If you don't, it is not worth it.
Don't overthink it brah! This isn't an MBA program. Buy a wavestorm (comes with a lifetime warranty) and this suit. Your total investment would be ~$334 . You can surf year round here in the bay area, you just get bigger waves in the winter which is why it is considered the prime season.

I have this wetsuit, it keeps me warm down to low/mid 40°'s with hooded vest and 5mm boots/gloves. So along with boots/gloves/hood it can get kinda expensive. Look for sales or on whiskeymilitia.com
