That does make sense - my inclination is to say that the salve won't inhibit the scent from Cool, but the scent of the soap itself is light and would probably only give you whiffs for an hour or two at most, and stick very close to the skin. I might be the wrong person to ask, as 95% of my shaves with Reserve Cool would also use the matching Reserve Cool aftershave splash and Eau de Cologne.

Keeping in mind that the vibe of Cool is "Italian Barbershop" and it's inspired by the old Floid Blue I believe, the listed notes are lemon, bergamot, and lavender. You could seek out a fragrance with similar notes to finish off the shave if you wanted to project the scent a little more. Some well known options you may be able to find in your area are Acqua di Parma Colonia (though this may be a bit more expensive) or 4711.

I am a girl and my male friend once told me he gets THE best smelling cologne. I told him I hate cologne and didn't believe him. One day I was in his room and caught the smell of it and it is literally the best smelling cologne I have ever experienced. I seriously recommend it. Don't be fooled by the fact that it's Jack Skellington on the container. I'm serious.

You're going to want an alum block to rub over your wet face right after the shave. It tightens your pores, disinfects, and controls any bleeding if you have cut yourself or scraped your skin. If you want one purpose-made for shaving, you can get the one by RazoRock, but you should save a few bucks and instead use a Crystal Body Deodorant; it's chemically identical and comes in a plastic applicator that is easier to hold.

After rinsing off the alum, I would use a toner splash, like Thayers witch hazel and lavender or Ogalalla bay rum, followed by a balm, like Nivea Aftershave for Sensitive Skin.

It's can be easily found on Amazon, actually. They have the original-scent version of the cologne as well as lotions, body sprays and deodorant.

Muelhens 4711 also produce several a variety of other refreshing colognes in their Acqua Colonia line, like the Pink Pepper & Grapefruit, the Melissa & Verbena, the Blood Orange & Basil, the Lemon & Ginger, the Lime & Nutmeg, the Mandarin & Cardamon, and the Lavender & Thyme. I actually prefer these scents to the original 4711 cologne as they're less-bracing or medicinal and more fresh and crisp.

2 cologne's that I've used for about 2 years now that are amazing are: This one which is more for evenings and nights and This one for mornings and afternoons. Most women love the scents of both of these colognes, and remember that the scent is to be found not displayed.

To be fair, I haven’t smelled the original, but I like the way it smells (definitely like both tobacco and vanilla), and the scent seems to stay on for a while.

First ever straight razor shave! Damn was I nervous... played some classical music to ease my mind. It turned out really well I think, only a couple nicks that weren't bad at all and very little irritation that subsided in an hour.

Incredibly close shave like nothing I've had before. The cream dried halfway through so I had to reapply it, I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong or just took too long.

Will definitely be making this routine maybe a couple times a week due to how long it takes. I'll stick with my electric shaver most mornings because I really wouldn't want to do this while rushing to class :)

Ingredients of these things aren’t great - alcohol & fragrance, but they’re quite nice and refreshing in the summer when it’s hot.

I don't know how well known it is in the UK, but here in the States the only after shave I have been able to tolerate is [Florida Water] (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Murray-Lanman-Florida-Water-16/dp/B0055DT4YU). It has an extremely light scent, but still gives you that needed after shave tingle and tightening.
Don't be put off by the name or having a reputation as a "holy water", this stuff really is a good deal and manly as well.

I like Alvarez Gomez during the summer. It is super citrusy and light. Also, it is very inexpensive.

Back when I actually cared about what my Fleshlight sleeves smelled like, I would use a heavily scented powder to powder them. Might work for you also.
