Oh bananas!!! You're so freaking sweet!!! I'm so happy you chatted with all of us last night, it was so fun!

Here are my go to's in my collection (Also, all Korean cosmetic links are to BeautynetKorea (where the shipping is free) or RoseRoseShop (where it's cheap), and all others are from Amazon. But shop around before ordering just in case!):

  • Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever primer OR Too Faced Primed and Poreless primer - Both primers are wonderful and really help even out my skin tone! I feel that Etude House minimizes my pores better, but the Too Faced primer is pigmented, so it offers more coverage. Both are matte when you put them on!

  • Nature Republic's By Flower BB Cream - I LOVE THIS STUFF. Hands down it's my Holy Grail BB. It was a perfect color match for me, evened out my skin tone, and didn't melt away during the day! It had some great staying power and smelled nice and light as well. I have an oily t-zone, and it really stayed quite nicely compared to my other makeup! For reference, I used shade 2 for mine, and I'm an N5 in MAC Studio Fix powder.

  • Tarte Amazonian Clay powder blush in Dollface OR MAC powder blush in Fleur Power - Both of these blushes are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES. They're both kind of pinky colors, with Dollface being more of a "Barbie pink" with blue undertones, and Fleur Power a bit more "dusty rose". They both go on so naturally and beautiful, and have wonderful saying power. (Though be careful with Tarte's, if you have a heavy hand it might go on waaay too much, haha!)

  • Tarte Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder - This is my holy grail item, no question about it. This powder really mattifies my oily face and helps my makeup last so much longer before the first signs of shine appear. I can even dust it on halfway through the day to re-mattify everything!

  • Covergirl Lineblast 24 hour liquid eyeliner - This is my favorite liquid liner I've tried! The applicator is nice and small, so it's easy to maneuver and SO much easier to make winged liner than a brush. It stays all day long, too!

  • Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara - This mascara makes my lashes stand out, look natural, and it helps keep the volume all day as well!

  • Tonymoly Petit Bunny Gloss Bar in Neon Orange - The bar is nice and lightly orange scented, and adds just enough orange tint to your lips to make them pop! On me personally, the orange kind of mixes with my natural lip color and gives them more of a natural coral color.

  • MAC lipstick in Mocha - This is my "perfect for every outfit" lipstick. It looks great when I dress up, and can give more of a polished look for my day to day as well!

  • Tarte Matte Lipsurgence in Exposed - It's a very similar color to MAC Mocha, but this has a matte finish! Plus is makes my lips tingly and almost minty when I put it on!

  • NYX Matte Lipstick in Perfect Red - Straight up, this is my perfect red. It has cooler/ more blue undertones than most other reds I've tried, and it looks absolutely beautiful!

  • Nivea Lip Butter - I wear this stuff religiously when I go to bed, it's perfect for moisturizing my lips at night so they're soft the next day! Also, it gives a cute shine if I don't feel like wearing any colored lip product during the day.

Shoot, I hope that wasn't too much, I just have a lot of favorites!! xD

Yeah, of course! Make-up has been a huge passion of mine, even when I was pre-transition (back then I just kept it to BB Cream tho). So to start, I'd recommend getting brushes and a beauty blending sponge. These are going to be your best friend when applying different foundations, highlights, eye shadow, basically everything. I start my make-up process by washing my face, then applying toner, and some light moisturizer.

Then I start by applying my color corrector for under my eye to rid of the dark circles. If you still have a shadow on your lip and chin, then go with an orange color corrector specifically for those problem shadow areas. This will neutralize the purple color and make your shadow go goodbye~. Apply the color corrector, then blend them out with the blending sponge by lightly tapping it on your skin.

After that, you apply the foundation. To find the right color, go into places like Ulta or Sephora where you can see what tone your skin is. I personally use IT CC Cream as a base foundation. For this, I use a foundation brush to apply it on my face. Do not overdue the foundation as it can look really caked on and artificial if you use too much. Don't forget to a little bit to your neck so that there isn't a lot of contrast between your face and neck. Avoid getting foundation on your eyelids as well, that's for your eye shadow and eyeliner and applying it on your eyelids can make them melt faster.

This is super optional and it just depends on the thickness of your brows but I use brow dip to create a better shape for my eyebrows. I do this for my eyebrows because even tho they are still good in color and thickness, there are some areas where they can be filled in and make a nicer overall look. I would recommend a eyebrow pencil when you first start off that matches your hair color. If you feel adventurous, you can use a brow dip like I do for a more deeper and stronger eyebrow look. Dip-brow is really nice but its easy to screw up so be careful, when I first started using it, I would apply too much and accidentally make my brows look more masculine then they already are.

