turns out we don't have what I was looking for anyway. Sigh

Hubby and I were hoping to take the kids and check out the apple festival this weekend, but I've just been put on medical leave from work and am not sure traipsing all around the festival might not be the smartest idea ever. Thinking about suggesting the Children's Museum to him though because I need to go all the way downtown to get some stuff off my work e-mail and the Children's Museum is right there and our season passes to that are still good, so it would be free. It is relatively contained, so I would be able to sit and rest as needed while he keeps an eye on the kiddos.

My favorite part of fall is Halloween, especially now that the kiddos are old enough to enjoy it. I think I know what we are hoping to do for my daughter's costume, but I have no clue what to do for my son's!

Feel free to browse my various WLs and surprise me if I'm lucky enough to win!

just for funsies

Thank you for the contest!

The acrylic organizers I found on amazon are here and here.

I detail where I found other organizational items in the captions but most of my storage came from Wal-Mart, Dollar General, At Home, or Amazon. I don't think any organizer I have was over $22. In case you can't see the captions I'll list my descriptions.

(1)Is just an overview of my collection, my desk is pretty old and heavy but I want to make it look less ugly.

(2)This container Is from Wal-Mart. I found a similar on on their website but I only paid $10 for this one.

(3)With a pack of organizers I found at Dollar General I separated some lip products by miscellaneous sizes and brands, lip liners and other tall lip products, and then one section that's all WNW Catsuits and bullet lipsticks.

(4)This one has been decluttered recently, I got rid of my WNW shadows since I don't use them so this one looks more bare than others. I keep my Colourpop SS shadows in the smaller containers as well as my ABH Dipbrow Pomade and MAC's Painterly Paint pot. The rest is random mini mascaras, single shadows, a Colorpop SS that's drying out, and a super old Avon quad from 2007 and single shadow of my moms from the early 2000's or late 90s.

(5)Here I separated blushes with the square organizer the set came with becasue I have more blushes than anything and there was a perfect amount of space to store my highlighters in the front, and then my pressed powders and bronzers to the side.

(6)I couldn't find this exact organizer but I got it from At Home. It just perfectly fits some everyday products and lipsticks.

(7) I've been looking for something like this for YEARS. I found this on Amazon and I'll link it in the comment section. Previously I had stored all my palettes in the top drawer of the drawers and had lip products all over my desk. It holds all my palettes, eye brushes, and then a smaller spot for sponges and my eyelash curler. I keep my sponge in this lil jack-o-lantern I got as a gift.

(8)Lastly I have this organizer I also found on Amazon. It's just a five compartment acrylic thing that holds face products, liquid lipsticks, and brushes. I keep my dirty brushes in a Kentucky Derby cup form my birth year.

u/lanmel · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I'm not sure what your style is, but the IKEA Alex draws are 15% off now. You could buy an Alex draw, too, and two legs for around a $100. This might be a good options if you can't have anything on the desk top due to cats. Also if you have access to transportation I've seen desks at goodwill that could be refinished.

For something cheaper amazon and TJ Max have cheaper acrylic organizers. This lipstick holder is only $5. For palettes, I have this organizer. It's $20 and more expensive but if you look at the picture reviews you can see how big it is and that bulky palettes fit. I used to just have a letter organizer I got at TJ Max for $6, and that worked really well, but I couldn't fit all of my palettes.

Before I got my vanity I used Rubbermaid drawers, to help organize them I used a cheap cutlery organizer, something like this. I've also used old birchbox boxes to keep it organized. If your willing to put in a bit of work there are diy drawer organizers that you can make that look pretty cute like this.

u/bridena · 6 pointsr/makeuporganization

Couple things ...

  1. Sorry about the lighting in some of the images (my editing skills would have made it even worse. trust me.

  2. I haven't decided on a mirror. Do they make table top ones with natural light light bulbs, is that a thing?

  3. I got the 2nd and 3rd acrylic organizers here. $33.00 each.

  4. The first tower of acrylic organizers I actually purchased here. $42.00 If you think the pictures look exactly the same and went with another brand for $5 cheaper thinking the drawers would be the same size, you'd be wrong lol. They stack together perfectly (all I really cared about). The only difference is one single drawer in the 1st tower happens to be slightly taller, maybe a half inch, compared to the rest (the one with my Milani foundations in it). I think the 5th or 6th photo in shows a pic of it.

  5. Sitting on top of the towers are individual lipstick/lipgloss oganizers, the first and third of which I got [here] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E00X3VO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) (lipstick organizers). It was $13 for two :) The second/middle one I got here (lipgloss organizers). $25.00 for two (one not shown).

... BUT if I had to do it over again, I'd go to the container store. They have the cheapest I could find anywhere (Target, Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond, eBay, etc.) at 48 slots for 12 bucks (at 12", they'll fit perfectly on top the drawers as well).

The pallette organizer I got here. The three larger slots are all different sizes, the biggest one hold three Morphe pallettes if that helps anyone!

All in all,the acryclic drawers are holding:

    -3 face primers

    -15 foundations

    -3 setting powders

    -2 settings sprays

    -3 concealers

-2 eyeliners (I need recommendations! Status: URGENT)

-2 mascaras (I wear eyelash extensions, so mascara isn't really on my list :))

    -4 brow products

    -27 compacts

-254 lip products (72 in the holders on top)

    To complete the collections:

-16 palettes -cheek and eyes (pallette organizer)

    -36 lip liners (glass jar)
u/neverinne · 4 pointsr/sugarfreemua

I think you're on the right track, but if the parents are strict an opaque organizer that fits in a drawer might be a better idea - for example, this one or this one. Out of sight, out of mind and all that. Plus, you can pass it off as "a bag". ;)

Also, a basic skincare routine is a good idea for everyone, but especially makeup users - at the very least, you need to take the makeup off at the end of the day. Encourage her to use some of her gift cards to get a makeup remover (micellar water is a cheap and effective option, Garnier for example has a well-liked one), a hydrating cream/lotion/essence and some sunscreen.

u/HannahPiperBlack · 2 pointsr/SexToys

I use this big train case designed for makeup artists. If you wear makeup or have lots of personal care products, you can pass it off as extra storage. Before I started reviewing toys, I used the smaller style. I actually need a second large one at this point but for the average collection, it should be perfect. My large case holds about 10 bottles of 4.2 oz Sliquid lube, ~30 dildos, kegel balls and butt plugs, 4 full-size wands, 2 mini wands, ~25 clitoral and g-spot vibrators of varying sizes, 2 harnesses, a small paddle, some shibari rope, and two njoy dildos with their original storage cases. This thing is like a clown car.

I don't have any reason to hide my toys most of the time, but if my extended family comes over, it's perfect. These cases lock, have wheels and extendable handles like luggage, and are full of customizable storage compartments.

u/kizzeroo · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

I love my Shany train case! Similar to the ones here sold on Amazon. I think the best part is you can adjust the sizes of the compartments. The dividers slide in and out so everything fits perfectly like a glove :)

u/M4nif3st0 · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

Maybe invest in a train case? Something along the lines of this, which is a little over budget but you will probably fit a lot of make up inside it and it will be safe and secured all the time :)

My personal dream case is something along the lines of this

u/DBS116 · 1 pointr/steroids

Just posed this in Offtopic but I searched around a lot (tool boxes, lock boxes, etc etc) and ultimately landed on this from Amazon and fucking LOVE it. Lockable, lots of shelves, the vials fit perfect, discrete...

I love cases such as this. Amazon has a decent selection of rain cases that I may acquire down the road. Some of them amaze me.. like this on the go battlestation. You have done an excellent job at organizing your case. Nice work!

u/coriebrianne · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

For makeup pouches it really depends on how much makeup you're packing and how much protection it needs. I personally use this train case when I'm packing for more than a couple of days. I've lined the bottom with bubble wrap and put packing paper on top of my makeup to keep my products from rolling around.

For shorter trips I usually just use one of the free small bags I get from Victoria's Secret for spending too much money on bras. But you can find super cute makeup pouches on Etsy. I've also heard of people using small camera bags because they are usually pretty padded to protect the contents.

ROWNYEON Portable Travel Makeup Bag Makeup Case Mini Makeup Train Case 9.8'' https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E9VK1LS?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

I used this while I went on a trip. It was a lifesaver. I honestly wish I had this before my bf and I moved in together. Before, I used a small make up bag and had to make sure my pallets were stored securely in my purse so they wouldn’t open and break. This bag is awesome. You can adjust the sides to make the spaces bigger or smaller. I fit about 3 pallets in this thing. Too small for a morphe pallet, but it can fit 3 Kat von d pallets. If that helps.

u/takehart_sweethart · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

Don't buy this one or one in a similar style. It's not very sturdy and it is very awkward when it gets heavy. If you need to go up stairs or over uneven ground it's useless. I use the train case part but no longer attach it to the base. I carry all my other items in small bags and use a sturdy tote I got from Walmart.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SYD8Z9S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_d.aYzbH05J0H9

Zucas are amazing and I hope to have one some day.

