I have the MI box and just received the Rii mini i8+ bluetooth keyboard. After several attempts,pts I can not connect bluetooth to the Mi box. Box sees it but will not pair, yet pairs in seconds with Samsung TV tablets phones . No problem
Anyone else try a Bluetooth accessories and get them working onow the new MI box.

I bought this thing to use for chatting and it works really well!! I did have an actual full keyboard but that was just too big and annoying but yeah this thing is nice and small easy to type with! It also has backlit keys which is nice for playing/typing if you play at night in the dark.
Have you tried a different charger yet? I don't think I've ever used the shield itself to charge my controllers. I would say you may have a bad battery but since they sent you another and it has the same problem it seems unlikely. If you would like some really good advice i suggest you get one of these.

It's a game changer.
There's a lag on the app, and IR controllers through cec TV lag big time. I got a Bluetooth rii+ from amazon. It's awesome. Back-lit qwerty keyboard, TouchPad, and works like a normal remote too. 25 bucks or so. Make sure you get the Bluetooth one. I mistakenly bought the ir one first and it's 8 bucks to return it.

Another option is a BT Rii i8 compact keyboards. Like this one. Since I don't think I'll need the keyboard often. Just when searching in the App/Game stores, or typing a Username/Password or website URL.
I know on the remote that came with my 'TV box' there is a button that gives you access to a mouse pointer, then you just use the directional buttons to get to where you want to go.
Also they have wireless/bluetooth keyboards that you can try.
