There are many many options for housing a salamander. Nobody knows has a better internet presence for keeping them then the folks at caudata.org as mentioned by u/ye_ol_chuckaboo below. They have a helpful forum where you can get info advice and answers to questions. they also have care-sheets. So i suggest you spend soem time looking there.

Some simple ideas would start with something like:

go get a 40 gallon aquarium or larger. or 3 - 4 foot plastic storage box or like this

whatever you use it will need a lid to keep things out and the salamander inside but it must allow air to pass through

the main thing here is that it doesnt need to be more than 15 inches tall but should have as much surface area (footprint) as possible. A good minimum is about 4 - 4.5 square feet. or anything at or above the "40 gallon size " on the standard US tank sizes chart here

buy some organic untreated (chemical free, fertilizer free) topsoil from a garden store.

plan to use at least 6 - 8 inches of soil at the bottom

order several cork bark hides like this logs or half logs will be good to partially bury and to keep on the surface so the animal can choose a hide.

get a *large* smooth sided glass ceramic water bowl like this or like this

use only smooth objects stones, smooth glass ceramic, plastic. no gravel no sharp rocks no sharp wood.

Moss and plants can help add humidity and attractiveness.

a water mister bottle is helpful to have around

feel free to ask any specific questions

Two suggestions:

Since you just started playing, the UltraPro Tower is great to just store two decks and some tokens. Comes in a ton of colors, is very durable, and holds what you need. The best for the price (around $10):

https://www.amazon.com/Red-Satin-Tower-Deck-Boxes/dp/B00FRIEAN8/

If you're wanting to bring multiple decks to casual play nights or similar events, you might want to consider investing in something that will let you bring multiple Corp and Runner decks. I like the Ultimate Guard Twin Flip n' Tray:

https://www.amazon.com/Card-Twin-Flip-Tray-Xenoskin/dp/B016CWIJXY/

Comes in multiple colors, the magnetic latches are strong, and is a great way to carry four decks (or five, since I take out the token tray and slip in another deck).

BONUS SUGGESTION:

The Quiver. I've filled my Quiver up with upwards of 8 constructed decks and a bunch of extras. It holds my cube at the moment, but is a great case if you find yourself wanting to bring lots of cards anywhere:

I did a bit of research on this last year (before ultimately deciding to just keep it in the garage!) and for a few months had a bike tent.

Worked fine but eventually toppled over one windy day.

My budget was only around £50, but I did consider one of these (which seem to be considered the best option).

Ultimately I decided against it, and kept in the garage instead (insurace policy was only £50 more a year to keep it on the driveway, so the cost of a shed for the bike wasn't really justified).

The next thing up seems to be a purpose made metal locker, but they run as £400+

Like I say though, the plastic sheds you can get seem to be best bang for buck. All I would say is though I feel like having a shed/plastic storage is almost advertising that theres something to steal in it.

I appreciate this isn't the most helpful post, but as noone else has posted yet it's at least something!

u/ThePonderousBear · 1 pointr/lrcast

small notepad and pen/pencil for keeping track of life totals, and other notes (e.g. Bomb cards/removal your opponent uses in game 1, or sideboard notes)

I would really recommend a deck box. I like the Ultra-Pro Satin Tower. It should only run you 10$ or so, and has a nice bottom compartment for your dice/counters.

Sleeves. Whatever brand you want. Protect your cards, and makes it easier to shuffle your deck.

Water/Snacks. You will be there for a while, plan accordingly.

And have fun.

Its a slightly rural suburb, but most of what I have going on could fit on a less than a third of an acre. Just make sure you've got plenty of southern exposure (sunlight). My wife and I bought this property 3 years ago and both have full time jobs and 2 little kiddos. It is time consuming, but the bulk of the work is in the setup. There's maintenance here and there but if you set it up right it becomes very minimal.

Coyotes are a huge problem where we live and they can clear a 6' fence in a single bound. We lost about 6 chickens in the first year before I had enough and completely enclosed their coop and run. The coop was in a 20'x30' fenced run area and so i just added some steel poles and fittings (like you might see on one of those car canopies) and covered the rest with a cheap chicken wire. Now I have passion fruit vines growing up that! Havent lost a single chicken since.

Wal-Mart really doesn't have much of anything. They have really weak Ultra pro boxes, and some plastic storage cubes that'll fall right open. Your best bet is took look at Ultra Pro Satin Towers, and Ultimate Guard Boulder Deck Cases online if you want the best of the best. The Professor over at Tolarian Community College on YouTube does a fantastoc job at grading deck boxes if you don't know what to get.

Prof. also has a video on everyday items that you could use to hold cards. Check that out here if that's more your style.

Lastly he also has multiple videos that review binders that you can check out right here.

" Got this for my inlaws, we toss them both in here when they decide to come visit, takes our made about 10 minutes to clean up after they leave, if someone needs to use the restroom at same time they can just open the door and go outside in beautiful mother nature. If they make us made we just pull the extension cord out of the side of our house and leave them in the dark for a couple hours until the apologize. Its great, we may buy another for our kids. "

I can fit one deck and assorted dice in this tower, its great. Bottom detaches to put 9 dice in, and then dice can fit up top with the cards as well.

I love mtg and have been playing since Theros. I'd love if I got this deckbox. I play stadard modern and commander as of right now and am looking to expand into more commander decks. I usually run a gruul deck or red green deck and have one in every format. I'm not excited about any one card in Oath but I am more excited to see the two headed giant synergy of the cards.

u/SwingNinja · 1 pointr/DIY

If you need something removable, I'd suggest looking into buying. Like maybe this one. It might cost more, but definitely it will save you time.

u/DoctorOtaku · 2 pointsr/yugioh

Is this the deck box you’re talking about?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FRIE76I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_sEMwCb3AWSCAQ

Also. I know double sleeves aren’t legal. But I don’t really plan to play in tournaments. If you are gonna play on a competitive level then it’s a little odd that you ask to how to clean sleeves. Just spend a few dollars on new sleeves man.