Before I had this rolling case, I used a rolling suitcase. Buy some clear plastic storage bags like the zuca uses and that's a good start.

u/mgnwfy · 5 pointsr/RedditLaqueristas

For a cute gift type for the essentials I love this case:
Caboodles® Gilded Pleasure™ Nail Valet -
But that will not fit a lamp.

For just nail polish:
Universal Clear Nail Polish Organizer Holder for 48 Bottles

For the lamp:
ROWNYEON Portable Travel makeup bag - it is adjustable and cushioned.

Found the link here, thank you so much! For US girls it would worth the shot.

The shipping estimated to my country is 60usd (not counting with custom taxes), so it wouldn't be a good option for me, but it's a great discount! :)

I would recommend a train case like thisMake Up train case

It's extremely useful and she will have some great lighting to do her make up too

u/DownHouse · 2 pointsr/modelmakers

This guy is pretty similar. In general, cosmetics train cases are super great for hobby storage.

u/bec-t99 · 2 pointsr/Makeup

Do you have a picture of the inside too? Does it have separate compartments etc?

If you search "makeup case" on Amazon, you're likely to find something similar to what you're looking for. Maybe something like this or this I'm sure you can get ones that don't have the compartments if that's what you're looking for.

If you're on good terms with them, maybe ask your ex where they got it from? Hope this was helpful

u/TheStormborn · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

I got a square, large, metal train case from amazon last year. Its the best thing ever to store my makeup in! The one I have is silver, but it has adjustable compartments inside so that you can customize and maximize the space!

This is the one I have and love!

http://www.amazon.com/SHANY-Cosmetics-Aluminum-Makeup-Shoulder/dp/B00CEB5PJY/ref=sr_1_1?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1419003259&sr=1-1&keywords=shany+train+case&pebp=1419003264445

u/m_t_d · 2 pointsr/AskWomen

I usually have a hanging case like the ones that have been linked for my skincare and hair care, but the real game-changer for me was this sectioned makeup case:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01E9VK1LS/ref=sspa_mw_detail_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If you have less makeup, you can probably fit travel-sized skincare and hair care items in there, but I usually have more makeup and this keeps it organized by section so I’m not digging through trying to find the smaller items.

u/Caliah · 2 pointsr/electronic_cigarette

My original comment didn't show, so hoping this isn't a duplicate. :)

I found this locking aluminum box on Amazon for about $40. It's a perfect deterrent for my young children and gives me some peace of mind. The compartments are adjustable and my 60ml TVC juice fits in, standing up.

Found on Amazon here:

depending on the size of your collection, i think cosmetic cases like this or this work pretty well, and stay pretty smell proof.

u/ilikebigguns2 · 1 pointr/SexToys

Go look at a shany train case. It works awesome. The lock sucks but I am in process of putting different latch the i can lock on here. It holds a pretty fair amount, and keeps it separate. https://www.amazon.com/SHANY-Essential-Makeup-Train-Shoulder/dp/B00CEB5PJY

Thank you! I just got that organizer from Amazon it's the perfect size.

u/Rabid_Llama8 · 1 pointr/electronic_cigarette

Awww, its so small. I remember when my vape box was that small. Now I rock one of these in black. Yeah, its a makeup box, but it works SO well for vaping.

u/desuemery · 1 pointr/Makeup

Do you think this would go well with this train case someone recommended? She could have the majority of her stuff in the one you linked, and her palettes could fit in the train case

u/carcatcruz · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Amazon has great travel bags. I've recently picked this one up and love it! It's a big enough but not too big! I hope I'm linking this right: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E9VK1LS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_wv4MxJA2BaVQK

u/Eating_Brains · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

Sounds like you need a makeup case with different compartments/trays. Try something like this.

u/warcraftWidow · 1 pointr/BDSMcommunity

A makeup "train case" works well for smaller items and usually has lots of optional dividers to keep toys separated. Something like this:

u/SaltyFresh · 2 pointsr/RandomActsOfPolish

I'm so lucky. The ones I found online are pretty cool too though. This one holds up to 60 polishes but is a bit out of my price range. I'm thinking of getting this one! It holds up to 24