Next comes the primer and eye shadow, this is where most of the fun is and where experimentation mostly happens for me. The eye shadow primer is important so that your eye shadow stays on for most of the day and it typically is a liquid so just rub that with your fingers on your eye lids and a little under the eye. I use I use Juvia's The Nubian eye shadow palette, it has more natural colors and some reds and golds that are less dramatic compared to other colors. Basically, this palette is perfect for beginners not looking for a super out there look. I would recommend looking at YouTube tutorials for the application of both eye shadow and eyeliner because there are different ways to do so and it would take me a little longer to explain the process TuT. The best eye liner for a good price I've found is from Maybeline. This one in particular doesn't smudge as much as others and is the cheaper option when practicing eyeliner.

After that is done, it's the small things I do. I apply a little powder on my face with a focus on my cheeks, nose, and forehead so that I don't look too oily and gross. Sometimes I add some pink blush to my cheekbones if it compliments my eye shadow. Next I apply some highlighter over my cheekbones, tip of the nose, and on the top cupids bow of your lip. The highlighter should be very light as applying too much will make you shine and glisten as if you look super oily. Just a touch is good enough in most cases with makeup unless you are going for a more dramatic effect. And finally, I apply a small thing of lip stick/gloss/stain to really make everything pop and cute. I like lip stain the best because I feel it lasts the longest out of the three and you can have different shades off of one bottle by simply not applying as much lip stain initially or by wiping some excess off with a tissue.

Remember that makeup takes some practice so don't get discouraged if you screw anything up, especially eyeliner as it takes a steady hand. Also, if your looking for an everyday easy look, just stick to the color correction, foundation, and lipstick. I do this look sometimes as doing the whole process can sometimes take me 20 minutes while the quick method can only take 5 minutes from my day.

I'm glad i was able to inspire you!

My go to products:

Cleansers/removers:
I have weird cimbo skin too if i treat my acne i get red and weird. If i moisturize i get acne.
I have found that alternating between st. Ives blemish control apricot scrub and garnier's moisture rescue cleansing foam keeps my skin from getting oily or acne ridden.

Makeup remover:
I love love love almay's oil free makeup remover pads.

Moisturizer: garnier moisture rescue for normal to combo. It is super moisurizing, smells nice and is cheap. Its also a dupe for clinique's moisture surge moisturizer.

Lip balm:
I love nivea's lip balm tubes specifically their kiss of vitamin swirl. It keeps my lips moisturized and applied over lip products it gives a glossy sheen that is long lasting, not drying and not sticky!

I also use soft lips- any of the clear ones as a sort of primer for preventing lip products from drying out.

Brushes: i don't know if you have a Meijer by you, but i have the Studio M brush line set and it is similar to EcoTools in quality but much cheaper. I love them! As far as i know they are only available at Meijer though.

Primers:
For eyeshadow i like to use elf's studio primer, but if you can afford it, go with urban decay's. And for my face i use loreal's magic perfecting base. I find that it fills my pores and keeps me from getting oily throughout the day.

Face:
I love loreal's true match collection! I have a really hard time finding face makeup as well and discovering this line was revolutionary. I use their concealer and liquid foundation currently.

I also love rimmel's match perfection 2 in 1 concealer and highlighter for my under eye circles, as well as their stay matte powder for all over face application.

Lips: I love lip crayons! When i use tube lipstick i sometimes get outside the lines, and the kid in me gravitated to crayons. I am lusting after nyx's collection, but i am currently using Ulta's collection. They are usually more expensive than Nyx's but are currently on sale in stores and online for $2! I have found that rumors is a good neutral shade, daredevil is a bold red, and fashionista is a nice bold pink.

Eyebrows:
I currently am using rimmel's professional eyebrow pencil and love it.

Shadow:
I am currently using sephora's brown eyes pro lesson pallette and it changed my life-really.

Liner:
I use ulta's precision liquid eye liner (the marker) to get the shape i want (and for everyday) and sometimes top with nyx's studio liquid liner for it's long lasting power.

For kohl/colored liners i love the sephora collection line, especially the nanos.

Mascara:
For everyday use i use maybeline falsies. I also sometimes layer with rimmel's lycra lash extender.

I hope this all helps! Added Links!

Hello fellow makeupaddictioner!! I'm OBSESSED with makeup and hair so you're in luck, lol!

