I use a Sony SBH20 with my Lumia 925 because I can use my own earphones with them instead of the stock ones and its clip rotates so you can wear it any way you like.

This one is a good option as it lets you give commands to Cortana from the handsfree itself. From Nokia, you can try Nokia BH-121 but that will not have a rotating clip which comes in handy.

Plantronics Backbeat Go 2 is also a very good option but I don't know what kind of audio you like. Heavy on base or more Mids?

You should also have a look at this BlueAnt handsfree. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009F4XM48/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=desktop-2&pf_rd_r=1B437RAY3FZBF4ZRZMKY&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=1970567742&pf_rd_i=desktop

It has Bluetooth AptX support which is something Microsoft is going to provide in all compatible Lumia devices with Lumia Denim update. AptX gives very good quality.

Stay away from Jabra Street 2/Jabra Play. They have audio skip issue.
Stay away from Nokia BH-221. Its OLED dims away within 2 months and then nothing is visible on the screen.

I use a BlueAnt Ribbon for all my easy to drive IEMs and headphones; I like that it can hook onto things. There are probably better sound quality nowadays but I love the convenience. You're losing quality with B/T anyway so it doesn't bother me much.

I have been using BT earbuds almost exclusively for a few years now, so it's not a big deal for me. Every once in a while, when I am near them, I would plug in EarPods, but I can still do that with the lightning version.

What I would love to see, though, is a great dongle/splitter for all of those people who do need to charge and have to use a headphone jack (car head units, for example.) Though, for all of those people, the BlueAnt BT streamer really works great with the iPhone and give you a headphone jack and keeps the lightning port free for charging.

I haven't found any Bluetooth headphones that are comfortable for me, so I personally prefer a small adapter with a headphone jack (and use whatever headphones I like). I currently use this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B075YD83Y9/ and am fairly happy with it.

There's a cheaper one https://smile.amazon.com/BlueAnt-Ribbon-Bluetooth-Streamer-Headset/dp/B009F4XM48/ that's well reviewed and whose form factor I liked better, but I returned the unit I received because its connectivity was flaky even when clipped to my shirt with my phone in my pocket. I suspect I just got a bad unit, but I switched to a different brand anyway.

I'm surprised this sort of device isn't more popular...

The BlueAnt Ribbon does the same, but also has decent battery life, a very handy form factor, and also clips on so you can use any earphones or headphones plugged into it to BT stream from your phone or whatever. Pretty handy, and well worth the $24 imho.

Cheaper option if you have earbuds

Obviously you have to clip/tie it down somewhere, but it supports AptX and sounds pretty good.

*edit - They come with earbuds as well, but I never tried them. Might be good enough.
