I forgot to mention coconut oil internal or external is good for dry skin and healing the damaged skin, start with lower amounts and work up if eating it.

I usually use one of the dog wipes to wipe him down every time after the walks. They do a good job of getting rid of mud and dirt. Alternatively, a wet towel with one of these no rinse shampoo to wipe him down ! Either way works well while keeping him clean and smelling good !

I recommend trying the buddy bath trick to get them to stop squabbling. This got my very, very bossy older female to cease ALL fighting with her cage mate and with the two new females I adopted last year. After that 1 bath, didn't have a single problem between any of them since.

I would recommend using a shampoo that is safe for guinea pigs to make them smell the same (I used this one) and to completely clean & wipe down their cage to remove scent markings they left. Not guaranteed to work on all piggies, but worth a shot!

You can try a coat shampoo that has UV brighteners in it, which the eye will perceive as whitening the coat, or you can try a shampoo with bluing (careful to not dye your dog blue), which will optically balance the yellow in the coat.

I have no issues with people who spend less. I am just posting to say how quickly things we don't think about can add up. And yes, I plan to run with my dog. He will be out in the elements camping/hiking. He will be wearing gear.

I wash my pup with this shampoo every 3 weeks or so and dry him as well as I can with a towel. He doesn't like hair dryers.

He smells good most of the time from that.

It leaves his fur shiny, soft, and he doesn't scratch at all after he gets a bath with it. He usually gets a bath every few weeks and it's been awesome stuff.

Definitely ordering Ice on Ice. I got a brush spray from isle of dogs but it smells too chemically to me.

My dog has allergies and will lick his feet raw and he scratched a hole in his head once.

We use benadryl, (1mg per lb of dog), twice a day.

You need to use actual Medicated shampoo and sprays. An oatmeal shampoo isn't going to do anything for allergies. You might need to figure out which one works for your dog.

You need to bathe the dog often to remove whatever allergens are on him. Might even need to wash his feet every time he walks through any grass or plants.

No. With their long hair, it takes so long to dry, so I try to avoid it and when I do, I really try to only wash the important bits. They get brushed regularly and I usually incorporate some of this every so often to keep them shiny and fresh.

This. My vet recommends this brand for skin and ear problems. It works for a broad spectrum of problems, so if your dog has a skin issue, you don't have to determine whether it's caused by bacteria, fungus, yeast, etc -- it works for all of them.
