🎓 Reddit experts on eye treatment gels
The comments and opinions expressed on this page are written exclusively by redditors. To provide you with the most relevant data, we sourced opinions from the most knowledgeable Reddit users based the total number of upvotes and downvotes received across comments on subreddits where eye treatment gels are discussed. For your reference and for the sake of transparency, here are the specialists whose opinions mattered the most in our ranking.
First treatment essences with fermented ingredients really help brighten the skin! Also sheet masks in the morning are a great way to add plumpness and growth. I also love these under eye masks that use placenta - instant results! A drop or two of an oil will also really seal in your skin's moisture and reflect light in a flattering way.
I know you said without makeup but a wash of a light shade all over the lid - something that has a sheen to it - is very flattering when you're doing a subtle look. I use a pale pink but another color may work better for you. And then you can wear a tinted lip balm in a shade that makes your lips look really saturated and alive, but still natural.
Personally I haven't found that I don't want to wear makeup now that my skin is looking great consistently, I just am able to have more fun with different approaches depending on the day. Hopefully this helps expand your options :)
Yes I did see noticeable improvement, however it's no miracle cure and I do still have dark circles, just not nearly as dark as they used to be. The SAP serum I'm currently using is TruSkin Vitamin C Serum which I got off Amazon, however I bought this serum before really getting into skincare and therefore bought it because it was convenient and had great reviews, not necessarily because it was the "best" as a result of extensive research :) I think next I will try the Mad Hippie vitamin C serum because that also uses SAP and has the vit C listed much higher on its ingredients.
I will say that I also bought Truskin's Eye Gel and, when used together with their SAP serum, I think gave me the strongest results (like stronger than the SAP serum alone). I'm not 100% on this because it's been awhile since I've used it and I might be mis-remembering, but I wanted to mention it just in case. I do feel like my circles have re-darkened a bit since I stopped use, but that might be due to it being winter or something. I noticed at the time I was using it that the Eye Gel alone without the SAP serum did not nearly give me the results as the Eye Gel with the SAP serum, hence why I repurchased the SAP serum and didn't bother with the Eye Gel (I thought all my results were from the serum... Which they might have been... Ah now I need to repurchase it and test again :P).
By the way, have you ever heard of laser treatments to lessen under eye circles? In my area you can get them for $400 per treatment and it takes 3ish treatments to fully treat. I haven't done it but was seriously considering for awhile. Might be worth it in the long run when you think of all the products you buy looking for the answer. I still might do them.
Also, the BEST cover up for super dark circles is Dermablend Leg and Body Cover. It is meant for covering up bruises and tattoos, so not only is it high-coverage, but is a little orange-y to counteract the bluey-purple of the dark circles. I usually apply a tiny amount just to take the dark out from under my eyes and then put another layer of a better-matching foundation on top. Since it's meant for body wear, it does not wear off throughout the day. I only use it for special events now because my dark circles have gotten better, but back in the day it was my HG for covering these suckers up. It makes it look like you don't even have dark circles.
Hopefully this helps!
I'm a gender-queer guy and I've been trying to make my overall appearance more feminine for the past several months. In general, I'm aiming more for androgynous than blatantly feminine (think women's sneakers and jeans more than heels and dresses), and along those same lines, I'm not really interested in makeup (I don't think) but would like to find a skincare routine that makes my face look as feminine and femininely-pretty as possible.
I have normal skin, maybe slightly oily but I almost never get zits anymore (I'm 31),
My routine right now:
Overall, I've surprisingly been pretty happy with this routine so far, but this has been one of those processes where the more I've learned the more I've realized I don't know, which is what brought me here.
I (thankfully) don't have any notable problems I need to address (dryness, oiliness, etc), but I feel like my skin is a little dull and I want to make it more glowy/luminous/radiant, and basically make it "pop" and say "feminine" a little louder.
What additions or changes to my routine might take me the farthest in that direction? In particular, I'm almost out of moisturizer and want to try a different one (the one I have makes my face a tad oily), and I think I want to add a serum and/or night creme - but I'll be (very, very) receptive to whatever suggestions SCA might have for me.
If the problem is swelling after sleep, I'd recommend a caffeinated eye serum, something with a coffee or tea extract. I currently use MyChelle's Magnolia Fresh Eyes with a great result if I'm very diligent; apply after some of the after-sleep swelling has gone down on its own.
TBH, I'm in the market for a stronger formulation at this point, going to be seeking the wisdom of a wise, older SCA user here soon enough, but for your minor swelling & newbie tolerance for caffeine around the eyes, you'll find Magnolia Fresh Eyes cost effective (a little goes a very long way, & the result is truly impressive if your swelling is edema).
Skin Type: Dry, Sensitive | Country/Climate I'm in: United States, East Coast | Top Skin Concern: Redness and blemishes
Current Routine/Products I'm Using:
AM
Dove Men's Face Wash
Bulldog Moisturizer
Kyoku Radiance Creme
The Face Shop BB Cream (I know this is makeup and not skin care, but figured I'd include it)
elf Makeup Mist
PM
Neutrogina Makeup Remover Towelette
Dove Men's Face Wash
St Ives Oatmeal Scrub + Mask
Lush Mask of Magnaminty (I use this once a week after paintball practice, as it's stronger than the St Ives mask)
Bulldog Moisturizer
Kyoku Uplifting Eye Gel
Hey there, I am a 21 y/o Male that would like some help expanding my simple skincare routine. Not trying to go all out 12-step crazy, but some additional things would be great. I lived in Korea for a while but for some reason, never took advantage of their skin products until I was back in the US. Right now my stuff is mainly Western, but I'm hoping to switch everything to Korean brands. The main problem I'm trying to fix is my BB cream causes slight blemishes and redness after taking it off. I know the obvious answer is to stop using it, but I'm trapped in the perpetual cycle where it makes my face red -> cover it with BB -> it makes my face red, etc. I have a different brand coming in the mail, so I'll see if switching helps. Does anyone recommend either of these boxes from Memebox? They look enticing.

