At the bottom left, stuff I have on my person more or less all the time:

2nd gen Moto 360 with [Skymaster face]

OnePlus Two with a tempered glass screen protector

Coleman knife with glass breaker

Pilot G2

Wallet which is actually a business card case since I mostly carry cards

Car keys

And contents of my backpack:

XPS 13

Jaybird X2 great for biking but not so great for using for 8 hours in an office

Bose QC35 great for using for 8 hours in an office but not so great for biking

Primula cold brew bottle pictured here brewing tomorrow's coffee

Rhodia Dotpad

KMASHI 15,000 mAh powerbank with USBC and micro cables

Disposable Earplugs that I keep a pair of everywhere since they come in a pack of 20

Knockoff Aviator Sunglasses that I bought in high school for $10 and somehow still haven't broken

Here's a decent one on amazon if your looking for a more tech styled backpack

u/tj-horner · 4 pointsr/EDC

It's almost back to school, so I'm gearing up.

From left to right:

  • Mancro Laptop Backpack
  • DEF CON 25 lanyard, holds work ID card and YubiKey NEO
  • Absolutely destroyed MagSafe 1 charger
  • MacBook Air 11" (mid-2011)
  • Various flash drives and a Bash Bunny
  • HDMI to Mini-HDMI converter
  • Pilot G2 pens
  • Apple "cube" USB wall charger
  • Lightning/Micro-USB 2-in-1 cable
  • Stock Apple Lightning cable
  • C-to-C USB cable
  • Aukey all-in-one cable (Micro-USB, Type-C, Lightning, and Type-A)
  • Nexus 6P

    Not pictured:

  • iPhone 7
  • Wallet
  • USB Type-C OTG cable

I also ordered some stuff online to add to this later on, like power banks and some Bluetooth earbuds.

I use it as a minimalistic camera bag and love it. If your looking for that type of thing. It's advertised as water resistant but I don't know how much I would trust it, seems like it would keep everything dry in the rain which is all you can really ask for $30. Great backpack though I'm loving it!

u/rainbowunicornloverr · 2 pointsr/backpacks

Not sure if this is helpful but my brother uses this backpack (Mancro) and said good things about it.

I also purchased a Timbuk2 for my cousin's graduation gift and she loved it! I personally used the Recon throughout my college years but prefer the old model vs the newer one that came out about 2 years ago (I think). The newer model felt as if everything was way too compressed with very little space vs the old model had a lot of space to fit a laptop, notebooks, and two textbooks, no problem.

We got this one, which isn't an actual diaper bag, but has tons of pockets and is working great. Also loved the lower price.

Honestly, I don't really have any complaints. Honestly I can't really think of anything

When you read about people commenting on how solidly it's built they are not lying; this thing feels sturdy.

I have a Mancro backpack which is designed for 17 and under sized laptops and this pushes the limits of the laptop sleeve in it although it does fit easily. The power brick is no big deal either. Together on my back, the weight isn't bad at all.

See below for context:

Any other questions, just let me know. I'll do my best to answer.

This is my current bag for getting around the city.

I just recently moved to Brooklyn and felt like the old Jansport I had wasn’t comfortable to wear and carry for hours at a time. It had the space and organizational features I needed for the most part, but it just wasn’t that comfortable when I was wearing it for hours at a time, even when it was adjusted properly.

I bought this on a whim because it was cheap and smaller. It fits everything I need (a full change of clothes including shoes) with room to spare in case I pick something up while I’m out. The organization in the front pocket is great.

The charging port is actually far more useful than I thought it would be. It’s got a specific pocket to hold a portable charger that the cable routs into perfectly. I’ve actually found myself regularly using it (although I now wish it was USB-C PD compatible since I just upgraded all of my charging devices this week).

I don’t currently need to carry my laptop with me, but it fits my 15” MacBook Pro with my thick wool sheath case and has great padding for protection.

For a cheap backpack, I’d definitely recommend it.

I’ll be moving to a new position soon where I might need to travel the city with more organization and if I find this to be lacking, I’ll probably move over to this, which has great reviews.

I don't know if you are the same, but I watch a lot of tech videos on YouTube and this person did a "What's in my backpack?" video and he used this bag and I thought it was cool.

How about this one with usb built in? I'm bringing go pro and have the fuel rod.

u/dirtypourart · 2 pointsr/Wishlist

Ok so I feel like having a designated bag is sorta a big deal and I always try to keep it classy but I did include a fun bag as well.:)

This one is slightly above budget but so gorgeous

This one is very femme and understated

Again slightly above budget

Theres a reason it's a bestseller

Space vibes

Matches every outfit

Oh! Yes, I see what you mean! And I have had it for about 2 years maybe and its held up extremely well. It even survived a trip up Machu Picchu and Rainbow mountain and still looks as new as the day that I bought it.

I was also extremely confused by that. I was like, why do I all of a sudden have a zero and then I noticed you had -2! What is that? So bizarre, I'll give you an upvote to even it out. Haha.

Heres the backpack I use.

Its definitely one of those Chinese sellers you're talking about.

I used this one when I went down with my daughter this past spring. It worked great.

u/danixd41 · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

I'd suggest something waterproof, such as this, even if you live somewhere relatively dry. I had a surprisingly large amount of rain right at the start of winter and it absolutely ruined my previous backpack (and its contents).

It's a decent bag that holds a fair amount, even has a USB port to allow you to hook up to a portable battery inside.

u/[deleted] · 0 pointsr/thinkpad

I'll probably use this with it