First things first: Makeup!
For a very natural, professional, and simple makeup look these are my go to essentials:

  • foundation any type that suits your fancy! My personal favorite is Bare Minerals because it gives a super matte, flawless finish that looks like your skin with minimal effort. I literally just dip my brush in, dust off the excess and swipe that bitch on my face...lol

  • concealer only if you need it/have time. I only do it half the time...lol

  • bronzer I use this just to warm up my face after I apply foundation. Sometimes when you apply foundation it can cause your face to look very flat and one dimensional. Applying bronzer to all of the areas that would naturally get sunlight gives your face depth and dimension.

  • Simple Neutral Eyeshadow No need to get fancy here just a simple neutral eyeshadow will do the trick :) I don't even use multiple colors just one color I like.

  • Blush I apply just a small amount on the apples of my cheeks. My personal favorite is Elf blush in Berry Merry.

  • Mascara I'm sure you know all about mascara!

  • Chapstick I like to use chapstick rather than an actual color when I'm going with a no makeup makeup look.

I think these essentials are perfect for the professional world. The makeup isn't overbearing and it gives you the appearance that all you had to do was wake up and wash your face... that you woke up flawless which I think is infinitely more effective/professional/approachable than piling on tons of makeup.

    Here are some links:

  • Foundation

  • Concealer

  • Bronzer

  • Eyeshadow

  • Blush

  • Mascara

  • Chapstick

Also, here is a tutorial! I really like her and it's very simple and something I would do everyday not just for traveling :)

Now onto Hair... Are you still with me?? lol.

Here are my three favorite "Professional" hairstyles:

  • The Sock Bun

  • The Chignon

  • Ponytail

I think all of these hairstyles will work great with thin hair! Especially the Chignon and the Ponytail!

Here are the tutorials (All for thin hair):

  • The Sock Bun

  • The Chignon

  • Ponytail

I hope you found this really helpful! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask :) I love helping!!

    Bonus - Hair Accessories:

  • Sock Bun Helper

  • Hair Cuff

  • Headband

  • Another Headband

  • Peacock Barrette

    The End! lol :)

    Edit: I'm bad at words.

u/howbadcanIbe · 2 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

Are you wearing makeup in that picture?

Also, if you have a Walgreen's, they take returns up to 30 days after purchase date with a receipt, no questions asked.
L'oreal is a little more expensive as far as drugstore brands go, but it's my favorite and is what I use when I do a full face. It's super dooper easy to find your shade, too.

L'Oreal True Match Super-blendable in W3 is what I mix with the L'Oreal True Match Lumi in W6. I mix them for two reasons;

  • I tan so my coloring may change.

    and

  • The Lumi gives a little bit of a dewy look without looking oily, whereas if I wore just the Super Blendable, I look dull...and like I tan too much. It just looks ...way off lol

Then I use L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable pressed powder.

A tip I haven't shared yet, and may make me odd...but I do the pressed powder after bronzer for contour and after blush and highlighter, and then just blend, blend, blend.

My favorite brush is a stippling brush. I just started using it about 4 months or so ago, bought it 6 months ago lol This tutorial really helped me with it. I love Marlena! She taught me brows too ;)

For blush, I am in love with Cover Girl Cheekers. I don't use it anymore cuz I've moved on to other stuff...but you said inexpensive. And it is. Especially at Walgreen's where they OFTEN do BOGO 1/2 off.

I will use white shadow for a highlighter when paler and a light gold or pinkish irridescent gold when I'm tan.

    Make up for rosie.

(Part 2/2)

Face:

Foundation - Nars, Giorgio Armani, L'Oreal, and Elf cosmetics (Elf is one of the cheapest and best drugstore foundation out there!) have really good ones!!! ...If you want something that makes you glow, get a sheer coverage foundation ...apply primer under and then some liquid highlight before applying the foundation - trust me, you will glow!!!

Concealer - Nars is the best or you can even try another drugstore holy grail that is cheaper by Maybelline to hide scars, breakouts or dark circles.

Blush - Milani has some really good blushes! So does Sephora brand or Makeup Forever.

Highlighter - this will definitely make you glow whenever the light touches your face!!!! Hahah, MAC and Anastasia Beverley Hills has amazing highlights. Wet N Wild also has very cheap highlights for like $3-5 that are blindingly glowing if you spray some MAC fix plus on your brush and then go in with the highlighter!

Makeup tools:

Really good to have some starter ones to practice with and they make your makeup look better + you waste less makeup.

Elf cosmetics and Real Techniques has some amazing starter brushes... the eyeshadow brush set and the face brush set by Real Techniques is really good for the low price you make for it!

Perfume: Definitely go to Sephora and try out every one of them (sometimes Amazon has sales on luxury perfumes for less!).

