For anyone interested in the frames, I just got some cheap ones on Amazon, but I'm actually pretty happy with how they look.

You can find them here

NOTE: These frames do require decapitating your magazine, since they're for a sheet or two of paper, not an entire magazine.

Another idea would be to print one of her favorite pictures (or better yet use the original) and put it in a frame like this for her and wrap it up. If she hasn't framed any of her work yet, the frame can really help make it feel more serious and valued.

An art set like this isn't the best quality, but if she doesn't have one it's fun to have a big variety of art supplies to work with.

If you’re looking for some frames to put your prints in I suggest these . Good price and fit perfect.

Bullshit. If your three degrees had cost you an extra 90 to get you would have found the money. Go on amazon, search for diploma frames, and buy three. They're as low as $15 each for a decent looking faux wood frame. I don't doubt money may be tight but you are making an excuse. Ask for frames for your next birthday or holiday gift, surely someone you know would pay for a $25 frame.

Stop complaining there's a frame for the two most common sizes and they don't look too bad until you get more money, and any combination of three of them wouldn't cost more than $51 shipped. And that's with 10 seconds of searching.

OK, lets say you need a picture frame and you have an idle, high quality printer. Let's even say the printer is cheap enough that you don't care about the price. A plain 8" x 10" picture frame is likely 9 in^3 in volume and with a 3D printer you are probably printing at 70% dense so lets make it 6.5 in^3 ... current price in materials (ignore electricity, it doesn't really matter) is ~$1 per in^3 so that is pretty cheap at $6.5 ... Less than $3 on Amazon, and is even eligable for prime as an add-on item

How about a diploma frame that has a cutout to incorporate a tassel?

Also, kudos to your girlfriend. If she's that loyal to a pencil, you've got a keeper.

I used MCS frames, they are available at amazon.com for $3 each, and then I printed the posters myself using my HP 3700 color laser printer.

I actually bought the frames from B&H, they were a little more $3.29 each but offered free shipping to Canada.

If you want copies of the poster jpg files let me know, I can put them into a zip file and upload them somewhere.

A certificate is what you would receive for completing a course without completing a full degree program. Trade schools also grant certificates.

Sure, technically the actual paper is the diploma and the degree is the qualification, but I've certainly seen degree used to refer to the actual paper itself. For example, here's a frame for certificates, diplomas, and degrees. I suppose this could be considered a form of metonymy.

Thanks!
The frames are Ikea Nyttja sized 8.5 x 11. $2 in store. link
$10 on Amazon.
The picture shelves are from Ikea too.

Magic cards, when put in 3x3 are a really strange size ~(7.5*10.5). I ordered a six pack of diploma frames, and laid down a layer of black construction paper at the back of the frame. I struggled to figure out how to position the cards perfectly. I eventually used double sided tape to align all the cards on regular printer paper, and then cut all of the excess around the outside by cutting underneath the cards. This allowed me to lay the cards down as a sheet, as opposed to individually, so that I could get them centered. Once they were in the frame, and it was all closed up, the cards stayed still without moving when bumped/due to gravity/etc. I got the cards themselves from a retailer on eBay who sold me all 25 for $20. I could probably get them cheaper from a retailer website, but it was convenient enough for me to forgo the couple bucks I woulda saved.

Hello! I'm actually trying to track down a by-product of photography: frames. For prints and such that I've bought, I became quite fond of MCS Format frames, however their 8.5 x 11 frames are not actually big enough for that size of print, and they didn't respond to my emails, so... I have to shop elsewhere I guess. Problem is I don't like clunky bezels and am having a really tough time finding frames I can order online. Does anyone have suggestions?
