Congrats on reaching the final round. I've done a bunch of all day interviews so I'll provide some information from my experience, but note that it is fundamentally anecdotal and related to my industry.

  1. Bring something to take notes in, a couple of pens and a good number of resumes (I use a 'portfolio' to hold all of these things similar to this). If your previous work is both public information and easily displayed in paper form, it may be reasonable to bring examples in, but I doubt you will use it.
  2. Do a little background research on the team members - take a look at the company website and their linkedin profiles. It never hurts to have some idea of what you are getting into. It also can help you when thinking about questions you may have and topics you may want to discuss
  3. In terms of preparation, outside of researching who you are meeting with, make sure you know the company well, understand their products and structure as best you can and come prepared with questions about the areas you don't understand. I would guess these interviews / meetings will be mostly fit based so make sure you are well rested and ready for potentially a full day of back to back interviews. If you're the kind of person who stresses, try to eat well the day before, get a good night's sleep and prepare your outfit and some water for yourself in the morning.
  4. Be prepared to field questions about what you are expecting in terms of salary, benefits, etc. This is a mistake I have made. There is a chance they ask you what you expect for salary and they might even offer you the job on the spot. Be prepared with a specific idea of where you want to start salary negotiations. Also, be prepared to give them an idea of how long it will take you to make a decision if they do give you an offer and how long until you could actually start on the job.

I think those are the big pieces of advice I'd give. Again, congrats! Be confident, they wouldn't bring you in and spend a full day on you if they weren't VERY interested so you're probably almost in the job at this point.

Edit: Forgot about your question of which day to go in. I don't think it particularly matters. The one thing I'd say is that Monday's are very busy in some industries and so people may not have as much time to speak with you. I'd probably lean towards Tuesday if I was you, but again, I don't think it really matters.

I occasionally go on MMO binges (as some PC gamers are wont to do), and will play in bed for combination video gaming/wife cuddling. I've had great success with a leather padfolio, the hard-sided kind with brass corners.

It was a hand-me-down so I can't provide a link, but it looks about like this. I am not even sure if it's real leather, but the leather-like feel is smooth and pleasant to the touch and has worked great with multiple gaming mice as well as the very cheap Microsoft and Lenovo models.

Bonus points, I found I could slide it halfway into the open edge of my laptop lap desk and it not only supported the mouse well, but could be moved as one logical unit.

I take my 3DS XL everywhere I go, mainly for the StreetPasses (I try to hit up Home Depot parking lots or go in a Barnes & Noble for those) and the Play Coins.

I did have it in my back pocket, but I didn't realize how much more the XL stuck out of my pocket and I scraped it up a good bit just by sitting in chairs. Fortunately I managed to get a good replacement, and not only do I have the Hori Duraflexi clear protective case on it, but I use this thing as a waist pouch to carry all my stuff in. I've never liked carrying purses, but a waist pouch seems like an acceptable compromise as it's basically a big external pocket. And sitting down is suddenly a lot more comfortable without all the stuff in my back pockets -- I never realized how uncomfortable it actually was until I stopped.

u/femalenerdish · 1 pointr/dndnext

I like the idea of a set. It looks great and it's cool to have it all match.

But.... A lot of the pieces aren't as useful for me. I don't DM or use spell cards. I'd want full size paper to fit in there. (For character sheets and my own random notes.) There's no place to store dice.

I like the ruler and the 3-ring aspect. But overall, the fake leather clipboard binder the plastic storage clipboard that my SO and I use, respectively, serve mostly the same purpose. And my dice fit in the plastic storage clipboard.

I think what I'd really want are full size, quick reference cheat sheets for classes, conditions, spells, etc. So I wouldn't have to open the book all the time. But you can't really do that without upsetting WotC.

Maybe you could add a part that's magnetic. (Like a page in the binder.) And then make magnets for spell slots, HP, conditions, etc. That would be more useful to me. Then I don't have to search for my pencil, erase, and rewrite every time I cast a spell or take damage. That could make your product more special than the individual pieces that already exist. But, my group doesn't play at a table, so that might be less useful for others.

I haven't tried them personally, but the Leuchtturm1917 "springback binders" might be of interest to you:

https://www.leuchtturm1917.us/springback-binder-a4-covered-with-robust-canvas-220-x-305-x-25-mm.html

Basically a binder without holes but just holds paper in a grip.