Fashion: ASOS, Forever 21, Mango & Target has some really cute pieces of clothing. Check Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration!!! :)

Other: Get the men's Gillette razor has the other person mentioned!!! It is bomb! Haha... I use conditioner or coconut oil down there when I shave.... it's better than shaving cream and it prevents the itching and stuff! lol For legs, I use Nair Hair Remover Lotion (Amazon usually sells 3 a pack for like $15 - really cheap!!!) or Gilette shaving cream for women! Also, don't do this always ...it can damage your teeth, but once in awhile, it won't hurt your teeth... take baking soda and water, make a paste and brush your teeth with it... your teeth will have that instant whitening effect. Don't do this always, but you can definitely do this when you do to those fancy occasions and you gotta make your teeth look sparkling white! lol, works like a charm! :)

Hope that helps!

I'm so sorry to hear that! Hope you get your meds and feel better soon!

Currently, I'm wishing for:

Becca's Eye Tint in Baroque. Seems like the perfect everyday wash of color. Have been wishing for it since I saw Lisa Eldridge use it in one of her videos. Looks so lovely and easy to use.

Josie Maran Hydrating Powder. Has really great reviews and other powders really dry me out. Seems to be something that would go great over my Josie Maran tinted moisturizer.

Buxom Full On Lipstick in Barcelona. Have another color from this lipstick range and it's SO GREAT. Very easy to apply and stays put without being too drying. I've always had trouble applying reds perfectly and this pencil lipstick might just be my HG lipstick.

Thanks for hosting!

u/Celebutaunt · 2 pointsr/amiugly

You've got a cute face, but it seems like the extra weight you're carrying could be the cause of your weak chin anxieties. Once you've lost that your jawline will look a lot more defined and masculine, so good luck on your regiment. If you need any help, I'm sure the lovely folks at r/loseit and r/fitness will be delighted to help. I have a feeling that once you've dropped the extra poundage you'll be a hottie.

I'm not gonna judge your hair, since it seems like you normally do style it, although I'm very interested in what your haircut will look like. Also:

> I also know my skin looks rather greasy. It seems to be a perpetual condition.

Easily fixable. Go buy translucent powder and/or blotting sheets (here's a vid on how to make your own), and reapply periodically throughout the day. You may feel a bit girly, this sort of stuff isn't just for women nowadays. :)

u/tryin4anon · 2 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

I use the Monistat chafing gel as a primer all over, and then on top of that (I don't need a lot of concealer and will save it for when I want a little more but not a full face; same goes for contouring and brows - brows are important for a clean look and I like to do the brow filling and brushing and then use a concealer along the bottom edge to make a sharp look...check out this tutorial) I use the garnier bb cream as it's more of a fuller coverage than other bb's I've used (which aren't many...yet). Then I do a cream blush, and all over I use this powder
For highlighting
then when I'm all done I use this spray. The spray is a must for me. always.

It takes me only 5-10 minutes now that I've got it down.

For a full face, the best way I have figured out to get the flawless face, is to do the primer I mentioned, then concealers under eyes and on blemishes, a bb cream, then foundation applied with a kabuki brush and using stippling methods, found here

Hope that helps

I post this picture a lot, but its because it's my most favorite picture of any of my animals ever. This is my cat, Kitten wearing my dog's jacket. He's totally rocking it I think.

I got Kitten when he was about three weeks old when I worked in the grooming salon at Petco. A lady brought in a litter of kittens around eight at night and said that she had to get rid of them or her husband wanted to kill them. So of course we took them from her and when I wondered over to see the kittens, I HAD to take one home. So I ended up with Kitten and bottle fed him and hand raised him. He's almost four years old now and I like to make him do ridiculous things like wear coats. He's also super fat and fluffy and I love him so much. He likes to pretend he's independent and stuff, but he sleeps on my bed every night. <3

I would really love this finishing powder :D

Hi, nice initiative and thanks for your time. I'd like to know if I use the right products and if I'm doing everything properly.

Using this mapping for reference.

Always have acne around 5 & 9, mild acne at 1 & 2. During breakouts also between 4 - 6 and 10 - 8 and the acne at 1 & 2 gets a bit more noticeable. Acne nowhere else on my body. Acne in general is not that severe in my opinion. But that's just my opinion. :)

Male Indian generally dry/combined skin, have had Acne since the age of 16, currently 22. After the shower my skin screams for moisturizing, which is why I believe I have dry skin. I shower twice a day normal temperature, sometimes cold showers, and I avoid getting my face wet under the shower.

Diet: Eat pretty much anything. Generally healthy things tho, also go to the gym 5 days a week. Like every other Asian family: Rice + meat + veggies lol.

