Is it $100 total for all three? Nonetheless here's mine! I'm not entering, but thought I still do this for fun! :D
For a full size shadow from Shiro it's around $5-6.
I think a vinyl on Amazon is $20-40ish depending on the record.
But I want to give you books I want to read and to be read later on:
I'm pretty sure an eBook on Amazon for kindle is waaay cheaper than getting a printed novel, so you can get quite a handful. Plus, Amazon has free ones too :D
I have wayyy too many favorite memories at Disney world to ever be able to list one!
Thanks for the contest!
Moon Safari by Air is awesome. Super warm, loads of neat samples and tones.
Tycho has many amazing songs. This is just one album but I really love his stuff.
Raising Your Voice... by Hammock is one of my obsessions. Just amazing, trippy, vibes. Wonderful laid back vocals (if you can call them that!) with smooth guitar. Helios is very similar.
Far Away Trains Passing By by Ulrich Schnauss is amazing. Again very laid back and relaxing, wonderful soundscapes.
Opalescent by Jon Hopkins is highly recommended! Soothing sounds for almost any chill occasion.
I think most people would be perfectly happy with the $15 Sony remaster of Kind of Blue. I just checked and it's actually under $14 right now on amazon.

For someone who wants an all-analog version, the 1977 reissue here can probably be had for $25 and actually sounds better than most of the 1959 OG 6 eye copies I own (almost all of those have a weird pressing issue that causes lots of surface noise).

For me, I collect different pressings of Kind of Blue because I enjoy it. I also have a long-range plan to make some sort of resource for people to listen for themselves (although it would be lossless digital files, not the actual record) to see whether it's worth it for that individual to buy a more expensive edition.

More generally, though, my advice is pretty specific to Columbia records. People that are into collecting different genres and labels likely have other cost-saving tips. Riverside records (jazz), for example, are notoriously expensive. Int he 1970s, Milestone records had bought the Riverside catalog and reissued many hard-to-find records as combo "two-fer" records, where you got two albums for the price of one (not sure if these are remastered from the analog tapes or they still had the metal to do more pressings). These are the best value out there for Bill Evans fans because most people don't know about these. When Milestone released the albums, they changed the names and artwork, so it's not clear that "Spring Leaves" is actually "Portrait in Jazz" AND "Explorations." That one is for sale here for $10 with the seller accepting offers.

I don't have anything against modern reissues, but it can be fun to find older records that are an even better value.
Something a little different than usual here, but this is my favorite piece off Gershwin's fantastic piano roll album. Even if you don't normally like Gershwin, this is the best quality piano roll album I've ever heard and is definitely worth a listen for both the historical and musical aspects.
This is probably way out there, but I couldn't help but think of this pop-rock musical/concept album (score is by the two guys from ABBA) I love called Chess. Inspired by the hyped 1972 World Chess Championship between a Russian and American player (the infamous Bobby Fischer), the musical is basically about how these two guys become celebrities and political figures just for being really good at a board game. (It's been revised and staged and rerecorded countless times over the years but it originated with this concept album.)
And happy happy cake day!
Bonus: I prefer complete surprises.
I think I understand you to be asking how to work on your Clarinet skills, am I right? I'll just run with that...
If you're looking for style interpretations the Wicked soundtrack has a fantastic pit orchestra Clarinetist who plays with an excellent "Broadway" sound. If you do your best to mimic that, you should be okay even if you only get it a little bit.
If it's a fingering issue, I'd say that you should find an etude or piece that you know cold on your saxophone and play it on the Clarinet. It will be weird hearing it in Bb instead of Eb pitch center, but since you already know the rhythms and notational markings it will help you "smooth out" your Clarinet.
Granted, these are just quick fixes... if you've got time I recommend the Klosé Method as this should help with a more Clarinet centric pedagogy.
Break a leg!

|name|Sterbhaus|
|about artist|MEMBERS: Marcus Hammarström: Vocals/Bass Jimmy Ahovalli: Lead/Rhythm Guitar Simon Olovsson: Rhythm Guitar Viktor (Bingan) Bingselius: Drums Sterbhaus is a four-piece thrash/death combo of Stockholm that since the start in 2007 has proved well that quality and a neatly weighed dose of humor can blend in perfect symbiosis. That’s the short version. The more elaborate presentation would include that the band is among Stockholms finest and most appreciated live acts. (more on last.fm)|

