44. Hairgenics Propidren Hair Growth Shampoo for Thinning and Balding Hair with Biotin, Keratin, and Powerful DHT Blockers to Prevent Hair Loss, Nourish and Stimulate Hair Follicles and Help Regrow Hair.

    Features:
  • Clinical studies on hair loss have shown that the number one factor in hair loss is the production of dihydrotestosterone or DHT. Our revolutionary hair loss shampoo contains clinically proven DHT blockers that work synergistically to stop hair loss and help regrow and thicken hair. Works for both men and women!
  • Propidren Shampoo contains Saw Palmetto and other powerful DHT blockers that help prevent DHT production - Saw Palmetto is essential to blocking 5-alpha-reductase, an enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT. DHT is a molecule inside of your body that's responsible for hair loss, so prohibiting the production of this hormone is key to preventing hair loss. The topical application of Saw Palmetto is clinically proven to help stop hair loss and to induce hair regrowth.
  • Our hair loss shampoo nourishes hair with vitamins and proteins, and it contains Biotin to help strengthen weak and brittle hair - Biotin is a B Vitamin that produces keratin, increases hair elasticity (minimizing breakage), and wraps your hair in a protective layer to prevent it from becoming brittle and weak. Biotin helps to induce growth of both your hair and new skin cells, making them healthy and vibrant.
  • For the best results, use for at least 3 months with Pronexa Hair Loss Pills, Serum and Conditioner to stop hair loss, thicken hair, and see significant hair growth. 100% money back guarantee! We want you to try and love our product risk free! If you do not see results from our product, send it back, and we will refund every penny of your purchase price.

The only thing that works for a long term for me is the L'emarie Shampoo https://www.amazon.com/Lemarie-Intensive-Growth-Shampoo-Ounce/dp/B00C01C43S/ref=sr_1_104_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1483708715&sr=1-104&keywords=dandruff+shampoo.

Not only for keeping your scalp clean of dandruff but for a healthy scalp and hair.
This shampoo has 1% Ketoconazole and in top of that it has other ingredients that are well know to help with scalp problems like Pyrithione Zinc, Caffeine , Salicylic Acid , Allatoin and a bunch of essential oils and extracts. It also has one ingredient that is new to the market call Pisum Sativum (Pea) Peptide. this one ingredient helps with keeping your hair growing healthy.

Hi,
Since I do quite a bit besides just my supplements, I am unsure what has particularly helped with my hair, skin, etc. I added a section in my post about my skincare regime; it's quite simple.

I take the Whole Foods Hair, Skin, and Nails supplement. I know several people on this blog have said that biotin supplements do not help, but perhaps they have helped for me. I think the Saw P and Neem have also helped with my hair growth.

In terms of my hair, I am confident the oil I purchased on Amazon has really helped with the growth, and like I said, I add two or three drops of rosemary oil to it.

I don't usually visit this subreddit, but I saw your post and I thought I could help because I've experienced something similar too. First, for a temporary fix, check out Caboki/Toppik hair fibers or Toppik Hair Thickener spray. You can find them at your local drugstore or on Amazon. It will help hide the thinning spots until you find out what's causing this. The fibers can brush off easy once applied, so you'll need a medium/strong hold hair spray to keep them on your hair. The Toppik Hair thickener spray is more convenient than the fibers because it coats your scalp - kinda like spray paint. It's very safe and I used it to hide my thinning spots successfully. I actually preferred it to the fibers. In your case, I think it should work pretty well.

Next, make an appointment with your doctor and see if you can't get to the bottom of what's causing this. I don't think it's likely you suffer from androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness) given your lack of family history and the way in which you're losing hair, which is not the typical vertex/temple loss.

This looks to me like it's possibly telogen effluvium, which is temporary in the majority of cases. It basically makes healthy hairs on your head fall out prematurely. You lose your hair diffusely (all over your head) or in spots (or both if you're lucky like me). It can be triggered by any number of things, like stress or new medication, which is why you should see your doctor. I suffered from telogen effluvium caused by an anti-depressant I was taking. It made me lose hair all over my head. It didn't all fall out, but it got thinner. Some spots were worse than others and my hairline got hit pretty badly as well. It started off as barely noticeable, but it became pretty obvious after 3 months on the medication. I used to have thick long shoulder length hair until I had to buzz it because it started to look ridiculous. You're nowhere near that point, so don't worry about shaving your head. My trigger was obviously the medication, so I stopped. It's been 3 months since then and I'm seeing slight improvement, but my doctor says it takes at least 6 months to a year for your hair to return to normal once you figure out and stop what's causing it. You won't know for sure until you're examined. Don't shave your head or use Rogaine or any other extreme treatments until you know for sure what kind of hair loss you have.