This is my skincare routine:

  1. Cleanse everyday twice.
  2. Exfoliate twice a week on seperate days, Wednesday and Friday.
  3. Mask once a week, Sunday
  4. Apply toner
  5. Apply moisturizing serum
  6. Apply Eye moisturizer
  7. Apply moisturizing creme
  8. Apply moisturizing oil
  9. Apply sunscreen
  10. Apply primer/foundation/concealer/powder.

  11. Use an ointment my general practitioner prescribed, it's called: "Differin Gel". I use this everyday before I go to sleep.

By the way if you know anything about make-up, which I assume you do. I have very dark under eye circles, any way to make it the same tone as my face skin color? It's the thing that annoys me the most, and the women in the make-up shop never take me seriously when I ask for advice lol.
u/glaceauglaceau · 2 pointsr/brownbeauty

Sacha Buttercup would work, I'm NC44 in the winter, NC45 in the summer and it worked well on me. The texture of it is odd and hard to describe - it feels denser/heavier than most other powders and is VERY richly colored. The yellow cast it gave me was so intense my husband would comment on it, so I stopped using it. Unless you're super yellow toned you have to be careful with it to use a very light hand.

I have since tried Ben Nye Banana Powder, W7 Banana Dreams powder which seems to be a dupe for the Ben Nye, and Ben Nye Topaz powder. The banana shade (of any powder) seems to be ideal for our skintone under the eyes. I have to mix the Ben Nye Banana powder with the Topaz and it makes a perfect all over the face setting powder.

u/ponytailnoshushu · 12 pointsr/AsianBeauty

I use this one too but it has recently been reformulated and people say it's not as good as before. I'm still on an old bottle and I love the matte finish it gives. I also like the privacy sunscreen powder (amazon.jp), it's good for a mid-day touch up and has the bonus of taming any oily breakthroughs.

u/The_jellyfish_ · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

All of these commenters have great suggestions on how to prevent the shine! However, I'd like to add that a translucent powder pat on in the morning would help control the shine throughout the day and help it from being so intense. Etude House No Sebum has great reviews, and Skinfood's Peach Sake Powder is the product I currently use in the mornings, even on days where I wear no makeup, because it keeps my skin from getting super shiny and oily.

u/trawlinimnottrawlin · 1 pointr/sousvide

Hey, love your post! In case you wanted a different solution:

I had the worst smelling feet, I swapped shoes every day, baby powder, washed my feet VIGOROUSLY every day, no use. Eventually stumbled upon a product called On Your Toes (check amazon). Incredibly effective yet pricey. Then found out that stuff is just zinc oxide, and bought a huge bag of it on amazon for like 10 bucks. I like... don't even have anxiety about it anymore because I'm just so certain my feet don't smell anymore. Good luck!

I'm going to be a junior in high school this fall, and I am NOT looking toward to it. I'm interested in makeup, and I also play the cello! I like Harry Potter too, but I'm not a die-hard fan.

item and thanks for the contest!

I like the Dermablend setting powder. I use the translucent, and haven’t had any flashback in any of my photos, but you could also use the cool beige if you’re using bright lighting.

I just spray it and go my merry way! I’m almost finished with my first one. I also bought the powder version and i use that one on top of my sunscreen in the morning sometimes too but my reapplication is always the mist.

I don't have this issue, but a friend of mine is excessively oily so any product melts on her. She starts off with a proper moisturizer and let's it sink in. Then she uses the MUFE mattifying primer and then puts on a powder. I'm not sure which step she does first but I think it's primer before powder and I don't remember the name of the powder she is using, but it's similar to this:

Then she puts on her foundation. And she will lightly go over it with the powder again. She still gets some shine later on but not the melting and mess she used to have.

I would buy some zinc oxide powder. It's naturally antibacterial. This is the one I bought.

Just sprinkle some in your shoes. It'll make your socks white for the first few times you wear your shoes, but it goes away after a while. The sneaker smell has gone away in all my shoes.

Nyx silica powder is HG makeup status for me. I've really calmed down my oiliness through the tips on this sub but this is absolutely the only thing that keeps me matte throughout the day. I'll drive ridiculously far out of my way to find a drugstore that sells it

I am extremely frustrated by elf and its quality, sorry! The following is what i do when lazy but gotta head to work.

Suck it, redness and under eye circles and various discolored skin!

I get this at whole foods for like 14 usually. i know its not like the drugstore but i find this is great bang for buck

and the invisible powder to set here. I hear elf is making their brushes vegan soon so grab their kubuki brush, its like 4 bucks.

Sorry your gear got jacked, this should help keep you from being asked if you are tired all day;) My makeup tacklebox is more high end pro stuff thats vegan like Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics but the cheap shit gets you through the day fine:D
