This is something I need. I went to Cuba 1 week ago and so everything we took to wear and use we left to our family. Not much however they need and enjoy what we bring. I left my sandals to my aunt who asked for them. I now have to sandals :( I am a bit picky too because all the ones sold in stores have a fat thing for in between the toes that hurts me so I always get them online with the soft fabric instead.
This book is actually not even out yet but it is the highest on priorities for me :) Simply because this series is the best in the world to me. I can't wait till it comes out!

I just bought these Lucky Aubree Sandals. I love them! The footbed is a little hard but the straps hug my feet comfortably.

I'm having a hard time answering that cause I don't think my feet would be comfortable for a day of walking in these shoes as they are right now. I've only started wearing these shoes like two days ago too so I think it's still a bit too early to tell. Disclaimer, I'm very used to very soft leather straps versus the stiffer canvas straps that Tevas have. If you have time, I really recommend wearing them around the house and getting a feel for them.
If you don't have time, I recommend Born sandals. I have this one, specifically, that's my summer workhorse. I found it very comfortable out the box and I took it with me on vacation shortly after buying it.

They're very comfortable, which is my main priority since you will probably not see the shoes anyway. They don't move around on my foot, and I plan to put gaffer tape or something temporary on the bottom so I can dance.

Never heard of cheese cloth, that’s very interesting. In super hot summer, if I decide to go with flip flops, I usually go for two types of flipflops:
Bamboo ones fall apart after 2 months for me, but they are usually cheap so I just get a few for the whole summer. Might be worth a try until you find the cheese cloth again...

I know my opinion won't be popular but I can walk all day, every day, all summer in any of the "anatomic" flip-flops from Gisele's Ipanema line. The inner sole is really shaped to support your feet. I have never seen them here in Canada but I am usually able to find them in major European cities and resort towns, and I've also bought a few pairs in Mexico. It seems they're available on Amazon as well.

What about some yoga flip-flops? I'm coveting a pair for myself this summer; I've heard really good things... They even have a gladiator/tie option. It doesn't look like they come in different widths, but never having had narrow feet myself, I honestly don't know how much that matters with sandals!

Here is what happened. When you search "leather", yasiv searched the same on amazon. It found this product: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FC4EZAU
It's the same sandal which appears first if you search "leather" on amazon, in shoes category.
After that Yasiv tried to pull information from Amazon about "Customers who bought this sandal, also bought", but Amazon does not have it for this sandal. Neither does Amazon give information about "Customers who viewed this sandal also viewed" via programming interface. Thus yasiv cannot show anything.
Sorry about that! It usually works well for products which has information about 'also bought' part.