If cost is such an issue I recommend these. They’re cheap and sturdy. And they aren’t matted in the front so you’ll see the holos.

If you can't find a garage or a buddy who has one, consider buying a simple carport that you can put over it. It'll be important to poke some holes in the canopy and anchor the support structure extra well (multiple deep metal stakes and maybe a tag line for security) for the winds. You will most likely have to scrape snow off the top so it doesn't get too heavy and buckle. The other idea is to just use a normal bike cover and let the snow build up around it but you will almost certainly have to replace it come next riding season. More importantly is the winterization process for your bike itself. Do some research and figure out if you want to put some fuel stabilizer in the tank (and if you want to leave a full tank or empty tank or remove the tank alltogether) to avoid rust. Also I recommend removing your battery and keeping it on a tender over the winter. Or you can just buy a gel battery and never have to think about it again.

u/mutigers42 · 2 pointsr/HomeImprovement

I have this Lifefime 12x8 one:

https://www.amazon.com/Lifetime-60079-15x8-Dual-Entry/dp/B00CTVQ6UG/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2GPUS33FAHPGQ&keywords=lifetime+shed+8x15&qid=1557374977&s=gateway&sprefix=Shed+8%2Caps%2C162&sr=8-2

Absolutely love it. Got it for $1500 a while back, and having the two doors has been very useful.

Never leaks, and has the flooring, so never wet from rain, since water would flow under it. Also had concrete slab poured for it to be level - just contacted local companies to get quotes.

Rather than hang a lot on the walls, since they aren’t as load-bearing as a wood shed, I have connected plastic shelving from menards. Works well. Although, I did find a how-to on YouTube to build a complete stud/shelving system from within, but had already got the shelving.

Highly recommend the Lifetime ones; they seem to have more options than Suncast.

u/oldstalenegative · 3 pointsr/bikecommuting

Pick a spot that won't bum out the CEO and park a metal storage shed like this out in the parking lot. Better yet split the cost with a coworker and then you can say you're just making space for more cars =)

u/Sether2121 · 3 pointsr/yugioh

Ultra Pro Satin Towers are pretty good. Reasonably fit 40 main, 15 double sleeved extra, 15 side, and another 40 card deck.

I've been using it for a while and it's held through being tossed around in my trunk.

u/rightmindedBen · 1 pointr/bicycling

What about a tarp shed ? This one gives you a lot of size options. Mine is over 10 years old and is still in near perfect condition. Plus they are a fraction of the price. Just throw in a some bike parking and you're good to go

my rectec lives in a craftsman resin 4x8 shed and has worked beautifully in it for years. I have propped open the doors and put a big piece of cardboard over it for an awning in the rain as the 4 feet part is depth. So a hook knife a portable car canopy
and maybe an actual pair of old wellies and an umbrella with cut down handle and coathanger pushed through it? I know it's useful shit dude but also super kooky when you break all that stuff out.

One possible solution for the lawn that's an occasion parking spot is to put drainage/support in and put sod over or plant new grass. Like this.

u/TabbyCaterpillar · 1 pointr/DIY

What should I use to secure this plastic storage bin to the sidewalk in front of my house?

My goal is to have it secured so it won't blow away in a storm, and also keep someone from walking off with it since I live in a city where people do steal things from in front of your house.

I would also like to put two flower pots next to it and I have two large plastic flower pots to use. They are not very heavy so they will also need to be bolted down.

u/phythefae · 9 pointsr/amazonreviews

u/Gyroscope13 · 3 pointsr/swdestiny

I use Ultra Pro Tower deck boxes for most of my decks. The tray at the bottom is perfect for tokens + character dice.

u/Tabled333 · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

I'd go with grass pavers. They are cheap and look good. You can find them on amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072KFB6Y8

u/LukeWarmCage · 1 pointr/Homebrewing

IDK your budget, but small plastic garden sheds are not terribly expensive and so long as you make damn sure the fridge is plugged into a GFCI outlet I wouldn't stress it anymore in San Diego's climate (so long as the shed is shaded by the building or well ventilated if not.

u/MrDelirious · 1 pointr/magicTCG

I use the bottom compartment of one of these to store these. I like those dice because they're a little bigger than average and easier to see. There's room in the compartment for 3 D20s, but those are all in my Thromok EDH deck, where the D6's didn't cut it.

u/Madnapali · 2 pointsr/swdestiny

The Ultra Pro Tower is probably what you're looking for.

The Ultra Pro M2 or the Ultimate Guard Flip are also a good option. If you have 12 or less dice and don't mind having your tokens separate, you can use a cheapy plastic deck box.

u/arizona-lad · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

A permeable paver system may work for you. It allows you to grow grass, etc. while allowing a good base to walk or drive on:

There are plenty of other products out there that accomplish the same, for example, this may be more the size you need.

This appears to be it. Must say the reviews seem reliable.

No, you can actually buy home building kits on Amazon. Go take a look.

No prime shipping, but you can just pick one up off of Amazon.

My depression is screaming to take the first option, but I know that everyone else seems to think that is a bad thing to stay away from the scary world outside. first I'lk buy this then I'll buy this kit then I'll see if I can find contractors willing to tear down my old home and build this new one in exchange for goods and Amazon gift cards or just buy millions of dollars in prepaid visa cards. I'll have them rig the house with solar power and a rain water collection, purification, and heating system. The one issue might be that I might have to move to get food delivered beyond the pizza, sandwiches, and Chinese food in my area.
