Most of our gifts were replacements or upgrades of things we already owned. A really cheap and awesome gift we got was this stainless steel scraper, which makes it so much easier to transfer food from a cutting board to a pot/pan. We also got a matching set of this luggage belt with a TSA lock--I actually gifted one to my husband years ago, but we used this as an opportunity to replace his now worn-down belt. We also replaced our kitchen scale with this Amazon Basics one, which works really well. Another Amazon Basics item we received was this paper shredder, which is a kickass workhorse of a machine.
One of the first gifts we got was a Corelle dish set that I LOVE--it's so much lighter and more durable than the stoneware set we were using. We also replaced our silverware set with an Oneida set that we both picked out, which was a very sweet and meaningful experience. We already have a nice Oneida silverware set, but it belonged to my husband's late mother, and he wanted to retire it so it wouldn't take any more wear & tear.
Those are all gifts that were my hands-down favorite things we received. We were also able to buy two expensive items off our registry thanks to Amazon's completion discount. We purchased a Sonos soundbar and a Miele vacuum that were absolutely worth every penny we spent on them!

Spode has some great gothic dinnerware but you'll be spending thousands of dollars for a full setting for 8 hahaha

I do like these though, basic and black. Something about them I like....meh who knows.

u/sgntpepper03 · 1 pointr/1200isplenty

Thank you! Here they are. I am super clumsy and these are the only plates that I haven't been able to break in my house. Lol.

Here's the link.

This color of purple is by far my favorite, so yeah....I'm in love with them.

u/MCubb · 3 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Here's a cool swirly dark set!

And then a slightly different super dark big set!

u/just_some_Fred · 7 pointsr/WeWantPlates

At least it's flat, and it can be washed. The actual food looks pretty good too. I still can't help but think this would look better on a plate though. Even if you wanted to keep the shape and contrast, it takes less than a minute to find something on Amazon

Stainless steel dinnerware is pretty common in india and parts of south east asia.

Something like this would probably work. https://www.amazon.com/King-International-Stainless-Branded-Packing/dp/B015W8BP0I

If you want to go to a store and find some, you could try and see if there is an indian grocery store in a nearby city or a nearby chinatown.

Some cute matching kitchen items, maybe?

Owl salt and pepper shakers

Owl plate set

Owl oven mitt

Owl cannisters

Owl dishtowels

Actually I think I really want those dishes now!

The smiley face one is manufactured by JSCo. I found one used mug on EBay.

The brown one is part of the Hometrends Bazaar series. It is available at Walmart and Amazon but the search results typically show it as part of a set. Hopefully you can get just the cup.

u/Ask_Seek_Knock · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Okay I can't pick just one, so I'll give you a range of prices so you have more options.

Reuseable Shopping Bag

Any kind of Legos

Animal Treats

Just some more suggestions. Anything hobby related, books, movies and music are good. Toys, we all need some toys. :D

u/tealgirl · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I think these are nice or I absolutely love these or even these I hope you find a new set! I too have trouble throwing things away that were a gift, it just seems wrong but if you don't talk to the person anymore I would get rid of it too.

u/argetholo · 2 pointsr/bingingwithbabish

I don't know for sure, but given who we're talking about, it seems pretty coincidental that there are sets from Gordon Ramsey's collections that look awfully similar to both.

Grey stripe set and white inside, grey outside bowls.

u/jeisenne · 2 pointsr/Costco

I bought this exact set a couple of years ago at Costco when it was available, and only one item has broken (one of the mugs, probably from being squeezed a bit too hard in the dishwasher by my overzealous son who has to load the dishes as his chore).

https://www.amazon.com/Mikasa-Trellis-Piece-Dinnerware-Service/dp/B0758CS2R7

It's a beautiful set, and pretty sturdy, but I do notice a couple of knife marks on the plates so I told the guys to be a bit more gentle when cutting. I bought it on sale for $70ish.

u/haemaker · 1 pointr/HelpMeFind

Full Set.

It looks like the original came with a different design for the salad plate, does your set have bamboo salad plates or just a smaller version of the same design for the salad plate?

u/sethra007 · 5 pointsr/childfree

Well, it's not like you never pay for the essentials. The water heater in my house failed last Monday and I had to pay nearly $2K to have a new one installed (water heater + bring water & gas lines up to code, because the home's previous owner did some "creative" DIY).

But I also still had the disposable income this week to order some pretty new dishes for myself (ordered this set x2 so I could have service for eight). And a new plush blanket. And a nice dinner out with friends last Friday night. And some books and Blu-ray movies.

So, no. You can be a grown-up and not have to pay for only essentials.

u/Gypsierose8 · 1 pointr/weddingplanning

For some reason...I couldn't decide what set!
I ended up registering for like 3 different sets, then took them off, then put them on again.

These are the ones I really want, but are so expensive!

Then I registered for these so I would have a cheaper option:
