Kitchen Equipment used.
I used a lot of foodsaver bags for the sole reason I was spending a lot of time and money and didn’t want to risk freezer burn because I was prepping so far in advanced. Food storage first – not including things like Ziploc freezer bags, foil, parchment… and then kitchen equipment:
Foodsaver V4400 2-in-1 Vacuum Sealer Machine with Automatic Bag Detection and Starter Kit | Safety Certified | Black & Silver : Mine is like 9 years old… I don’t know if I would recommend this one exactly had I bought again. I works good.. but the auto bag detection can be finicky… YMMV

FoodSaver B005SIQKR6 Special Value Vacuum Seal Combo Pack 1-8" 4-11" Rolls 36 Pre-Cut Bags, 1Pack, Clear : 1st : I bought at Costco when there was $10 off savings. I know the meal prep community can recommend off brand ones. The premade bags are a time saver so I in the future I would only by those in bulk and keep the rolls for random sized things. I know I know, one time use… but I do wash the bags if I can get a second use out of them / depends what I stored in there / do not use for sous vide

Zojirushi NS-TSC10 5-1/2-Cup (Uncooked) Micom Rice Cooker and Warmer, 1.0-Liter : Mine is 10 years old—so it doesn’t look exactly like this. I won’t be prepping any rice because this is so easy to make:

The rest of the equipment is either old, I don’t like it, or I am preparing to replace with much higher quality. I’m also planning to add an instant pot come black Friday/ Cyber Monday.
it's pasta, but I make beefy mac&cheese - I also buy foil pans and put it in the freezer in one or two serving portions, so I can make it once, and get a half-dozen meals out of it. While it's warming up, I grate whatever cheese is hanging around in the fridge. Once it's warm, put the cheese on it and switch the oven to broil for a few minutes.
Same thing works for stuffed cabbage - just put it in the pans and into the freezer, instead of the last step in the stockpot.
Roasting a chicken is super easy, and a great skill to have. Poke some holes in some potatoes and pop 'em in the oven 1/2 hour before the bird, and steam whatever green veggies are fresh when you're buying the bird to go with it.
For bonus points, buy carrots, celery and onion while you're in the produce aisle. After you've carved the bird and eaten, roughly chop a couple carrots, an onion and three celery ribs and put them in a pan with the carcass. Put that pan in the oven at 375F for 40 minutes or so, then take it all out, and dump it into the biggest pot you have. Cover with water, and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, or put in the oven at ~175-200F for a few hours. Strain it and you've got homemade chicken stock. This'll keep for at least a week or two in the fridge, and months in the freezer. (you can skip the roasting step, you'll get a milder/less deep flavor, which may be better for some uses)
A tub of plain yogurt, a cucumber, a couple cloves of garlic and some oil, vinegar, dill and salt makes tzatziki which is great as dip for veggies and toasted pitas or on roasted meats.
For that matter, Pita bread is pretty easy too, and tastes a lot better than in a plastic bag from the store.
Braised short ribs are also pretty easy, and super-tasty, and at my local market, they always seem to be on sale. In fact, any 'braised' recipe is going to be pretty forgiving, because you're cooking for a long time to break down connective tissue in cheap, flavorful meat.
After the baby is born, I make my friends a bunch of “heat and eat” meals. Basically, I make a giant pan of lasagne or enchiladas and then freeze them into smaller oven safe containers like these Meal Prep Pans
Getting a healthy meal is always low on the priority list in the first few weeks, so these are great to throw in the oven for a quick, hot meal.
You’re a great friend and I can tell you’ll be an awesome uncle! Cheers!
We've been doing this every week for the past few months as well. It heats up nicely in the toaster oven. We use mini loaf pans. Like the link below but we just get ours at the supermarket. We usually do 24 eggs and 12 egg whites. They come out super fluffy. Last time we used Jimmy Dean sage sausage and it was excellent. It's been a lifesaver having breakfast prepared ahead of time.

You do not need to spend a lot of money, a local restaurant supply store will is ideal for most everything from knives to turners, tongs, bottles, containers and anything else you can think of. I prefer plastic handles as they are easier to keep clean, and do not degrade.
For thermometers and digital probes, i prefer thermoworks. I use the smoke and instapen, but you can go with a thermopop if you want to save money. Tried other brands, they always end up having issues after a year or two. digital probes will go bad if left in water or the dish washer always hand clean them and keep them dry.

You can protect the floor by laying down a sheet of plastic like this from Home Depot, or getting interlocking foam pads to cover the area, and then putting puppy sheets on top of that.
Another thing to try would be a different litter box. When kittens are learning, for example, we sometimes use: baking sheets with a small amount of litter, the detached bottom of a cat carrier (so it has an easy to access side, but three protective sides), aluminum pans like these which you can flatten somewhat to adjust the height, etc.
Have you tried changing the litter? Something like Yesterday's News won't stick to her paws as much, too. Or you could try cat attract litter to see if that helps.
If she hasn't had a bowel movement by the end of the day, give your vet a call and see if you need to do anything about it.
I have a few for you that might work

this is a good one to throw in a soup pot while you make something else. Then you can freeze in containers you can nuke or drop into a pot on the stove to warm.

this is so good. and you can make as hot or mild as you like
https://www.copymethat.com/r/87rrsMl/biggest-loser-crock-pot-turkey-chili/
this is great for freezing. the meat is cooked the rest is veggies and cheese etc. so you cook the meat, assemble, freeze and then when ready to bake you pull out and cook. (little tip: I freeze in foil containers that way you don't have to let the glass dish warm before baking. (like these)

another really good crock pot soup that can be frozen and makes a large batch

I don't know if these are available in the UK but perhaps something like this? They're made of aluminum and paper so they're recyclable and pretty cheap (IMO) Whenever my parents send me food from home they'll package them in this type of container!
Bod's Unmodified Monotub TEK suggests using 32qt, 54qt, or 80qt for the mono tub.
from u/c1s2m3 comment you have about 1.75qt of spawn.
i use the 32qt tub, using Bod's tek you need 4-6qt spawn for this sized tub.
when i have less than 4qt of spawn i use food trays or shoe boxes inside my 32 qt unmodified monotubs
i can get two trays in one STERILITE 32 Quart Gasket Box, 4qt of perlite, no liner.
150g dry coco coir, add 750ml boiling water, let cool.
then mix with one qt jar grain spawn, split into two food trays and let get
colonized for 10-14 days.
then uncover put into tub with hydrated perlite with a hydrometer, mist as necessary.
mine are prone to side pinning, but that doesn't bother me one bit.
the cake will shrink, sometimes i flip them and dunk them, others i just bottom or top water depending how what i think it needs.
DOBI Takeout Pans - Disposable Aluminum Foil Take-out Containers with Lids, Small Size (Pack of 50) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MXKDOTB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Dhn2AbWA1CCHB
My mom got a bunch of these for meal prep that she could freeze and they work great. Maybe you can make some easy to thaw and reheat meals for them so they have stuff to eat on those days where they’re so tired they forget their own names.
I got these pans and these lids and they're great so far!
That's a tricky size. Typically you'll need it deeper than the disposables allow for.
I have a glass one taking up real estate for a handful of recipes.

How about something like this size, split the recipe between two pans?

Thank you for posting! I have some of the same questions as you.
I am 34w4d and I am gearing up to start stocking up my freezer. I got these guys from amazon to separate whatever I make into individual portions in case me and my husband want to eat different things, and also to have some variety. They will arrive today, so I can tell you if they seem appropriate for this.
I am thinking of making some lentils, maybe a lasagna, anf a soup. What are you thinking of making?
Even easier than lining a pan with foil, is to use a disposable foil pan: As seen here on Amz for .29 each
If you want to be able to eat a variety of foods, freeze in smaller portions. I got these for soups and stews to freeze in 1-2 serving increments and these for dishes that weren’t cooked yet so they could go straight in the oven.
2/3 loaf disposable pans like these: https://www.amazon.com/93835-Hefty-Foil-x3-25-12-5PKS/dp/B000ZNUFHK
Regular loaf pans are 9 x 5 in. or 8 x 4. These are 3.75 x 5.75. If you don't eat the ends, then this will probably be enough.
Or, bake a full loaf, cut it in half, and freeze half. Bread freezes well.
just found these on amazon. I might pick them up

EDIT: Don't believe price zombie. I found something cheaper.
containers
They should be in baking aisle of any supermarket. Or here
Have you considered these things? Or these?
You don't need to buy a boatload of them, you can find them in smaller packs at a grocery store.

12 weeks pp here - I bought these and just made extra whenever I cooked and froze servings in them. They hold about 1.5 ravenously hungry breastfeeding lady sized portions and you can reheat them in a toaster oven.
Stainless steel seems wayyyyy too expensive for me. If I were looking for something lighter than glass but no made of plastic, I would consider the aluminum containers fast food places use. You can buy them on amazon- 50 containers for the price of one of the steel ones.