Another option might be the Maruman holders:

https://www.amazon.com/Maruman-notepad-Pockets-Nimoshine-HN187FA/dp/B00TES81Y6/ref=sr_1_2?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1505426123&sr=1-2&keywords=maruman+a4

Otherwise, most options for refillable covers seem to be smaller size like Kokuyo Systemic (in B5, A5 or A6), Kokuyo Campus Smart Ring Binder or Lihit Lab Smart Fit .

u/lkflip · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

It's not real leather, obviously given the price, but I have the wundermax zipped one because I needed something fast that could hold a tablet and it's actually pretty good. The stitching is neat, the material isn't total junk, and the logo is nonobvious as being some random amazon brand.

u/marindo · 1 pointr/ipad

Look for something like [this](Alpine Swiss Leather Portfolio, Writing Pad, Presentation Folder Business Case Comes in a Gift Bag. Note Pad can be inserted / adjusted both for a Right or Left Handed writer - Folder Flap perfect to carry an iPad in https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004M6W4NE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_d76QCb2G6KRSW)

I'd want to see it in person to make sure it's width can zip enough though. Try in store, but otherwise, something like that.

If you're still. Worried about flex, you can put a notepad on top of the case, then have it covered, but then it'll be very tight or impossible to close, then you'll need to think laptop suitcase, which wouldn't be a bad idea honestly.

> The position is within my university.

Ok, so they expect you to be a student, and thus have a limited wardrobe, and a fledgling knowledge base.

Try not to wear jeans. Dockers or casual/dress pants if you have them. If jeans are all you have, then go with your best & cleanest pair. No t-shirts, unless thats all you own. Something with a collar - a polo/golf shirt should be ideal. Avoid sneakers/tennis shoes unless thats all you have.

This is a student, on-campus job. The ground rules are going to be much more relaxed than a real employer interview.

> What should I bring with me?

Something to write with, and write on. If this were a real interview, I'd tell you to have one of these, perhaps with your university logo on it, with a couple copies of your resume inside: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013CLTKE/ But this is a student, on-campus job. Bring anything equivallent. A spiral notebook and a pen that works.

> What kind of questions should I prepare for as an IT Tech Assistant?

I have no idea what the job description says. Educated guesses:

  • This is PC & SmartPhone/Tablet support for fellow students.
  • Be prepared to talk about what you know about Wireless networks and how to configure them on a client device.
  • Be prepared to talk about DHCP, ping, traceroute and flushdns
  • What is an Apple 2-button reset, and why is it significant? What is the Android equivallent of this?
  • Tell me why it's such a bad idea for each student to setup their own personal Wireless Router.

  • This is Audio/Video & PC support for professors & TAs.
  • All of the above.
  • How does one select INPUT2 instead of INPUT1 on a projector? (thats humor)
u/Pyorrhea · 2 pointsr/frugalmalefashion

Sounds more like you need a portfolio case than a briefcase. Something like this. I carried one around for all of my job fairs/interviews and it served me pretty well. I got mine for free from places I interned at though, so I can't give much advice on good/cheap ones.

u/dac22 · 3 pointsr/notebooks

That certainly does sound like a unicorn. You might have better luck looking for padfolios that are also tablet cases or padfolios with a pocket. Then use the tablet spot/pocket for the composition notebook. For example, something like this; just tuck the back cover of the composition notebook into the pocket area.

Edit: Also look at padfolios on etsy. If you find one close to what you want, you could contact the seller and see if they'll customize one for you.

u/LaurenIdiosyncratic · 4 pointsr/Wicca

I found some but they're a lil pricey.

This, this, and this.

Leather portfolios are nice too though and they're a less money gobbling :)

This one's plain black.

This one comes in a few colors.

Bonus:

This isn't a binder type thing but it's still a cool ass journal.

u/WayToDoor · 4 pointsr/firefox

Okay so, I don't know if that count but my mac on os x High Sierra (did a clean install on upgrade) overheat a lot when using firefox 57 stable. Activity monitor shows this : https://api-d.com/snaps/2017-11-28_23-27-54-6talbvh3bf.png

It happen only on certain pages (Youtube, Amazon foreground. For example, this one : https://www.amazon.fr/Wedo-Elegance-0585001-Conf%C3%A9rencier-amovibles/dp/B004PGI1AG/)

I, too, am using a scaled resolution, and here is a profile I did on the previous page : https://api-d.com/snaps/profile.json

u/NoReallyImAHuman · 1 pointr/weddingplanning

We got this padfolio for our officiant/my best friend to use along. It’s a nice pop of color for the ceremony. I know if you reach out to office supply stores, they may have ones you can personalize.

u/keanex · 1 pointr/sales

A decent looking briefcase, I got one one on Amazon for like $50 and the people I meet seem to think that it looks nice! It's not overstated, still kind of casual, but I'm in industrial metal sales, no need to be fancy. This is what my mom got me when I graduated.