https://us.memebox.com/our-boxes/korean-beauty-starter-kit-v-2-0-beginwithskin#product-tabs
Furthermore, I ordered these two products that I'm waiting for, if it makes a difference:
Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam
Skin Food Black Sugar Mask
Thanks for your help!
I was browsing Amazon and came across an eye gel from a brand I never heard of before, BaeBody (link at bottom). Always looking for a good eye cream for my dark circles and puffiness, it seemed too good to be true! It had 7000+ reviews with a near 5 star rating and it was only about $25. I began looking through their other products and added a hyaluronic acid serum, castor oil for eyelash growth, and a charcoal teeth whitener from them, coming together with the eye gel to make a purchase with a total of $59...not bad. Except then I thought to start researching BaeBody and while there aren't many reviews at all from beauty bloggers, magazine articles, etc. there were a lot of reports indicating the company has skewed, bias, or fake reviews. Should i put this on my skin? I thought I was getting a new, up and coming, inexpensive product based on the thousands of potentially fake reviews. Should I try to cancel my order or has anyone had a positive experience with this company? Thank you so much for your help!! I really appreciate it :)

lol.. I bought few . However I am not sure if they put super urls on the purchase button.
it is like this
http://www.amazon.com/Wrinkle-Cream-Vita-Vibrance-Organic/dp/B00YBID7T8%3FSubscriptionId%3DAKIAI6II4ORQQCHWCS4A%26tag%3Dr3all4kjh32j-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB00YBID7T8
I just pushed it and bought it . ... lol that is so stressful. I think it would help if review trading site can post for reviewers to avoid super url. =( . I wish they do not ban me for this few occasions that happened.
So it's an eye gel, but I love Radha Beauty's Intensive Youth Eye Gel. I have dry skin and eyelids, and I found this really helps keep them hydrated. It takes a couple weeks for you to notice the reduction in under bags as well, but I have noticed a huuuge difference. I absolutely love it.
Wow, what a crappy friend. :(
Not sure how much these products will help, but I use hyaluronic acid on my skin after I wash my face, before I put on moisturizer. I also use eye cream/gel and it seems to help.
Hyaluronic Acid
Baebody Eye Gel
Check out /r/skincareaddiction! They'll be able to help for sure. :)
I have used this one before and it is okay! My favourite are the asian eye masks, such as: Berrisom Placenta Firming Hydro Gel Eye Patch link. The link buys you 60, which is awesome for daily or every other day use. They only have one review on amazon but if you go to other websites (like asian beauty store websites) you can find a lot more reviews. I also like the My Beauty Diary eye masks but they are more expensive :/
After researching a bit online I decided to start using a retinol cream. I'm 25, so I don't have any wrinkles yet, but I still get some acne and I have heard retinol creams can be good for that.
I use a plain untreated konjac sponge with a foaming cleanser from Beyond (a Korean brand) and an oil cleanser (also from Beyond) to wash my face twice a day. During the day I use Beyond Aqua BB Cream with SPF 30 (this is one of the only Korean brands that I have found to be cruelty free, so I use a lot of their stuff, haha.) Most of my other makeup is Kat Von D and Physicians Formula from the US if that makes a difference. I use mud masks and sheet masks off and on.
I have been using this retinol cream from Lilyana Naturals on my face and it tingled the first few times I used it, but I haven't encountered any peeling issues and after using it for 9 weeks, and my face looks really nice. Some of my acne seems to be clearing up and when I wake up my skin is firm and smooth, not oily. Since I have had such good luck with the first cream, I decided that maybe I needed a dedicated eye cream, so I randomly picked this one up at a department store. The first time I used it IT BURNED. It wasn't just a tingle, it really felt unpleasant. I washed it off and put a cloth under eye treatment on that I had lying around to soothe my skin.
Now, you guys might think this is stupid, but about a week later I decided to try using it a few more times since I have heard retinol creams can burn and I don't really like throwing away products. In the morning after using it, the circles under my eyes are nice, not red, very smooth. It still hurts when I apply it, so I'm wondering if this is supposed to happen. I have used the other cream in the same under eye area without any burning. It seems obvious that I should stop using the under eye cream and just use the original Lilyana Retinol cream that I purchased from Amazon all over my face, but I still want to know if the burning is normal. It doesn't seem like I am allergic since I haven't encountered any redness or bumps from the cream. I just don't know if it's one of those magical things like glycolic masks or garlic masks that are kind of supposed to sting, or if something very bad is happening that warrants throwing the bottle out.
Anyway, I hope this question isn't too stupid. Thank you in advance to anyone who can answer, and I hope I gave enough information.
I like Mediheal NMF Aquaring Gel Eye Mask. It probably won't do much for your dark circles. But I found it very cooling so that might help your puffiness. Its a gel eyepatch which I love and its pretty hydrating. I was crying a lot a couple of days ago and slapped some on. Prevented my eyes from looking like someone punched me in the face next morning lol. I got some at Marshalls for less than 10 bucks! Amazon Link here
For just a cream, I love the crap out of this stuff — good ingredients, lasting hydration.
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06WD59X4B?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_yo_pop_mb_pd_t2
For physical masks, these are $14 right now:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00QV190SU?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title
They’re pretty decent, and work better on top of other products they can help trap in. They are amazing when kept in the fridge.
So I've been on spironolactone for about a month, and birth control for the last four. I don't get the acne I once did (mostly cystic) but the hormonal stuff around my jaw still hasn't completely gone away.

