I think it's like this for most people, but I'm actually pretty handy with a track pad. I've played games like Ragnarok Online, Wakfu (turn based MMO), and Terra with it. I either amaze people with this, or get so much smack talk, LOL... That said, I actually prefer a controller for Stardew Valley. The only thing you'd have to do manually is type in names. Depending on how old the controller is its most likely a worn trigger. While still usable, your better off buying a controller from like Amazon
