Get a sink strainer, the kind that is sort of a grid, from the dollar store, Amazon, or Lowe's. Cut 1-1.5" x 6-8" strips of fleece - I usually scrounge the scrap bin at JoAnn's. Usually takes about a yard - yard and a half, depending on the size of the mat and what size you cut your strips. Tie in knots on the sink mat. Voila! Sprinkle some treats on top to get him the idea that it's a treat toy - then as he gets used to the idea, separate the fleece and tuck it really deep down in. So much fun! This is how we feed our puppy 1/2 of his breakfast, the other half goes into a treat ball he has to flip around. Working for his food is so much more fun and rewarding than just getting fed in a bowl!

There are infinite options for setup so I'll simply provide what I use:

I have a cambro food container I cook in. Rubbermaid works well but I needed something bigger. I use an IKEA lid organizer to hold my bags in place (this didn't fit in the rubbermaid). I only put foil or lids on the top for extremely long cooks (18-24 hours), you won't lose much water in a basic dinner cook. I have a rubber mat on my counter for hotter cooks to protect it. I also use a vacuum sealer for my food and found that placing a pyrex dish in the water helps keep them from floating. Here are some links to what I have purchased

Looks great! I would recommend something like these to keep your glasses dust-free and give a professional look

Buy a small bar mat!! Super cheap on Amazon in any size you need. You won't need to worry about cleaning up grinds or small spills, and you can set a hot kettle on them.

I clean it every month in my sink (super easy) instead of wiping down my counter every time I make coffee.

I set my filter in my cap, and splash it with hot water to wet it. I don't have to care about pouring too much or missing. My hands go unscalded. This one is $12.50. In a moment of caffeinated inspiration I put a manilla envelope underneath it, that you can't see, but allows it to slide around on my counter because it's grippy on bottom. The mat keeps my setup looking clean and uncluttered because I only keep my daily drivers on it and not my whole collection.

Lol I love the video! Thank you for posting that!

As UnalphabetizedThings said-ive always just chalked this up to part of owning and dog and bought an absorbent mat. My friends with St.B's or other dogs (your size might work) keep bandanas tied around their necks so that it helps catch the drip and they can rub it on their face right after a drink, but still sometimes need to mop the floor.

The best solution I found is to get a bar mat, something like this:

https://smile.amazon.com/BonBon-Professional-Bar-Service-Mat/dp/B06X93XN69/

It looks spiffy and keeps the grounds contained - all you have to do it shake it out over the sink (or dustbust it) once a week or so.

I have always had issues with my produce and after reading some suggestions on here, here is what I did with amazing results. Cut up the lettuce/spinach and put it in the salad spinner. Make sure you do not over pack it. Give it a few really good spins and then shake the spinner up and down to loosen it and spin it the opposite way. Do this a couple of times (less than 3 minutes total for me) and lay it out on a produce drying pad. I turned it over once during the middle of my prepping but by the time I had everything else done my greens were nice and dry.

Here is a link to the type of drying pad I am referring to.

Cambro containers are pretty much gold standard commercial kitchen gear. No staining by food, doesn’t leech chemicals or flavor, and long lasting.

12 qt cambro

corner cut-out lid for 12 qt cambro.

I rest my set-up on one of these dish drying mats to insulate (protect) the stone counter top from heat damage (expansion).

/u/FredWampy, you're totally sorta okay.

All of me, loves all of you

Get a bar mat! Save the countertop! $16 on Amazon for 2

What about a dish drying mat instead?

I got something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Prepara-Deluxe-Dry-Dock-Hygienic-Dish/dp/B00LIP5N4E/

It folds, so you can unfold half of it if you need more room for dishes. If not in use it's easy to move or just place things over it.

Not exactly what you’re looking for (I think), but my machine sits on this silicon mat.

I need this drying towel for my dishes because my dish drainer is disgusting and I would love a different option that isn't going to get all cruddy and gross. :)

Study Sunday!

I second the other comment here. Unfortunately, once a burn happens it's next to impossible to fix it. I suggest buying something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00385WMK0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_KmpgzbATPAZ1T to prevent more markings.

u/purplekelly · 3 pointsr/HomeImprovement

Dish drying mat? They come in various patterns or plain, and you can get two and just toss one in the wash every week or so.

u/pplsuckbridal · 1 pointr/weddingplanning

They’re not always made of rubber. For example Norpro 18 by 16-Inch Microfiber Dish Drying Mat, Gray https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008UFUXEU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_jjfQBb1S09HV2

Currently on sale:

Tebery Black Mat 18" x 12" Rubber Bar Service Spill Mat (2 pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XK6LCG4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_dX0WDbFEDJYPH

u/atomic92 · 2 pointsr/espresso

Got from Amazon. I cut off the nubs from under the grinder because it would twist a little when turning it on. Now it nestles down into the rubber and it’s held in place.