Here's my routine, folks:
------------------------------
Morning:
Cerave hydrating micellar water
Rinse
LaCura hydrating facial cleanser
Rinse and pat dry
Ponds correcting cream (just started this)
Cerave daily moisturizing lotion
Biore UV Perfect Face Milk SPF50+, PA++++ (but since I now know this has alcohol in it, I will be switching to La Roche-Posay's ultra-light fluid SPF 60 when it gets in)
------------------------------
Night:
Same as morning minus sunscreen
Baebody eye gel
Cerave skin renewing night cream
------------------------------
For the last couple months I have been using TO's AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution once a month for roughly ten minutes. Then I follow with my night routine minus the micellar water.
Do I need more exfoliation? Is there a serum I am missing? I drink water all day long! PLEASE HALP. Nothing seems to make my skin more even.
I have dark circles genetically - no amount of sleep or changing diet will help me - this product is the only thing Ive found that helps. I use it consistently twice a day. Do be careful to not put it on areas that do not need lightened. Watch for sales on Amazon. Not every product works for every person.
Good luck!

Personally I use and love Kyoku eye fuel http://www.amazon.com/Kyoku-Men-Fuel-Fluid-Ounce/dp/B004ALIOZ8 definitely helps me avoid looking hungover. Have gotten compliments that I looked awake from folks I was drinking with the night before!
Sure here are links to the three that have worked best for me, I use the masque on sundays and the pore refining cleanser a few times a week. the eye fuel everyday.

How muhc is Skyn Iceland where you live? It's not too pricey in Canada but there are several things I'm dying to try out after really digging a set of hydro cooling eye gels I got in a beauty box. For example a box of the eye gels is $21.88 on Amazon.ca
That's a super url. You only want this part: http://www.amazon.com/Wrinkle-Cream-Vita-Vibrance-Organic/dp/B00YBID7T8
You should be okay if it was only a couple times though.
neutrogena and roc both make good, fairly inexpensive retinol eye creams. I just started using hyaluronic acid myself so don't have much basis for comparison but I've been using this for a few weeks and it's definitely made a difference.
My eyes were like this when I had a baby, my lashes lady (I get extensions) puts these cool patches on my eyes during fills and told me to take powdered collagen in my coffee-they didn’t completely go away but are less noticeable.
skyn ICELAND Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels, 8 count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004FH8NAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_V8TtDbV5009BY
Well it's not AB but this has been given 4.5 stars on amazon by more than a thousand people.
Edit: I also bought it for my dad and he says it's working.
Has anybody tried the following amazon product?
https://www.amazon.com/Baebody-Cream-Circles-Puffiness-Wrinkles/dp/B01K2UMMI0/ref=sr_1_4_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1480275688&sr=1-4&keywords=dark+circles+under+eyes
I've been using Radha Plant Stem Cell cream and like it. I've tried a couple of other ones for under eye bags/puffiness but so far have only noticed a different with Radha!
Not AB, but I have actually noticed a difference with this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K2UMMI0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

What's your opinion of these three very popular products? (skin moisturizers, eye repair).
I have terrible dark circles under my eyes. I also have very sensitive skin that can get red.