u/Compliant_Automaton · 2 pointsr/AdviceAnimals

The three things you should do to save your hair and regrow some (probably around half) of what you've lost:

  1. Use Bosley shampoo and conditioner (starter kit is currently 29 bucks or so on amazon. Use a shampoo brush to properly get it in there - believe me, the difference between with and without the brush is huge. Leave the shampoo and conditioner both in for five minutes each. Do this every single day. After about four to five weeks you'll start seeing new growth - fine little hairs that will be shorter than the rest of the hair on your head. They will grow longer and thicker with time. After you've run out the starter kit, you can buy one liter sized containers of the shampoo and conditioner only (not the thickening treatment though) for about 40 bucks on Amazon. I like the thickening treatment, but I don't bother with it because it's very expensive outside of the starter kit.

  2. Use minoxidil twice daily. Every day! Skipping this is how it doesn't work properly. You can buy a year's supply on Amazon for about 50 bucks.

  3. Take a Biotin vitamin supplement. It will thicken and strengthen your hair.

You won't lose any more hair if you follow this religiously. Trust me. My entire family is a bunch of bald guys, usually total loss by 30 - I'm in my mid 30's and still have a thick, healthy crop of hair.
u/PurpleKevinHayes · 2 pointsr/tressless

I can't recommend a good shampoo enough. Get a biotin shampoo, also the Propidren brand is really good too. Will keep your hair nice and thick. Good luck.

Edit: Link to the shampoo

And another cheaper alternative

Be sure to get a corresponding conditioner as well

Sorry sorry it's 37 :)

Oh ok I get it :) there is two more options, saline solutions can collapse the veins really quickly and beautifully but you need to talk to a professional dermatologist. It only costs at most $100. Or if that doesn't work, the expensive option is to inject fat in your arms. Which also works, but not as well! and it's quite expensive like in the thousands. But you're gonna be fine. Give HRT a little more time and try the saline solution one!

The only one I found was this

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/ANTI-HAIR-LOSS-SERUM-with-PROCAPIL-and-BIOCAPIGEN-100-ml-GEROVITAL-PLANT-/281344568894

I ordered it yesterday,

there is also another from amazon

http://www.amazon.com/Rolland-Una-Oxygenating-Treatment-3-17oz/dp/B0055DUBMY/ref=pd_sbs_bt_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=18DQ41J97ES4G2KPQZQV

None of them are mainstream products, but I just want to shed some light on propcapil, which is made of Biotinyl-Tripeptide1, Oleanolic acid, Apigenin

There is also provia, but its damn expensive.

I'm sure there are other ones from out of country, but I want to find a trustworthy brand to purchase from. I dont mind sparing 10 bux to buy the Gerivotal brand one, so I decided to give it a try anyway. It's made of good stuff so it doesn't hurt to try. It's also a topical.

u/chodesinsteadoftoes · 1 pointr/femalehairadvice

I would say alopecia, but I’m not a doctor. They do sell Bosley hair fibers that cover up the spot. I hope this helps!! I hear great reviews, im a barber. I deal with this stuff all the time.

u/elilili · 3 pointsr/curlyhair

Well...I don't really know. My hair just does that on its own most of the time. I have to put an effort in to get it to stop doing that.

>Herbal Essences Totally Twisted gel

Use products for curly hair. Herbal Essences, Dove and other mainstream beauty products that market to "curly" hair are actually made for very wavy or loosely coiled hair.

Your hair loss may be from using horrible products on your hair. I know if you're using Herbal Essences, you are probably also sleeping with a cotton pillowcase, so that could be a reason also.

After you wash it, you should put in a leave in conditioner, followed by an oil and then a gel or a cream.

This my favorite detangler/conditoner if you need a product recommendation. To grow you hair back you could try a shampoo and conditioner with argan oil or black castor oil. Mane and Tail also makes a hair growth line.

Alopecia Free With Jass is a youtube channel that also might help you deal with alopecia. You could also try taking biotin.

u/mariolopezdispenser · 1 pointr/TrollXChromosomes

I don't touch my hair that often, but in my experience if you use a little hairspray they stay in place better. Not sure how they hold up if you touch your hair a lot.

Here are the reviews; I'm sure someone here has answered or could answer you better than I can.

u/mojimouse · 1 pointr/trichotillomania

Before I shaved my head, I used a knock-off brand of Toppik I bought off of Amazon. It's a bag with 57 grams worth, I would just get a spoon and scoop it into an empty Toppik bottle and use that. I had a huge bald patch on the top of my head and that would last me for a little over a month. It does shed worse and get all over everything a whole lot worse than Toppik, but it essentially did the same job. I would recommend this route if you're still interested in using hair fibers or willing to give it another try though. It's a cheaper alternative for sure.

https://www.amazon.com/Hair-Building-Highest-Bottles-Competitors/dp/B01BMORA3M/ref=mp_s_a_1_26?keywords=toppik&qid=1556199940&s=gateway&sr=8-26

u/flawless_fille · 28 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Is it thinning all over, or are there just patches missing? My good friend goes through phases where she loses patches of hair, but she is able to wear her hair up in a bun or ponytail and it's not noticeable at all. However, I wouldn't suggest this if your hair is thinning all over - putting your hair up causes extra stress on it that you don't need.