Also something like this is awesome too.

u/melrom · 2 pointsr/GiftIdeas

Does she already have a job lined up? If not, sometimes a paid subscription to a job hunting website would be appreciated. In addition to the leather briefcase idea, another option is a leather portfolio (https://www.amazon.com/Alpine-Swiss-Portfolio-Presentation-Business/dp/B004M6W4NE) which is light for traveling to interviews and always impressive when a resume is taken out. :)

u/nthrthrwyccnt · 35 pointsr/lawschooladmissions

I would really like a padfolio, I think. Minnesota’s admittens look cute. I liked Northwestern’s umbrella because I have an uncanny ability to lose umbrellas.

Things that I DON’T want: tshirt or lanyard

u/Dreble · 18 pointsr/GetEmployed

I have this binder that I carry to job interviews. It is professional looking and makes you seem organized.

Inside it I put 3 pens, a print out of the job ad that I am responding to, 5 copies of my resume, and duplicate copies of any documents that I have been instructed to fill out prior to the interview. I write down any questions that I have on the note pad. As I take my seat, I ask if it is okay to take notes. I have never been told that I can't take notes, but I still always ask.

I have been told that I got the job because I was close to equally qualified as another candidate but I seemed better prepared than they did. I have only ever interviewed for 1 job where I did not get an offer resulting from the interview.

u/chifumi17 · 4 pointsr/diamondpainting

This is all I could find but it looks like it'll do the job.

Can I get some opinions on my messenger bag?

https://www.viscontibags.co.uk/all-bags/93-harvard-xl.html#/52-color-oil_tan

Bought it on Amazon almost exactly a year ago and I love this thing. It does bleed onto tan pants though, but that was a price worth paying since at the time it was only like $60. Used to get shit from my gf because she says it's "too plain".

Edit: also rock this padfolio with it for work, you could say I like leather. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07236Q2C3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

u/inkfade · 1 pointr/Journaling

Yeah, I'd seen one in a journaling group on Facebook and started watching videos and thought, "This would be perfect for my needs!" And it is. They do offer a smaller one: amazon.com/Inner-Carrying-sizeS-CA82-BEIGE/dp/B01GNT6Q22

u/RSquared · 1 pointr/dndnext

When I play, I bring a folio similar to this one, with notepad, pen/pencils, a zippered pocket for a set of dice and space to tuck my character sheets and a Kindle for my books (I have hardcovers at home, so I honestly do not feel badly about using PDF copies). I mostly DM on roll20 now, so that's made life super-easy because most of my notes are on google docs/sheets and my books stay in a neat stack on my desk.

u/rbegirliegirl · 1 pointr/findapath

> bring a folder with copies of your resume

u/GlitchStitch, keeping these in a portfolio looks nice too. There's also space for a notebook and pen so you can take notes, and a place to put the business cards that you might be given.

If you want to work once you're in school, you can look for a work study job. Sometimes these are nice because you're able to do homework while you're there -- for example, being an attendant at a computer lab or the library. You might not be busy for your entire shift.

u/txgb324 · 1 pointr/apple

http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00OLODPVM

I just ordered this earlier today. It looks like this seller usually does super cheap prices, but then tacks on 20 bucks shipping. These however, show as having free prime shipping so the total cost is only like four or five dollars. I suspect it's an error, but I figured I'd roll the dice.

u/GrumpyPhilosopher7 · 6 pointsr/policeuk

Document holders are useful. Something like this: Maruse Leather Padfolio A4 Executive Leather Writing Portfolio, Document Holder, Business Case - Made in Italy (Navy) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01MXWVJH2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_DH.xCbPDDYKRQ

u/welcmhm · 3 pointsr/fountainpens

Ooh, just thought of a dark horse candidate: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.amazon.com/Maruman-note-holder-pocket-Nymosinet/dp/B00TES81Y6&ved=2ahUKEwihoJnfldbgAhVPoZ4KHTzbAEcQFjAFegQIBxAB&usg=AOvVaw0wk-yNFPqUGg_TqolZIVZw. It's an A4 notebook/notepad holder from Maruman. I have the A5 sized one and it's super fantastic. Can hold 3-4 pads, spare sheets of paper (or envelopes, blotter paper, whatever. Has a notch to hold a pen. It's not the most elegant or high end solution out there, but it's amazingly usable. I have a couple pads of paper, some envelopes, guide sheets and blotter paper in mine. I've been thinking about getting the A4 size to use at work, but then I'd have to supply my own paper too, rather than just using the cheap stuff at work. Still tempting though.

u/morrisc311 · 1 pointr/electronic_cigarette

I think a coolfire IV would travel well. Maybe with like a mini or nano tank on it. Also you could check out this:

I just got a low-cost cover from Funwork off Amazon. Just got it today so I really haven’t put it through it’s paces yet but just from first blush I think I’m going to like it.
