I bought the floodlight.
After getting a wired POE stickup cam for the back yard, I saw the huge difference in video and night vision quality between the stick up cam wired - not wireless - vs my Floodlight cam.
I figured buying the Ring Floodlight with the bridge was a good option since it could integrate with Ring, and had some better features than basic ones on Amazon around 20-35 bucks that only did cold white light. I bought the Floodlight, was happy with the results, bought another POE stick up for the front of the house, and gave the floodlight camera away. I wouldn't suggest buying their floodlight cam until it at least gets the same image sensor that the Stick Up Cam wired has. It really is that much worse.
Keep in mind, I only bought the Ring Smart floodlight because I had an electrical box already in place. The only other reason I would recommend investing in Ring is you're super big into the cooler automation stuff, and have the property size to utilize it. I do not have the size, nor really the need for the integration. But, I have the bridge + floodlight combo to bring to a future house or use if I change my mind later.
I found a nice set of Solar lights for $50 on amazon that I'd rather have and save some money on. They're plenty bright for a walkway, look nicer IMO, and won't need batteries replaced anywhere near as often. We've had them for 3 months without issue.
For my back yard, I found this cheap battery powered light, much cheaper than Ring's options. Does the job well, I am happy with it.
For porch lights, stair lights, spotlights, etc, there are plenty of cheap, simple motion sensing options out there on Amazon for far less money. Only pay the premium if you really care about owning smart lights, whose main purpose is to have a Ring camera record if they see something. The Stick Up cam already records what I want to record, so I'm happy without.
Before we get to the tips, I think my best advice would be to formulate a plan. This is the style you want. This is the furniture you need eventually If you can't afford it all at once, don't fret over it. Use what you got but continue to put a few bucks away here and there and save up for what you want.
As to actual tips
Tip 1) The smaller the coffee table, the better. This one is gigantic and takes up too much space in an already small room. I would consider a chest instead of a coffee table maybe. Work with what you can find, but you don't need something as massive as this. This dude's coffee table is made for a big as great room. Not a 1 room apartment.
Tip 2) NO FREAKING CHRISTMAS LIGHTS ON THE WALLS. If you like Christmas lights as a room aesthetic, get a fake ficus tree and a string of 50 lights and use the ficus like a christmas tree. If you want accent lighting but don't want twinkle lights, get floor uplight cans and stick them in the corners. There are also small aimable spotlights you can put on the floor to uplight art or framed posters you have on the walls
Tip 3) Paint. A fresh coat of paint does wonders. And don't cheap out either. Get the top of the line paint/primer one coat paint. Its a little more expensive but it goes on easier and looks better.
Tip 4) Don't have as much bookshelf space as this guy. One of them is almost completely unused. The trick to making a living/sleeping space work is to store as much out of eyesight as possible.
So if you need some storage, get a TV stand that is a buffet cabinet. This gives you closed cabinet storage. Our accumulated clutter is better behind closed doors than out in the open.
Tip 5) use available storage to the maximum. See how this guy has storage space on top of his kitchen cabinets that he is not using? Use that space.
Ideally I'd be able to adjust the color / RGB
I guess the main issue I'm running into is finding a nice little shade or can that I can put the LED light in on the floor, so that it looks nice.
Actually, it hadn't occurred to me that there were color changing LED "bulbs" that fit into regular sockets. Brainfart there I guess. I looked at phillips hue bulbs and thats definitely pricier than I want. Maybe something like this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A85LTQU?psc=1 though I'd prefer more like $15 or $20 per bulb.
Then I suppose I could just put it into something like this: http://amzn.com/B0000DI4D8 for the effect I want
Any other better recommendations for the bulb or "can" fixtures?
Hi guys,I would recommend a great solar lights seller on Amazon I have bought and used for years since It is time to get new beautiful solar lights for your yard. The seller is also a 15 years solar lighting manufacturer. Here is a link for you of this Best Solar Lights Collection Storefront:

Here is one Solar spot lights outdoor I like best: https://www.amazon.com/Spotlight-Spotlights-Waterproof-Lighting-Landscape/dp/B01MAYGBRI/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_1?keywords=solar+spot+lights+outdoor&m=A39PH15OSSYYUG&qid=1555904753&s=merchant-items&sr=1-1-fkmrnull
You're probably going to have to build it yourself. There are theater spotlights or similar that run on... DMX, if I recall my high school theater tech stuff, that'd do the effect too... but they ain't cheap. Here's an example. You'd also need a DMX control board to go that route... And DMX programming can be a bit of a rough learning curve. If you're interested, here's a quick DMX intro.
Honestly, if I were attacking this for my own project, I'd dig around a bit for something like these cheap floodlights, gut them and put my own addressable LEDs in the housing. That'd let me get full control over color and still have reasonable waterproofing, reflector, etc. While you could do it with RGB or RGBW straight LEDs, I'd still honestly use addressables like WS2812s - they're just easier to work with when it comes to running wire and controlling brightness/color. Even if you're addressing whole blocks of them at a time...
Probably not what you're looking for, but I can vouch for these. They're strong for a solar powered light, but not really suited for a path, more for lighting up trees or objects. I have them on top of my retaining wall shooting down, but I still had to make a holder for them that looked good. And you have to have a place to hide the solar panel that still gets sun. Again, not really for path but you talked about sprucing up the front yard, so if you want a good accent light, these work.
Hopefully someone has a rec. for a good path light, because there's a lot of lousy ones out there. Don't go too cheap, they're just dim and don't really do anything.

Edit: added hyperlink.
Not a pro by any stretch of the imagination, just a homeowner. But I'm guessing that if one has gone, the others will follow soon. How much lighting do you have? Have you considered replacing with solar? We've used stuff like this from Amazon and some larger-profile but similar lumens LED lights from Costco. I'd follow some of the reviewers' advice to use old garden hose to protect the thin wires from errant weedwhackers and such, but they've lasted in the mild PNW winters, and mostly give light until the wee hours of the morning, all night if the PV panel is in the brightest areas. One set has been out there for 2.5 years. Maintenance has been occasional clearing off leaves from the PV panel and repositioning lights when we moved some plantings.
Get a mirror, as large as will fit, and hang it on the wall opposite the window. That'll reflect any light coming in the window and make the room sunnier.
Look for some uplights similar to this one that you can put on the floor and tuck away behind furniture or plants. Put full-spectrum light bulbs in those and in any lamps you have which the bulbs, which are taller than normal, will fit in without looking ridiculous.
In a 500-person class?
OP could always get one of those 5+ million candlepower hand-held hunting spotlights and just POP it into the area of greatest concentrated crowd noise. Like these two:

I just bought them off Amazon. I wasn't expecting much because they were so cheap but they work pretty well.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K3Q46LB/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_3qfDDbYEQTAHR
I purchased these and have been very pleased. I like the ability to place the panel separately from the lights and concealing the cord was easy enough. They also held up after an extremely harsh winter.
If you have a structural/landscape element you would like to highlight, up facing lights are nice.
This one seems to be highly rated, and solar.
LITOM 12 LED Solar Landscape Spotlights, IP67 Waterproof Solar Powered Wall Lights 2-in-1 Wireless Outdoor Solar Landscaping Light for Yard Garden Driveway Porch Walkway Pool Patio 2 Pack Cold White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KP8GJVZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_I95KDbS5453ZP
Other options do have color options.
I bought some of these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B3WVTTO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_zftlyb0H23YP5
So far they're pretty damn good and a nice daylight balanced white.
Thanks! I’m using two green and one purple of these outdoor LED spotlights: Gemmy LED Purple Spotlight Stake Light for Halloween https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C5WD1ES/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_AxXMDbZ6FD26Y
I bought them a few years ago on Amazon but don’t remember them being as expensive as they’re selling for now. They’ve definitely held up over the years!
There are a bunch of styles out there, but these seem pretty solid for wall-mounting: http://www.amazon.com/Beams-MB393-300-Lumen-Weatherproof-Spotlight/dp/B00BCCNZ7K/ref=cm_cd_ql_qh_dp_t
and then there are always the push-in solar pathway lights.
https://www.amazon.com/Mini-Accent-High-Light-Black/dp/B0000DI4D8/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1521063250&sr=8-7&keywords=floor+uplight
Accent floor lights have the added benefit of lighting the wall and ceiling.
As for the corner, I agree arc lights are the way to go. Check out this one With multiple heads you could aim one or two at the ceiling
So far I've just put these up on the wall outside my garage. 4 of them covers a 60' long section with light casting out probably 15-20 feet. They're cheap but seem to be pretty solid. The stakes screw off and you can use the arm to mount them on a wall. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K88FH1H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_QxDFDbNZ962R5
Wow the 3 pack has shot up in price... +$60 on Amazon according to camelcamelcamel.
https://camelcamelcamel.com/Philips-Hue-Ambiance-Outdoor-required/product/B07DBGW73T?active=price_amazon
I was able to find a legacy 3-pack on Abt Electronics over Labor Day at the old price with an extra 10% off. But it seems Philips is ratcheting up retail prices on this piece of kit.
I think the TN4A will do you fine. It's just that I already own some D-cell powered motion detector lights, those would let me use Eneloops in them instead of D-cells.
Although to be fair the factory D-cells it came with are doing just fine.
One other thing I thought of: You might want to deploy some motion activated lights in the less traveled areas outside of your home so that they get lit up when prowling around. Thatt's often enough to send them elsewhere.
The "Mr Beams" line of battery operated floodlights works pretty well and run on 4 D batteries. They stay on for a short period, and will reactivate if there is still motion sensed. No power connection needed. There is also a wireless version that talk to each other, so that when one light is triggered, all of them come on. (https://smile.amazon.com/Beams-MB393-300-Lumen-Weatherproof-Spotlight/dp/B00BCCNZ7K/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1487012780&sr=8-3&keywords=mr+beams)
The only down side I've seen with these lights is that they can be a little slow to trigger, or sometimes don't trigger when the temps here are consistently over about 112 degrees. I think the heat overrides the thermal sensor that would normally pick up a body moving.
depends on what you want to do?
i love the blooms for the form factor, they seem to blend in much nicer with decor and are really unobtrusive, but are decidedly angled to shoot light onto a wall. in my media room, i have a few bulbs in uplight cans since it directs the light differently and is easy to hide on the floor in corners.
pretty sure it’s this. batteries last a crazy long time. They’re pretty sensitive too- they pick up my dogs in the backyard.
Like these
I don't think Seattle has enough light to keep something like that going in the winter. I use the Mr. Beams at my home. They take 3 d batteries and each one lasts about 2-5 years depending on traffic to activate the motion. The one in my backyard is still going 5+ years later on the same batteries. https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Beams-Weatherproof-Wireless-Spotlight/dp/B07699QWKN
if it is just for 100 Sq ft and if it just was lighting, then just couple of something like these off the shelf products

Not sure what you're asking/saying. But yes, there are plenty of led lights available in the form factor of old style light bulbs (although they tend to use plastic, not glass). Plus many modern fridge-freezers just have led strips built in. You can also get a battery powered led light with motion detection to put in your freezer. from amazon
Depending on how bright and what type of lighting effect you are trying to have you could use a lower or higher wattage of one of these:

Looks like you got the wrong kit... the one you purchased specifically says it's an extension (therefore it's additional lights). You'll have to buy the 3-light starter pack from what I can see;

Do a return and use the credit against the 3-pack... I know the 3 might be surplus but I can't see anyplace else to get the power supply unless you feel like reverse-engineering a solution.
For the record, I hate when companies do this sort of bundling crap...
