I'm looking for something that should be easy too find, but for some reason I can't.

this is basically what I want But I just want the top. All I can find for long john type shirts is henley style and I want a full button down. Thought it would be super easy to find at walmart but nope. It's the kind of shirt that I always see in westerns and shit.

Please help!

I have the same problem! Amazon helped a lot. They have lots of colors/sizes/cuts of union suits and long underwear. I love this one, but here are a couple more - hooded & zip up - to get you started. If you search "union suit" or "one piece long underwear" on Amazon, you'll find tons of options. Hope that helps!

you stay dry and same temperature inside rain gear no joke. I never wear cotton in the rain.

You're not going to find adult-size unitards for under $15/each, but amazon has (footless) red long underwear. Add red socks, and you'll be looking at more like $20 each, but still not too bad. :)

Old guy here who has actually owned red long johns and may have the answer. They were wearing Union Suits, which are traditionally made of red flannel.