There is also this hair powder filler I saw that may be good if you want to wear your hair down - it's kind of like eyebrow filler but for your scalp. You may also want to look into something called "hair fibers." I tried googling these but you may just want to check out the hair section in your drugstore or grocery store. I remember seeing these there and at the mall. Something kind of like this but you should do your own research. I don't know how gimmicky these are.

Otherwise it kind of looks like hats/headbands/scarves for the short term or wigs for the long term, like what other people are saying. I'm not really familiar with wigs but they sound kind of itchy :/ If it were me I would probably wear a knit hat or something unless I was pretty sure this was going to be like a six months+ of continuing thinning hair. I want to suggest like a cute fedora but those have gotten a bad rep in the last few years. Or you could just go full on Sinead O'Connor, shave your head, and wear a bow to feminize it. Or pretend it's 1999 and wear a handkerchief headband thing.

u/catterfly · 16 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

You stop drying/straightening your hair (eliminate heat damange) and look into hair/skin/nail vitamins for accelerated growth.

I use these and love them. My nails grow in stronger and my hair grows faster - but you can only really tell hair growth speed on your legs so that's kind of a down side.

MTHFR - Postpartum Hair Loss

I’m a mother of a toddler who has experience experienced post parting hair loss. I have recently done a blood work to find out that all my harmony levels are normal with deficiency of zinc.

I looked out for some hair and nails supplement and done of them is expensive and FDA approved but none of them have B vitamins in active form. Is there a mom who can relate ? I’m looking out for pointers

Research Verified Hair Growth

I use this product: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B016XB280Y and although it took awhile it did regrow some of my hair back. What is strange is I was thinning at the front of my hair line on both sides and it only regrew on one side, but I will take what I can get. It also seemed to help with my bald spot in the back. Don't expect miracles but it did regrow some of my hair back. I use it about 3 times a week. The stuff also lasts a long time. I bought it over a year ago and still have half a bottle left and this is with my kids using it for awhile thinking it was regular shampoo. Oh yeah, only use it where you want to regrow hair, which for me is the top and front of my head. At first I was using it on all of my hair and the hair that is not receding started growing a lot faster so I now use regular shampoo for that.

I've seen a couple of pretty good options on Amazon, along with a lot of overpriced useless stuff. This one seems to have pretty high reviews.

u/fellwoods · 1 pointr/tressless

> if you use natural DHT blockers that actually work, you'll face the same problem.

Seconding the "correct" answer.

On the other hand, you could start with low-dose finasteride to see if you have side-effects (you need to be diligent in noting things like libido and ejaculate volume), and if not, ramp up the dose bit by bit. Personally, I felt my libido dropped due to Finasteride, as well as when I tried the HairOmega DHT blocker (which contains saw palmetto). I stopped using both, and got back to normal soon enough.

In retrospect, I may well have been "looking" for the side-effects that I found them, so you could make it somewhat unbiased by using your SO as a test evaluator (e.g., not tell them there may be side effects and notice if they observe anything different).

u/hotpantsdance88 · 1 pointr/SebDerm

A lot of women use the men's rogaine, so I think using the Kirkland brand would be totally fine. If you look at the reviews on amazon, a lot of them are from women. I personally think you should try the rogaine for 6 months and see if it works! I'm 30 now and wish I had started it when I was 23 -I might have more hair, haha. I can't speak for viviscal but my derm recommended this supplement https://www.amazon.com/Elon-Extra-Strength-Hair-Growth/dp/B009NWSRQ0?th=1 and I think it's cheaper.

u/dc041894 · 2 pointsr/malehairadvice

Visit /r/tressless and do some research. The "big 3 for hairloss are Minoxidil, Finasteride, and Nizoral. Keep in mind some people respond better to these than others so your results will vary. If you want a temporary coverup, use a concealer like Toppik or Cabooki

u/BananaMuscle · 1 pointr/steroids

I see a lot of support for Nizoral shampoo which has 1% Ketoconazole, which helps to block DHT. I find anti-dandruff shampoos really harsh. Does anyone have an experience with anything else on the hair-loss-prevention-shampoo front?

Example linked here, also contains 1% ketoconazole:

L'emarie Intensive Hair Growth and Hair Loss Shampoo, W/ 1% Ketoconazole Biotin, DHT Blocking