I would love to add this to my record collection just because it's an essential jazz album. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0041TM5OU/ref=aw_wl_ov_dp_2_10?colid=22IOTWYO3489C&coliid=I25162B4I0PCO2
Or perhaps a new book? Always looking for more ways to be a better man and this looks like a fun read/coffee table conversation starter. :) http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1595553738/ref=aw_wl_ov_dp_1_12?colid=18OC6RH85DR84&coliid=I109JPWQ1SG2SP

I tried to mix new and old. I am a sucker for the classics tho. The first three are my top pick in that order the rest are things that I thought where good in any order. I linked the version of each I liked to make it easier to find. Most are streaming on Amazon unlimited or Spotify.
I LOVE these guys!!! My college buddy plays guitar for them. Their whole album is seriously epic. :)
Do support them and buy the album if you enjoy their stuff.
You should check out Judy at Carnegie Hall. It's really an amazing concert, from start to finish, and is one of the only existing sources of Judy's fantastic sense of humor, as she jokes around with the audience quite a bit.
Oh, and if you want to hear some of Judy's earliest recordings, including the recordings she did as a child, when she was still part of her family's vaudeville act, you should check out the Judy Box Set.
I shuffle from these collections:
The Most Relaxing Classical Album in the World...Ever!
The Most Relaxing Classical Album In the World Ever, Volume II
The Most Relaxing Classical Music in the Universe
But usually I just tune in to WILL-FM, it saves me the effort of shuffling, choosing, selecting ... which in itself can be distracting when trying to work or study.
Yours because there are endless practical uses for a medieval buckler.
And from mine, this Miles David record because its one of the greatest albums ever made
I love Kevin
I just found one this week for $5. The cover is kind of busted, but the record is in good shape.
I will likely get this after the holidays, though
I think it is. I purchased the 2011 180grm edition in Dec before I knew about this one from MoFi.
I was able to notice a difference that was worth the extra $20. It's only 2 LPs rather than 5 so not really a big deal.
This will be the kind of album that I'll turn down the light, pour myself a drink and enjoy from my easy chair.
[This please!] (http://www.amazon.com/Book-Mormon-Original-Broadway-Recording/dp/B004X1M4DS/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=2G57H85D06D3D&coliid=I36207QYS3VF6L) Hope you start feeling better! claritin
I listen to my fair share of both. Just today, I picked up a Thelonious Monk album along with a used 4-disc compilation of Bach. My wife picked up a similar set of Tchaikovsky a few days ago. Miles Davis' Kind of Blue is on the way and I just picked up Stanley Turrentine's Pieces of Dreams last week for a few dollars.
The classical I put on quite a bit when I'm studying, the jazz is for relaxation and beer time. Not that it's related, but I'm also big into Sinatra and Bennett for my staring-at-the-wall time.
Judy: At Carnegie Hall is the best live recording ever made by a US solo artist.

Popular is on Disc 4
Probably not going to be a popular choice, but I'd suggest the album Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of War of The Worlds or, if you don't want to shell out money and don't mind low quality, you can listen to it here
I'm a sucker for blending rock music with violins and this is one of the better examples out there.
If you like blending of modern and classical, Blackmore's Night is also very good. Modern guitars and instruments with medieval themed tunes.
Possibly this box set: Broadway, America's Music
Or Broadway Today: Broadway 1993-2005, which looks like it's one disc of that box set.
While at home I listen to classical music, either on the radio or on youtube. I have three classical music relaxation CDs (this, this, and this), sometimes I listen to those.
When I am stressed, I listen to one of the long (1+ hours) zen relaxation videos on youtube.
When I am having difficulty falling sleep, I listen to sleep music.
Go doesn't have a soundtrack.
Chess does, though.
No, that's an Import which means it's a grey market reissue. Avoid these at all costs. DOL, Jazzwax, Wax Love and a shit ton of other reissue labels. They DO NOT sound good at all.
