Canoe, boat; thing that keeps me dry and on top of the water. A canoe is exactly what I'm looking for and would be perfect for poling up and down the rivers here. It's spring so finding them used and not half the state away from me is proving difficult. I'd love a nice 17 foot aluminum one but I'm thinking I might buy something more like this new since I can't find anything used, local, and for less than that. I might pull the trigger on this later today. Maybe. It's a little shorter than I'd like but that would make managing it a little easier on my own.

It'd be a lot easier to buy it if I could sell a few pieces of driftwood first, since right now I'm also trying to get a high tech 125 going and have to buy an almost $400 3d background before I put water in my tank. See any stumps in the image gallery you'd like me to go take a few pieces off? Or would you be in the market for some driftwood later this month? If I could make a little money back either before or soon after buying it my life would be a lot easier.

Edit: Hundred bucks cheaper on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Sun-Dolphin-Canoe-15-6-Feet-Green/dp/B002GO0KNA?ie=UTF8&colid=&coliid=&redirect=true&smid=

Found one cheaper here.

You might have to saw it down a bit, depending on the size of your kitchen, but it should be equally effective at cutting pizza. And you save like $460!

weren't they just sevylor inflatable Kayaks? I have 2 - great fun (but you need the optional skeg)

Old town Next. I have one and it's really comfortable but I honestly prefer the old town discovery.

That looks solid AF. But it also looks bigger than what I need. I am looking at that brand, though..

Edit: thanks again for your comment. I think you convinced me

My wife has been using this one for a couple of years, still holding up

I was using this one for a while - it's nice in that it folds and easy to pack.

Well, this is where they will get you. Those freaking things are expensive. I would recommend ordering one online. This is the one I bought

It works but I am planning on getting a better one. If you plan on spending many hours on it I would highly suggest you invest in a real quality one. West Marine doesn't carry many different types in store.

Let me know what you think after you check it out.

Consider this: it's not an upgrade, it's a fancy seat and a GPS holder. The Dirigo and the Camden are nearly the same boat. They serve the same waters, and the Camden doesn't really come with extra cargo space.

Consider a half skirt if you just want a place to put things. And a seat pad to keep your butt comfy.

Old Town used to make a Cayuga, which would be an upgrade on your current boat, but they no longer make it from what I understand. I have a Old Town Casco 120 (the predecessor to the Dirigo, or maybe the Camden) and, honestly, unless you move to a light touring boat not much of it's equivalent will be an "upgrade".

I was thinking something like this one, but maybe something lighter.

If you have a compartment to put the things in, inflated camping water bags are fine ~$2

Otherwise you are looking at specialized ones ~$50

I found these. Bendy and bolt on. and these.

Stearns Back Country Inflatable Two-Person Canoe (Green, 11- Feet6- Inch x 39- Inch - 39 Lbs.) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000NVDFYY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_MK6xzbEJC9D3W thats it on amazon. Got mine second hand from ebay three years ago and its still going strong. The canvas-ie material the air bladders sit in seems really tough, ive scraped against rocks/dragged it over rough ground a bunch of times to no ill effect 💪🏻 Only downside is it steers like a barge with two people in it and its kind of tricky to tandem paddle, so you tend to end up just ferrying your partner about in it if thats what you get it for 😛

Gel pad seat works well, I used one after a hip injury. https://www.amazon.com/Yakpads-PS-BLK-Gel-filled-Paddle-Saddle/dp/B000PZRUC6

45 bucks and now I can sit all day with no problem.

This is when it was shiny and new.
