I love this brand, usually buy it from an herbal shoppe in a little hippie town near me but it's on Amazon apparently :)

Real ginger is better for you, obviously, but this stuff is delicious and it usually gets rid of my nausea:

"Ginger Root" = Candied ginger. Works great!

I was going to mention that ginger does the same thing, looks like someone beat me to it. Near me, the big grocery stores and Asian markets have ginger candies, which might be more palatable than raw ginger (or not, tastes vary). I'll often have one before a test or if I have a migraine. Here they are in bulk on Amazon. Also, peppermint tea.

I have these, usually takes just one to take the "edge" off. However, you'll get used to movement like that if you go little by little. https://www.amazon.com/Ginger-People-Super-Strength-Candy/dp/B00U9WRXYA?th=1

I have the double-strength but these have more ginger and seem cheaper at this moment. You get like 150 of them.

Ginger Chews. They are great for fighting nausea or motion sickness. Taste great and have a little heat to them. I bought a 1lb bag to keep by my PC as I'm playing in VR or start to feel funky. Also, awesome to offer when you're demoing to people who may not be accustomed to VR.

I tried Dramamine with the DK2 and that stuff kicked my ass! Made me so drowsy I did nothing but sleep like a baby after taking it. Hoping that Ginger Chews do the trick for the minor motion sick feelings.

Here you go, mango ginger chews. Btw, all Chimes flavors are good!

Thank you :P

Katamari and Dead Space both have made me motion-sick, out of all the games i've played, its just those two.

Katamari i love too, its such a shame =/

Ginger is my go-to for travel and in general. At your local asian market, you should be able to get some ginger chews super cheap.

this is an amazon link for the example of what to look for.

They'll probably only have one brand or whatever, but i've never been in an asian market that didn't have them.

When I took metro more, I'd sometimes get nauseated if it was too warm on the car or too crowded. These have usually helped me with motion sickness.

u/ItsYourMotherDear · 2 pointsr/kratom

They are chews. Ginger mixed with orange or mango or peanut butter, etc. Many of the vendors send them with your order. peanut butter

You ever had chimes or gin gins? The ginger gives a slight tingly/burning sensation in the mouth and back of the throat.

In addition to the other bumpers' suggestions to take meds (which you should try to get prescribed ASAP), until you get the meds, ginger chews helped me immensely. It allowed me to drive again and keep me from gagging during long work meetings. My other prego friends have reported the same. I hate ginger but after trying a bunch of brands (some are disgusting) I settled on this one.

u/helix123 · 1 pointr/Nootropics

I just started tianeptine, how long did it take you to notice a difference to your depression?

I'm not sure this will help, but many people who take opiates will use ginger candy to alleviate the nausea.

Oh girl, I feel ya :( I essentially have a panic attack every time I get to the point of gagging, and have for most of my life had a phobia of throwing up. Therefore after I found out at 3 weeks 4 days, I prepared an arsenal of items to stave off nausea. Most of this stuff helps a lot, but with the onset of other symptoms (like heartburn or dysgeusia), sometimes I'm restricted to certain items.

Here's my list:

  • Sea Bands. This makes my wrists irritated but always helps alleviate nausea. I always keep these in my purse. You can find them at your local Target (if you're in the US)

  • Chinese ginger chews. They are literally pieces of ginger coated in sugar, so they are SPICY. I buy these at my local Chinese candy store but these might be a good alternative.

  • Pepcid. This is more for heartburn, but you really don't want both symptoms at once.

  • Ginger ale. This surprisingly hasn't helped much during pregnancy, but used to be a staple back when I had regular panic attacks accompanied with nausea. Might work for you. I carry a kid-sized can everywhere I go.

  • Hydration. Preferably something with Vitamin B6, which is known to help nausea

  • Small snacks to nibble on (Chex mix, saltines, dried fruits). Snacking throughout the day has really kept bad symptoms at bay, including but not limited to queasiness and nausea. Be warned though - if your nausea is accompanied by cotton mouth, dry snacks can actually trigger gagging.

I also bought a box of ginger tea, which tasted nothing remotely like ginger so it didn't help and it's been sitting in my pantry for a month!

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed, but I have not actually thrown up at 9w 6d. I have had plenty of bouts of nausea, queasiness, heartburn, and food aversion... which when combined, makes for a terrible day. But so far, so good :)

    Good luck fellow April bumper!
